21226 Art Project I built this with my daughter twice. Once for the 3x3 art design and once for the classic spaceman. I wanted and kept the spaceman and she kept hers with the 3x3 art. Started with the 3x3 art, this was one of her Christmas presents. She'd loved making art patterns when she was aged 4-6 with 1x1s of all varieties so now as she is going on age 9 I thought she'd really love this art project and she did. It was fun enough I found a 2nd one at Target locally next to the Lego clothes in the clothes section. So glad it can be built little by little, I thought this project would drive me nuts. But I was able to commit to one panel at a time for like 15-20 mins per panel and stage it out when I felt like it and no rush. NOT interested in the World Map! Ha, after two of these I think I'm done placing 1x1 tiles for a while. Edit: Okay kind if interested in the World Map but wow it goes from 3x3 panels in this project to 5x8 panels in the World Map. That's 31 additional panels!8 points

Saw a lone Marvel Advent at Costco today (1/9!) sitting among The Child & Marvel Eternals sets. No price until it rang up at the register. $7.97. Uhh...yes please.6 points

Just finished listening to Ronan Farrow’s 7 episode Podcast “Catch and Kill” that goes into his reporting on Harvey Weinstein My complaint is Harvey. He is filthy. He is a disgusting human being. 80+ woman came forward to detail the assaults and rapes committed against them. He is vile and my anxiety shot through the roof just listening to it. It’s a fantastic podcast. But Harvey himself can just die.4 points

I thought the Mandalorian, Wanda Vision, and Loki were all brilliant character dramas and would say we’ve been pretty spoiled by Disney thus far in that regard. BoBF doesn’t feel like any of these at this point, largely because we already have an orphaned bounty hunter searching for meaning in his life—Mando’s story was Fett’s. I think it’s going to get more interesting soon. It’s bound too. I actually think this might be the ultimate troll play—they know we aren’t going to stop watching so I guess we enjoy the ride. I found most of the pieces of the 2006 version of the Slave I (set 6209) in a bulk lot I got for free from a neighbor years ago (paid them $50 anyway and have more than recouped my money on selling parts of it) and bought the few missing pieces from BrickLink. My quest to complete this started with finding the trans-black windscreen. This one is a keeper! Only the Boba Fett minifigure and the Han Solo in Carbonite brick are original, and the rest are from advent calendars or random buys over the years. This set of is larger than I thought and was a fun build. I am glad I had the instruction book since building it from a PDF is near impossible since it hard to differentiate the colors. It was interesting not having each part on each page identified like it is now for each section of the build. Lego has made us lazy, I guess. LOL! I will be interesting to see the size difference between the UCS version once I build it and this one. The wings do rotate automatically as the ship flies.4 points

I mean couldn't they just point him to the tree...it's probably the ONLY tree for hundreds of miles3 points

Yeah! Book of Boba Fett is ruining Boba's legacy! He was amazing in Empire when he stood behind Darth Vader. Was legendary when he shot at and missed Luke. Remember that time He flew away? Then ROTJ! He was never cooler than when... he was accidently smacked by Han and fell into a hole/pit and died.3 points

Just FYI, if you want to purchase the Year of the Tiger GWP outright for $10 instead of spending $85, Zavvi is selling it as a pre-order, release date is Jan 28 (no limit?) https://us.zavvi.com/toys-lego/lego-year-of-the-tiger-40491/13504436.html2 points

Yeah, the lizard up the nose into the brain gave me hitchhikers guide to the galaxy flashbacks. The ear seems like it would be less unpleasant.2 points

Lunar new year gwp is now available with $85 spending. Not that exciting but something if you want to get the new CNY sets, which are also live. Also Monkie kid poly with $40 on Ninjago/Monkie kid. I was hoping they'd restock some Ninjago for my son's birthday but nothing back in stock.2 points

As long as this series makes creepy looking bald guys look more cool, I will be very happy.1 point

So I take it that slow burn/build the character dramas are NOT popular with this crowd....lol1 point

via TheBrickFan: "This second opportunity will only be available to VIP members who didn’t get any of the particular coins or coin holder which allow more people to get them. LEGO did state that if demand is low, they may open it up for VIPs to get a second coin."1 point

I just got email saying my order was getting ready to be processed and to be sure credit card is up to date.1 point

Just received this: Here's a quick update on your BrickLink Designer Program order. Orders to the United States and Canada will begin shipping at the end of January and those going to Australia and New Zealand will start shipping at the end of February. Due to ongoing global shipping delays, your order may take longer than normal to arrive after it’s been shipped. We also want to let you know that your card will be charged when we start getting your order ready to ship. You’ll need to make sure you have funds available and the card is still valid before then.1 point

Yeah it's for a destiny's bounty. going to do what most people do on this forum.. if zero or little feedback, msg them. and if shady address, cancel. i guess that's an ebay loophole. Someone doing scams out of a florida hotel room. Since I know the room of Hab214... not sure how I can prevent others from being scammed.1 point

I did a handful of local pickup orders on bl, basically you just knock off the shipping, everything else stays the same. Transaction gets registered on bl, buyer paid via pp, and bl collects tax. Then, you can message buyer for the meetup location, no difference than selling / buying on FB/OU/CL1 point

Thought you might enjoy this video. You can tell she's really struggling to open the bag lol. I would suggest living vicariously through her. Thank God I have Jang in my life. Side note: I'm a hardcore collector and have never opened a LEGO. I know the struggle. It happens when I get home from work and take a side glance at one of those beautiful unopened boxes, then I immediately run to the bathroom, douse my face with cold water while simultaneously slapping it and yelling "Pull Yourself Together Man!" at the top of my lungs. I'll have a glass of wine after that and be all good. Everything remains sealed.1 point

That was pretty glaring to me too. The only thing I could figure is the mention of multiple tribes, and the young Tuskin was sent to signal, he was signaling other tribes. I guess?1 point

So who can clarify how Boba stole 4 speeder bikes, but then the Tusken Raider attack on the train proceeds with 5 bikes? And why, when the train battle takes minutes with the train progressively picking up speed, the remaining raiders can just run down from a sand dune to the crashed train? I had no issues with this episodes, but those things stood out as obvious script mistakes. That and the fact that the raiders could suddenly shoot into the moving train and take out attackers where previously they were basically cannon fodder. But that can be explained away using the Storm Trooper logic.1 point

Finished the 21057 Singapore build. Nice colorful build but would have preferred a larger set but that’s not the point of the Architecture Skyline series.1 point
