If the intent is to make Boba a hero type character, then they will effectively ruin him. They need to let him hold on to a bit of villany in him and let him disintegrate someone.4 points

I was at lego house in 2019 and a danish collector who supposedly has every star wars minifigure had his collection on display, one of which was the solid gold c3-po of which there are only 5 (+2 for execs) in existence. I read about this dude who is willing to spend a 6 figure sum to get this in his collection but has no luck securing one... That has got to be the holy grail of all sw minifigs. I'm patiently waiting for my finch dallow fig to hit 1k. 😛1 point

I still have mine, I have thought about selling it but I just cant pull the trigger. It is awesome looking (at least what I've seen in pictures, I'm not opening mine)! I was just informed there are two versions of it. I was told there is a light and dark version of it. two different Prints of the Lego Star Wars Chrome Gold C-3PO minifigure exist. I had never noticed this before, but as soon as he sent me a picture and an explanation, I was able to verify that multiple versions do appear to exist. The reader Bryan Kan is a very well known Lego Star Wars collector in Australia and he was able to provide a picture of both figures side by side so that it was clear and apparant what the differences are. “To my knowledge the one on the left is the European/Australian version while the one on the right was from US/Canada. The white polybags are identical.” From my research tonight on google and in my past saved pictures, it does appears that the European version is the darker one. It is also apparent from every picture that I can find of the 1/100 limited carded prize that was awarded in Australia is also of the darker variety.1 point

New set isn’t worth MSRP. Wait until a -20% sale if not in a hurry. Regarding the Marina Bay Sands part of the build… The original set is bigger and better build. Granted, the newer set looks better with the extra colors, foliage and buildings around it. Maybe LEGO will do a proper refresh of MBS in a future set. note: pics below are missing one 4 by 4 circle plate / element on the older set. i forgot it in the box.1 point

Yeah he did! Although, I think he would use the "acted in self-defense" loophole in court for that one. I just want to see him go full "I know how to bounty hunt" Boba versus "I'm a friend of the people" Boba. **spoilers** I won't count the middle of no where bar scene with the biker gang fight as the Boba I want...but getting there.1 point

I do agree it feels off for the legacy of Boba Fett, so I do hope they go down the darker path as his conflicts become more prevalent for the rest of the series.1 point

Yeah, he blew someone up with a rocket in self defense. That’s a far cry from his rep in canon and even more so than how Mando was introduced letting his quarry be sliced in half as he pulled him in a doorway. It just feels off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I'm really enjoying BoBF so far, especially the 2nd episode. I haven't read into it too much. Just the right level of nostalgia, some silliness, and a fun look into mob life on Tatooine. Yes, not everyone is going to like the Tusken Raider subplot and revisionist history, but it's been fun for me so far.1 point

I've really tried to get into the first two episodes but am not really feeling the series thus far. Too many flashbacks and I get that since this is a Disney product now that they have to change Fett from a ruthless bounty hunter into something more palatable, but a "respectable" crime lord who isn't ruthless and freedom fighter seems a bit much. I think what worked so well with Fett's original characterization that survived into Mando in the new series was that it fundamentally fit with a certain brutality within the SW universe that was always in the background--slaves and slavery. But that part of the SW universe has been unchanged so it's challenging to see Fett as a hero or antihero or the Sand People as oppressed freedom fighters fighting spice slavers when they themselves take slaves and brutalize them. When you think about Anakin's character becoming Vadar, a major plot point is because he was obsessed with loss because the Jedi won his freedom in the bet with Watto, but not his mother's freedom. Watto lost his money in the bet and sold his mother to regain some of what he lost and later Anakin finds that his mother has then been taken by Sand People as a slave again. Maybe I'm just lost down a rabbit hole, but it seems really odd to me that Disney took the time to change the name of Fett's ship from Slave 1 and used the concept of droids being slaves as semi comic relief in Solo and not explore the issue more seriously.1 point

I have been a bit confused about the various tests out there and I found this vid helpful: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/covid-test-pcr-antigen-results/ Basically Although PCR test is much more accurate than Antigen test (Home test kits); but to answer the question: "Am I contagious" the Antigen home kits are the test to do. The issue with PCR test is that they can show positive for CV up to weeks after a person has been well past their contagious stage. Also the boldness or brightness of the line indicating positive on an antigen test is directly related to the amount of replicating virus; so a faint line may indicate the person just got exposure and will get worse or if the person is on the tail end of their infection...cannot know; and why a 2nd test 24-48 hrs later is needed to verify. I believe most home kits have two tests per box. As always the above is just a single source for information; I would ofcourse appreciate other viewpoints so we can have a fruitful discussion.1 point

It was, saw it later on SD. Seems hit or miss if you'd had similar offers in the past. Ironically I got the notice hours after I cancelled my account and the day my subscription expired.1 point

Well, I've never seen this before, but I may be late. You can see all the past VIP Winners and the gifts won. Kinda cool and it will also help track the provenance and authenticity. If one of us eventually wins (ha) this could help with the resell value. 2 ways to get there: 1. From the main account page https://www.lego.com/en-us/vip/rewards-center > scroll to the bottom and click the "Past Winners" icon 2. Use this link to go directly to the page https://www.lego.com/en-us/vip/rewards-center/vip-past-winners1 point

So I'm on quarantine. Got covid from a vaccinated employee (I'm vaxed and boosted). Feel fine. Just very minor cold symptoms. I'm locked in my guest attic suite. Here was my weekend (built it in 2 days) covid project I picked up used for $150 before christmas. Needed to build to confirm all pieces are accounted for. Only missing 4 pieces. Not too bad considering the set was owned by a family with kids.1 point
