That generally seems to be what he is going for whenever he finds a thread to play contrarian on…and drop a non-sequitor COVID reference in to try and inflame the natives. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk8 points

Anytime you're working with trademarked logos you generally aren't allowed to alter them, probably the same way on the ones on vehicles as well, just sticks out more on something of this scale.2 points

No I’m totally serious , he was freely elected after a revolution that deposed of the puppet the Russians put in after a rigged election. People are free to put whoever they want in charge as long as it is a free and fair election and they are the ones that hold that president accountable. His background doesn’t matter, history is full of real leaders that came from humble backgrounds to become great leaders for their nations. That’s how democracy works. Sad that people take this view of any person just based on their background. So you prefer a person that would just cave to Russian demands and becomes slaves like Belarus over fighting for their freedom ? Putin had already proved his dictatorship in his own country, Syria , Libya , Sudan , and Moldova to name but a few. He is a megalomaniac that will stop at nothing until he achieves his vision, normal rules to apply to him.2 points

This is the most dangerous side effect of the "Post Truth" era. The slippery slope of "both sides aren't being 150% objective, with all their i's dotted and their t's crossed just so, and so they are both guilty of deception, and morally equivalent." is terrifying. The Bullshit Asymmetry Principle plus social media bubbles have made it super bad, and we are only at the beginning of deep-fakery, which will pour gas on the fire of it. All the more reason to go back to fundamentals. I'm curious, @dennugsmello do you think that one or the other side in this war is right or wrong? And if you do, why? (am not interested in arguing, I promise, just want some anecdotal data.)2 points

Another nice cl score. Got him down to $380. He had a lot of offers on individual sets but wanted to move the whole lot. Picked up last night. Pulled the haunted house for myself & listed the rest for $380. Just accepted an offer of $360, they are driving 90 minutes to pickup. Could have done a bit better but an easy hh for $20, cant beat that.1 point

Are these retiring soon? I get that the current Amazon price is great but with all this supply, it will come back down to earth, I'm sure. Plus Disney is charging a $5 premium, so if they stop being exclusive, you end up overpaying.1 point

You’re right. In the first place I thought pirelli tires on regular cars have word pirelli curved, but they don’t. It just stick out for me on the lego car because that word is too big. I looked at the picture from The box that you posted here but conveniently car is in motion so that (oversized) word isn’t clear.1 point

And still going. Got my order shipment notification on the first pair so I’m in for two more. Also noticed today that Rakuten is offering 8% cash back for shopDisney right now.1 point

Used too many rare colors. Build price is crazy. I wonder how many actually get built.1 point

Hi everyone! I'm Brickdream10, my name is Pedro. Before to start browsing and posting on the forum, I wanted to introduce myself. I am a Lego AFOL since long time, I love building Lego sets and also making my own creations by using bricks in a bulk or through design software. I recently decided to upload a couple of ideas in “Lego ideas”. These creations are called “Life!” and “The path of the cherry trees”. For sure I will upload any other ideas in the future. Hope to meet more Lego fans like myself in this forum, and to share creations and opinions with all of you about this such us beautiful passion like Lego. Thanks and Regards!!1 point

it's disingenuous to treat all propaganda the same...there is fairy large range from hurtful lies to subtle interpretations Ukraine is tiny in comparison to Russia. As consumers of information we should owe it to our selves to have a firm and truthful understanding of such major global conflicts.1 point

I think it has been like that for a while. If you have a single item priced 1 cent below threshold it would qualify for gwp. But if you have multiple items in cart you have to go over the threshold to qualify for gwp1 point

Picked this up Sunday on FB Marketplace. Initially it was just to pick up the 6952: Solar Power Transporter and a 2 lb bag of loose older lego. Then member brings out 462: Mobil Rocket Launcher. Looking through the original box for the 6952 he mentions there are some extra space parts. Turns out it was a nearly complete 6930: Space Supply Station minus the base plate (which I have several) $50 for the whole lot. The 2 lb bag had a ton of great parts also. Love classic space lego!1 point

i haven't FBA in 2 years now. FBM is very lucrative, i have access to the premier online marketplace buyers, maintain control of all my inventory, i list hundreds of sku at a time without any storage fees, every order goes out within 24 hours, the money shows up in my account the instant the shipping label prints and i can disburse the money to bank every day if i want to. with FBM, i have none of the non-compensated extra work and time spent trying to figure out where amazon screwed up with my inventory and trying to claw back some compensation for their mistake. every item i sell is packaged perfectly every time - 0 returns for item being damaged. with new amazon shipping discounts , a dollar or 2 more to send UPS ground across the country compared to the next state, my margins have never been better .1 point

[What LEGO Set Did You Take Apart Today] This is my counter to the thread topic; otherwise I will never get to post on it Took apart the NES set I got off Ebay...Man o man...it's really cool...built like no other set I've taken apart😋; really special set and obviously a big deal for Nintendo fans (so glad I got this one for my personal collection). So realistic looking console. I used to be a "purist" and typically broke "everything down to the studs" (I've had some EPIC breakdowns over Ninjago City, Joker's Rollercoaster, UCS Sand Crawler, All the major recent Modulars like Assembly Square... but I've softened a bit and on this set I kept all the screen pieces as is...and some panels w/ a zillion 1x1s...that's neither fun to take apart or build..IMO). Anyhoo also recently too apart The "UCS" Guardian Ship (lots of cool adjusting panels as it should be w/ a ship like that)...I still have a couple PetShops on my immediate backlog.1 point

I have started rebuilding my town & I'm switching to the new road plates & the mils system. I got my built sets moved to the new mils plates & I'm undecided on the sidewalks. Should I go dark grey walks (second pic) or light grey (third pic). I had dark grey & a light curb with the old plates. Most modulars come with dark grey walks too. The light grey seems to offset the new road plates better though. Any thoughts? I added the white line to widen the road plate a bit. It's narrower than the old plate. I do like them better than the old plates.1 point

Find the removal order and removal shipment ID/details and open a case: FBA issues>removal orders>request reimbursement>received incorrect item. Send them a picture of the item you received, the packing slip, and the shipping box. They will have you fill in the LPN # off the sticker on the package. They should reimburse you and you just keep that thing they sent you.1 point

i built the creator tiger and crocodile sets over the weekend. for reasons i can't put into words, these sets appeal to the lego purist in me. they were quick and interesting builds. the tiger has several sections that snap satisfyingly with a "click" when put together. i am thankful lego put the time and effort to make some actual printed wedge tiles for the tiger set forming the top of the stripe pattern that are critical to the set but could have been ruined with stickers.1 point

Ukraine hired an actor to be president. I don’t know why people are so gullible for this crap. Propaganda indeed. I feel bad for the Ukrainians. I think this war is about profit and I would not be surprised if Putin and his cronies are on the payroll. Regardless of who “wins” the elites will profit while everyone else suffers.0 points
