  1. RIP Magawa Magawa, the famous mine-clearing rat who was awarded a gold medal for his heroism, has died at the age of eight. In a five-year career, the rodent sniffed out over 100 landmines and other explosives in Cambodia. The African giant pouch rat "passed away peacefully". It said Magawa was in good health and "spent most of last week playing with his usual enthusiasm". But by the weekend "he started to slow down, napping more and showing less interest in food in his last days".

  4. Sad, just a few months after his best friend, Norm Macdonald (RIP). His eulogy for Norm was heartbreaking. It is somewhere on Youtube. Little known fact (or is it widely known?), his potrayal of calm mannered Danny Tanner on Full House was complete 180 from his stand ups. I listened to 1 of his specials a while back and it was filthy AF.

  5. I'd like to start a movement that we start calling people like Harvey, a raper. Rapist is too closely related to distinguished words like Artist, Scientist, Psychologist, Dentist, Phlebotomist, Ophthalmologist, etc.. It should be more closely related to words like murderer, killer, abuser, cheater, etc. I will be using the term Raper from now on to help the movement. Harvey is nothing but a sicko raper. 💩

  8. 21226 Art Project I built this with my daughter twice. Once for the 3x3 art design and once for the classic spaceman. I wanted and kept the spaceman and she kept hers with the 3x3 art. Started with the 3x3 art, this was one of her Christmas presents. She'd loved making art patterns when she was aged 4-6 with 1x1s of all varieties so now as she is going on age 9 I thought she'd really love this art project and she did. It was fun enough I found a 2nd one at Target locally next to the Lego clothes in the clothes section. So glad it can be built little by little, I thought this project would drive me nuts. But I was able to commit to one panel at a time for like 15-20 mins per panel and stage it out when I felt like it and no rush. NOT interested in the World Map! Ha, after two of these I think I'm done placing 1x1 tiles for a while. Edit: Okay kind if interested in the World Map but wow it goes from 3x3 panels in this project to 5x8 panels in the World Map. That's 31 additional panels!

  12. Wow he's confused why I will not let him ship the label to me and I will have 0 costs on my end. He also said its for him and his son to build, so I do not have to worry about packaging it really well. I think I am more upset by that statement. See, I am a box snob and take great pride in my packing. LOL He's blocked now, so hopefully it's over. With over 3000 feedback I expected more understanding from a buyer. Thanks all! You just confirmed what my spidey senses were telling me. Run.. Run

  13. MarleyMoose and Junkrigger That is what I am afraid of - the shipping label will not protect me. Just cause more headaches. I don't need him to buy this. He just made a higher offer - which I declined saying that we needed to work through his request to send me a shipping label. He responded he is confused because I won't have any shipping fees so he is not sure why I will not accept his offer. Seriously, he wants to pay a lot more in shipping but will not pay an additional $10 (now thats the difference) to just buy at the BIN price. Nothing makes sense. So I have blocked and he can buy it from someone else. We aren't the only one of these out there.

  15. Weird that some people are seeing coins/case available to them when they got them in the first round. I missed the gold coin and holder and they were the only ones available for me to redeem this morning. I refreshed the page afterwards and everything is grayed out. Working like it's supposed to for me. Now to figure what to friggin buy in the next 60 days to get them.

  21. I found most of the pieces of the 2006 version of the Slave I (set 6209) in a bulk lot I got for free from a neighbor years ago (paid them $50 anyway and have more than recouped my money on selling parts of it) and bought the few missing pieces from BrickLink. My quest to complete this started with finding the trans-black windscreen. This one is a keeper! Only the Boba Fett minifigure and the Han Solo in Carbonite brick are original, and the rest are from advent calendars or random buys over the years. This set of is larger than I thought and was a fun build. I am glad I had the instruction book since building it from a PDF is near impossible since it hard to differentiate the colors. It was interesting not having each part on each page identified like it is now for each section of the build. Lego has made us lazy, I guess. LOL! I will be interesting to see the size difference between the UCS version once I build it and this one. The wings do rotate automatically as the ship flies.

  22. I was active for a long time on Brickset, and that was where I used to get my deals fix. It eventually got to the point that whenever a deal was posted...it was immediately followed up with a "Sold Out. Those bas**rd pickers (sic) over there bought the lot!"

  27. Probably not worth it to get all of them but if you are missing 1-3 to make a set then it's worth it.
