  1. PXL_20220215_034310650.LS_2.mp4 I made this goofy spin art rig. I first built it with an M motor and then yoinked one of the L motors out of the Stunt racer and added more gearing. In the tradition of Tim the Toolman Taylor I grunted and then added the second L motor and got it going really fast. I gave it a bit of an enclosure and made a new lighter turntable from foamcore. I clocked it at about 1000 rpm with a strobe tachometer app on my phone. Going to set it up with a splatter box and drop a bit of paint on it with my daughter tomorrow.

  4. I haven't cared what anyone outside of my loved ones decide since the beginning. I've tried to persuade my friends and family to get the shot. I've never been a fan of mandates, especially for any time after the original strain. They haven't made sense as far as getting the virus or giving it. There's been evidence that a vaccinated person sheds less for a smaller amount of time, but I don't feel that's warranted any mandates. My one issue is people saying, 'sure, people have died that didn't get the shot, but so have the vaccinated.' This doesn't begin to paint a clear picture of the numbers. The chances of anyone dying from Covid is relatively small, but the death rate of an unvaccinated person is 97 times worse than that of a fully vaccinated person. 97 times. The chances of dying from parachuting is roughly 7 times less than dying from Covid if testing positive. But I guarantee you which parachute a jumper would choose if you told them they're chances of dying are 97 times more likely by using one versus the other.

  5. I don't care what anyone else does medically. At this point with Covid, neither should anyone else. If you want shots, get them. There have been plenty of people who have died after not getting them, and plenty of people who have died after getting them. But, I'm probably not posting about someone dying from their choice.

  8. Yes it started when stores received stock , which a lot got on Weds. Not online from what I was told. Seems they are doing weird old GWP's randomly. LL has a few coming March 3rd as well, sounded like rehashed ones there too. The ice skating rink is pretty large , 1000+ per store , be done in a few waves with early waves in the 300-400 range.

  10. Not seeking at all....just living my life according to my principles. I am not going to wrap my self in bubble wrap and stay in my home because of what might possibly happen. Life is short.....do the best you can and live it. You could be driving home doing everything right, going the speed limit on an empty major highway and a drunk driver going the wrong way creams you at 80+ in an F-150 and you never even see it coming. There are no guarantees in life no matter what insurance and warranties tell you. BTW if he had been 4 inches to his left I wouldn't be here.....

  11. We all have choices to make.....and this world is soon going to demand a lot more difficult decisions from us all. And maybe we should focus on our own decisions and not those of other souls. By all known data the shots are safe and effective and I will never speak ill of anyone who receives them or whatever other safety measures they deem fit. I, however, can identify with the guy. I have religious objections to the mRNA technology being used. Therefore after much deliberation, I decided against them. I almost lost my job and a looming pension because of it. I hold my morals, faith and principles as far more important than my life. If I come up snake eyes and die for my decisions then so be it. I accept the consequences of every decision and action I make. And I expect no sympathy in any case. At the end of the day I can look myself in the mirror without shame or regret. Be at peace with death.......it will find us all eventually....

  12. I would have him flip through every page of the instructions, I've had them in the beginning couple of pages that everyone skips. If you believe him and want to try and solve his problem, I would try to get him to call Lego and as that will be the easiest solution. If they don't have any, then you can do the Brick Link thing, but depending on the seller, that could take awhile. The quicker option would be to crack your last set and send him the stickers out of there and replace them the next time you place a Brick Link order, or try to order them from Lego yourself and sell the last set as open box sealed bags.

  15. This is all so dumb to even be talking about. By this point in time those who want the shots have gotten them and those who don't want them won't be getting them. No one is going to change anyone's mind now, not some guy on Fox News, CNN or BPer forums. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

  17. Omicron. Milder and less lethal for most, but far more infectious than Delta. Older, immune compromised and unvaccinated are at high risk for severe disease. More pediatric covid hospitalizations for Omicron than with Delta because more folks getting sick with it. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/health/omicron-has-caused-higher-increase-in-u-s-daily-death-count-than-delta-variant

  18. I like the original version better, where you also use the colloquial version of "we" right after chastising me for using it. I never heard of this guy before you posted so I have no idea the context of the "news" reports. If the story focused on him for not getting vaccinated that's one point of view, but if it was because he stood up against his employer for making him do something he didn't want to and losing his job in the process, that's a different angle. You seem to see it as the first point, which is why it is being inferred that you are dancing on his grave.

  19. I'm not sure anyone "had to listen" if they didn't want to. I had no idea his stance, who he was, or that it was even a thing. It apparently bothered you much more than it bothered me. As far as having a right to know, that's strange. We have a right to free speech, a right to unlawful search and seizure, rights to lots of things. I have just never heard of "right to know someone died after being intubated from Covid complications". Again, I know the data very well. I don't need to look it up. But, anything other than data, certainly has a spin to it.

  20. I think they are just pointing out the hypocrisy in your comments. In one thread you bash another user for making "rape jokes". Then in this one you objectify a woman based off her appearance. Better work a little harder on keeping your stories straight. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

  23. Compared to the adrenaline junkies I work with, I am very cautious. The point I was trying to make is that it is up to everyone what their personal threshold for safety is and that even if you do everything "right" you still might end up that way. I am a perfectly healthy 35 year old with no pre-existing conditions. My chances of death from covid are tiny! I still weighed the pros and cons and contrasted it with my religious faith and choose not to get the shot. I consciously accepted that risk.....and I am well aware I took a somewhat increased risk. Point is its up to the individual. If you want to be an idiot and not wear a seatbelt go for it. I wear mine, but I support the rights of others to choose not to. Because as an autocross and sports car enthusiast I understand the protection it provides and not wearing one is outside my safety zone.

  24. It already has. But antibodies are just one component of immunity. Its also, more importantly, T and B cell recognition. T-cell protection will end up being the long term weapon against serious harm. Over the past two years, Covid19 has followed a predictable path for what we expect from virus mutations. Something I've been saying the entire time with loads of pushback on line and in real life. I think many refused to accept normal viral patterns as a templet for prediction and clung to this crazy idea that mutation=bad, even when viral precedent tells us otherwise. We were never going to vaccinate the world. An impossible task. And predictably, a very contagious, milder, vaccine evading version would emerge and infect the globe. This path was almost a certainty. An obvious outcome to anyone who uses their own brain instead of the media to guide them.

  26. That's what I'm seeing as well. Damn near my entire extended family has tested positive in the past couple of months. A few of them lost taste/smell. None required a hospital trip. Hopefully, this Omicron variant is what we needed to get Corona antibodies present in most of the population.

  27. Yes. One week's worth of data; the latest data set they have. Here's the previous few weeks to give more context. Numbers are death rate calculated by deaths of unvaccinated divided by unvaccinated population vs deaths of vaccinated divided by vaccinated population. Both per 100,000 people. 11/27: 8.13 vs .15 (54x) 11/20: 8.91 vs .10 (89x) 11/13: 7.95 vs .07 (113x) 11/6: 7.25 vs .15 (48.3) 10/30: 6.81 vs .13 (52x) These aren't outliers. Every week is like this. The numbers are glaring.

  33. DEMANDING!!!!!!!!!! I just know (anecdotally) that of the people I know who have passed away from Covid in the last six months, it's all been Delta. Of the people I know with confirmed Omicron, it's been bad flu-like syptoms for those unvaccinated and sniffles for those that have been. Omicron doesn't affect the lungs as much, or at least what I've read. I was wondering if it was the case nationwide. It makes sense there are more fatalities nationwide but a much smaller fatality rate.

  35. I understand the numbers, risks and odds. That's why I have made my particular choice. I'm just not going to seemingly gloat by posting an example of someone dying because of their choice. Even by adding the word "sadly", to make it appear some other point is being made.

  40. It seems more probable that a set could ship with missing sticker sheet than missing parts (And of course occasionally there are missing parts). Sticker sheet most likely wouldn't affect weight of set (if LEGO group checks weight to ensure sets are complete 🤷‍♂️) Nice of Pseudoty to check if stickers are in bag with instructions or loose and check Bricklink. I would imagine only the slightest of errors in factory could result in missing stickers... edge flipped or creased could result in sticking to next sticker sheet etc.. My intuition is that the buyer is being honest. Missing sticker sheet isnt the usual scam. Still I would do as other mentioned... ask buyer to double check booklet Best of luck

  41. Curious if LEGO group would/could send you replacement stickers? Or send to the buyer address directly Also another option would be to search bricklink for the stickers and have them shipped to buyer. Not sure how expensive those stickers would be
