Man, Time marches on. 8 months since the last post. I’m going to focus on the happy fact that it doesn’t look exactly the same. As opposed to focusing on the unhappy fact that it’s not as far along as I would like! Here’s where we sit today. Next step is to build the plywood riser for the back portion that the trains run under. Cross your fingers on that happening next week!5 points

What other hobbies do people have? I love cars, just sold a 1978 Pontiac Trans am and picked up a 2002 Trans Am.4 points

It’s an IKEA Meltorp. 29.5 wide, 49.25 long, 29.125 tall. They also sell a square version. 29.5 W and L. I have six for our Lego city. Just a smidge small for an even number of base plates, but since they’re all on Mils plates it’s cool. Cheap too And while we’re on the subject of things I like for building Lego, this little number is the sweetest. Almost makes dusting fun2 points

I am trying to get back into drawing again (again). I became burnt and exhausted some years ago. Nothing professional, just something I always liked to do for myself really since I was little. Perhaps some figure studies. I don't know. Meanwhile I have gotten myself back into a routine of personal fitness if that could be considered a hobby. Down about eight pounds at least even though I already am around my targeted weight for height. Been feeling better about myself with more energy. And eating substantially less as well but more thirsty instead. Maybe not quite healthier eating though. Ha. That blue is freakin' sweet. Great ride of course but damn.2 points

I had a black 1978 Camaro in high school. After that I got a 1983 RX-7. Fun little car. I bought my brother in law's 1986 Tran Am after that. I'd love to find a '86 GSL-SE in nice shape.2 points

My friend had one in high school 1989 or so. We would ride around and pick drag races almost every day at lunch. I always loved those too.2 points

i’m a very skilled builder, with a full professional shop, (I welded up a custom build table for Pete’s sake) and after many iterations this was the highest quality/cheapest solution. The tables are very sturdy. I considered putting a piece of half-inch MDF on the top to fix the “little bit too short“ problem, but it was unnecessary.1 point

no hurry; will be available for another year or two current aftermarket prices are down 15-20% off RRP will it do well post retirement? reasons yes: iconic star wars, unlikely to be remade AGAIN for at least some time reason no: no exclusive MF, for a $200 investment...can probably do a lot better. it's a large box so storage and shipping will be a hassle look at past 2012 version where RRP of $150 it hit max of $350-400; pretty good1 point

Went to Walmart and they have the new Batman sets priced 20% off on the shelf as was previously posted by another member. They scanned full price with scan and go and at the register so I left them. Didn’t feel like it was worth dealing with a Walmart human.1 point
