We got the Vorys letter in back in January and immediately hired an IP attorney. Our letter called out our presence on Amazon, eBay and Walmart but of course not on Bricklink. We use a different store name on Amazon because we sell more than Lego but it was probably our business address that linked them together. After my attorney spent a couple weeks getting the lay of the land understanding our position in the market, where we source our products, our quality control measures and near flawless customer service for 15 years, he recommended we respond with an 8 page "Thanks but no thanks" which was sent about 2 weeks ago. At first I was nervous about responding in fear of putting a target on my back (knowing so many others are tossing the letter in the trash) but too much of my life has been dedicated to Lego for me to sit on my hands. Most of us reading this thread can legitimately say we are more knowledgeable about Lego products than most (if not all) of Lego's authorized resellers in the US. I can also tell you with 100% confidence that by "us" reselling genuine Lego products and providing a 2nd life only adds to the perceived value of the Lego brand. If Lego sliced the necks of ALL legitimate Lego resellers then Lego would quickly become nothing more than Mega Bloks with a shinier brick. The perceived value of Lego would erode very quickly ...the parents who now justify buying a $350 Gunship by saying "I can probably sell this eBay in 2 years and get my money back" would no longer have this option and thus make better buying decisions. This would also produce many more "pop-up shops" with a higher number of scammers and the market will have a tougher time determining the good sellers from the bad. We are one of the good guys and treat Lego like part of the family so for us to be called out in this dragnet is very disappointing. We intend on fighting this until we run out of resources.6 points

Not sure if this is the right place for this but spent this morning with my nephew. Weather has been awful all day and hes been with me as a distraction, time away from his Dad who is on palliative care. We went with the Trons today... He rarely gets access to my vintage sets but said he actually preferred it to the Star Wars sets! I asked why and he said " look at them! They are all about to get blown to bits but they are all still smiling!" Melted my heart! š He asked if he could take it home with him to his house and when I'd stopped laughing we picked out a Chima Polybag for him to take back instead. š¤·āāļø3 points

Jean-Luc Brunel found dead in his jail cell after being detained for the alleged rape and trafficking of minors for sexual exploitation. So both he and Epstein offed themselves while in custody?!2 points

I have seen a few different reasons. My general take is that it doesn't matter the reason, as a persons religious faith is their own. That is their business, and all that should be required is sincerity and in good faith. In other words don't use it lightly or deceptively. In my case, specifically, I classify it as genetic modification. I prefer the old way of vaccination, where you expose your body and let it naturally learn to fight. There is a traditional COVID vaccine on the horizon called Novavax and I'll be getting that as soon as I am able. But our bodies are temples made in the image of God and there are things we should not meddle in. I have no doubt, that it is made with the best of intentions and its a very light example of this. However, the line must be drawn on a personal level of what we deem acceptable for our own bodies. I feel we are opening a door here.... and it will lead to future medicine with extreme cosmetic and performance body mods, Your very nature will be modded and patched like software and your wallet will determine your children's abilities and traits. Not standing in the way of these things as people obviously want it, just it's not for me and I want to be left alone to live my life according to my convictions.2 points

After 7 years and my refusal to give Disney any more of my money, I finally watched season 1 of Daredevil. The show was brutal. Not just the fight choreography but also the plotline and the treatment of all characters. At the end of season 1 all characters were scarred by the flow of events. Each character had distinct personality and sets of principles that drive the character, even the bad guys. I understand why a lot of people love this Kingpin. Top notch writing all around. This was also the most Catholic show I have ever seen produced by Hollywood. It went beyond the typical tropes, like using confession scenes for cheap exposition dump or shoot out in a church. The wise priest provided Matt with counsel rooted in actual Catholic teachings. He was a real and nuanced father figure (pun intended). It was rather refreshing to hear and see consistent and somewhat complex discussions on morality and philosophy in the center of this series. It was not the typical "I don't know", or " make everything up as we go", or "fade out before going too deep to discussion of morality or human nature" tropes prevalent in modern TV shows. My only minor gripe was Karen obviously had more chemistry with Foggy but the show did not want to go that route. On to season 22 points

The one on the right is like a modded version of the right car in this set. I'd never seen that windscreen style before.1 point

I recently started Persona 5 Royal and that was a great choice, especially if you like JRPGs. I considered the new Horizon game but I don't know how I can invest a lot of time in one game, let alone two Yay LEGO!1 point

Compared to the adrenaline junkies I work with, I am very cautious. The point I was trying to make is that it is up to everyone what their personal threshold for safety is and that even if you do everything "right" you still might end up that way. I am a perfectly healthy 35 year old with no pre-existing conditions. My chances of death from covid are tiny! I still weighed the pros and cons and contrasted it with my religious faith and choose not to get the shot. I consciously accepted that risk.....and I am well aware I took a somewhat increased risk. Point is its up to the individual. If you want to be an idiot and not wear a seatbelt go for it. I wear mine, but I support the rights of others to choose not to. Because as an autocross and sports car enthusiast I understand the protection it provides and not wearing one is outside my safety zone.1 point

I had to rewind it at one point; **Spoiler alert** when they arrest Navarro at a "private airfield in Polk County". I was born and raised on a farm across the road from the only airfield in Polk County, MO and it doesn't look anything like what is in the show. And there aren't any private ones that could handle a private jet. But they are spot-on in most parts. I worked for a summer at Osage Beach and the show's portrayal of the locals is pretty good.1 point

This is all so dumb to even be talking about. By this point in time those who want the shots have gotten them and those who don't want them won't be getting them. No one is going to change anyone's mind now, not some guy on Fox News, CNN or BPer forums. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk1 point

Okay, as BA suggested, let's all just move along. When reading anything on the Internet, just remember this famous quote from Abraham Lincoln: "Don't believe everything you read online"1 point

You are completely leaving out the obvious fact of catch and recovered unvaccinated. Their long term protection is the same as the vaccinated. Every unvaccinated person will gain natural protection upon recovery. Yes you may catch it again and again but your symptoms will be milder and odds of hospitalization will be vastly lessened. The unvaccinated will become the vaccinated naturally and very quickly.0 points
