Just got back from our 15-yr anniversary vacation that was supposed to happen in 2020 but got delayed a few times due to the 'vid. We went on a 14-night Disney Panama Canal cruise which departed from New Orleans. We spent five days in New Orleans beforehand to attend Mardi Gras and had a blast. We took the kids to Bourbon Street and it was an eye-opening experience for them. LOL. It was our first time at Mardi Gras, and all the good and bad stuff that you hear about Bourbon Street are true! Outside of Bourbon Street, the French Quarter is a beautiful place to visit. We'll have to go back and check out the Garden District and other places next time. We ate at Top Chef Isaac Toups' Meatery and other great restaurants out there. The cruise was amazing. The Panama Canal is an engineering marvel. We also had stops at Cozumel, Cartagena, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo. The Grand Cayman port visit was unfortunately cancelled due to their tight COVID restrictions. There was one thing I saw while we were in Gatun Lake in the Panama Canal that made me think of you guys. I saw a Maersk container ship that reminded me of set 10241. Excuse the bed head as it was around 8am when we got through the first locks and into Gatun Lake.13 points

Yes! All of the boxes we sell are factory sealed! The colored boxes have a light inner seal, so there is occasionally some shifting inside the box in the shipping process, but we send them in the brown outer box as is from the factory.5 points

I only FBA. Large sets get packed inside a LEGO brown cardboard box with a larger white label on the tape seam that states “Do not open. Sell as a set” I’ve only gotten a couple returns of these sets and both times the set came back in that same box, minty fresh.2 points

Nope. Put them all in 24x24 boxes and shipped 'em. Wasn't smart, but I was pressed for time. If I would've had the factory boxes, I probably would've done what was suggested above and slapped a 'Do Not Open - Sold as a set' sticker on each of them. Or at least written it if you don't have the stickers.1 point

Is it just me or Bale's Batman looks like Zombie Batman in that picture?1 point

Me I would only do those $800 sets on ebay, one way to avoid issues with ebay is put in the title (As-is) I have about 10 Disney castles sitting at the warehouse opened. From those nice Amazon buyers1 point

It really doesn't go live until 1pm EST. There was some stuff up early you could preorder through the app, but they fixed it.1 point

I found that if much easier if you don't attach the three pieces with yellow lined stickers and arranged them on the table BEFORE applying the stickers. Then attach the bricks and vroom vroom Yay LEGO!1 point

Some more sets officially retired on Lego website today including https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/pirates-of-barracuda-bay-213221 point

I like them (or maybe like the idea of them 🤷♂️?), but definitely display as if they are 25-50% less than msrp. Could have been better. Piece count/Star Wars/Price seem in line. It feels very much along the lines of an architecture set to me where you get a 1000 bricks for a tiny display.1 point

Where done with big sets, Or last big order of great hall comes in soon, and once those are gone, Going to stick to selling price range $30-$50 way less returns in that range.0 points

Correct, with the exception of your past-tense verbs. I still have 18 units stranded there since late Nov. Seller support has been zero-help. "be patient" is their standard reply.0 points

I go back and forth on what’s acceptable for box damage. Here’s what I just got from Zappos as an investment. Not pancaked, but definitely creased all all along the top. Their system is setup to accept returns, but not exchanges (for Lego). I got it at 30% off (20% Honey + 10% educator discount). I recently got them to knock 10% off 123 Sesame St, which I got for 25% off, so I don’t want to raise too much of a fuss too often; and I’m not sure I’d get the 20% Honey offer again if I returned/repurchased. In other words, I’m not happy but I’m leaning towards keeping it. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk0 points
