  1. Considering he'll apparently get away without repercussions, it's the least I can do to spare a few other sellers: ID: lekto_56

  2. Hi folks, I'm curious if anyone else here has their own website for selling? We set up our own online store last year after deciding to put a bit more energy into the business, and it's been a really interesting ride. I'm naturally interested in web development and marketing etc, so my thinking had been it was a worthwhile investment in my own learning if nothing else, though I was confident it would be worthwhile from a business perspective too. Obviously we've gone from spending money on fees to spending it on advertising and marketing, but it's been fairly worthwhile so far - at least in our local experience in New Zealand. Would love to know if others have also been on this journey, and how you've found it. I'm sure there's lots of wisdom to be learnt from each other!

  3. When this reaches the $70 range, I expect West End Toys to list 20,000 of them for $44.99.

  8. Finished this the other day. Had to document before it gets torn apart. It had it's challenges but overall just took around 7 days just periodically assembling and with a work trip in between. The Minifigure head one is probably much harder if the size is the same. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk

  10. Ouch! 😭 Sometimes my buyers initiate the return themselves. Other times they message me asking for a return and start the return process for them. Guess in the future I'll instruct them to begin the return process themselves just in case. Paying both shipping to customer AND returning to seller stings even more 😭 I do NOT refund their shipping cost. Only refund the purchase and pay for return shipping. If I'm at fault I would make an exception and pay both shipping fees. Thanks for sharing and I wish I had info to help. Hopefully others will

  11. $0.00 Market Cap? I'm sorry, and this is definitely NOT jealousy talking, but it sure looks like a pump-and-dump to me. Be careful. And I sincerely hope that I'm wrong.

  12. That f@cking blows! I'm so sorry that happened to you. I hate them @ssholes! I don't know how the admins feel about it, but I say post their eBay user id here so we can all add him to our blocked buyer list.

  14. Yeah you're right that integration is key if you're multi-platform. Although we're now doing 90%+ of our volume through our own site now, it does hook in to Facebook and our NZ auction site (much better than ebay thankfully). Thank goodneess I'm passed the days of using excel for inventory, that got pretty dodgy after a while! There are good integrations for shopify/ebay, but I didn't look into them since that's not my market. There's also the requirement of having a critical mass / range of stock for people to take your store seriously. But once you reach that point, it seems worthwhile. From my experience, offering click and collect and having reviews across google / facebook etc certainly helps build brand trust.

  16. I was so fortunate and happened to liquidate most of my crypto holdings a few days before the crash to move them to a new crypto project- $drip, and it weathered the storm really well. The creator is a mad genius type who designed the coin to address the reasons coins crash. I think it actually benefitted from the crash because people were selling off coins and putting money into this. It was way more research than I’ve ever put into a coin, and to buy it you have to jump through some hoops, but it’s done ridiculously well the past few weeks.

  18. Value is lost at this particular moment in time. The same goes for slots or sports betting at Vegas. But, there is no real loss until the investment timing period is up.

  19. Yep! Same here! You don't lose money until you sell! This kind of thing happens multiple times every year. Everytime all the skeptics come out of the woodwork and start claiming the sky is falling again. Happens every time. Best thing to know is to tune those folks out and just ride it out like always!

  20. Yeah the only on paper thing is key.......if you don't sell you, you don't lose any money. I found myself counting my unsold gains as $$$$ back when the market was way up, but since I never sold, I didn't make them. So, now that the markets down, I have to view my unsold losses as only paper losses, since they are unrealized and never will be realized any time soon.

  28. Probably not the best thread for this… but I do have it as part of my personal collection. The build experience is painful but it looks great on the wall. If I had to choose between this and Lamborghini sian I would choose the Lamborghini 10 times over for the build. But for display these are some of the coolest sets ever. To keep on topic they are probably retiring and will be average investments imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  29. the whole series should be re-titled: Boba Fett While in the Bactic Tank considering how iconic Boba Fett in Armor is...this series has way too many scenes in his underwear

  30. 8 episodes just isn't enough to do the plot scope justice and fill in all the back story should have carried over the Mando model; and make each episode its own adventure IDK..all the flashbacks are getting a bit tedious. Would have been better to just show the entire series backwards like in Momento

  31. But we needed those episodes to explain the bond between Fett and the Tuskens. When Fett goes to war with the Pykes, and the other families abandon Fett, it will be the Tuskens who ride in to save the day.

  33. I had a buyer in NJ buy a 70912 LBM Arkham Asylum. Few weeks later, a return request, something to the effect of "bought as a gift for a friend, wants something else." Free returns, so $32 + $32 shipping both ways. Received the item, inspected seals, shook it, looked & sounded fine. Stuck in closet for the time being. Month goes by and another seller contacts me about my experience with this buyer. Turns out his return was filled with cardboard, so now I open mine. All the minifigures were removed and random pieces of cardboard were inside the box. The seals looked perfect (assuming might've unglued seam of box) and the other pieces are there, so shaking sounded normal. Chatted with eBay and because I initiated the refund and not them, there's apparently no appeal for reimbursement. Refunded $300, ate $64 in shipping and have a minifigure-less open set. Not sure what I can do to recoup anything at this point. poopsenders.com looks awfully tempting right now.

  35. And because there were rumors of cancelation, we all hoarded the set like crazy last February. Lego responded by complete overproduction of the AT-ST and that minifigure.

  36. We were bamboozled on this one. LEGO upped the production 10 fold instead of clearing out the set .

  37. Maybe you guys remember from November I listed some Jurassic World sets incorrectly and a buyer immediately bought them all up before they were even received at Amazon's warehouse to sell. It ended up being a $1500 error on my part. I contacted support to cancel the order (we've all seen it done) and was told they no longer do that. Well, fast forward to today and I made a purchase at a great price today and promptly received this from amazon.
