I had a Covid Xmas, currently relying on an oxygen machine or else my blood oxygen % drops to 75-80 fast. My common colds turn to lung infections, so I should've seen this "covid pneumonia" coming and it's probably not typical for the 99% that recover. I kinda wish this thread would get locked as I'm fighting to post in it constantly (and now caved). Also, I like and respect people so much more the less I know about them, and this is showing a lot of people's ugly sides. Understandably so, I can't think of anything that's been so divisive, especially between friends and family we all thought we knew so well. There's so many variables in this, it's hard to have one direct argument. Religion plays a factor for many, trust in science/doctors, having/lacking common sense. For instance, if you believe that masks are a false sense of security, than a picture of Fauci with a mask down shouldn't really matter because it's not doing much anyway. The problem in those pictures is the constant lack of "practice what you preach" (Fauci, Newsom, Pelosi, etc), not the science or environmental variables in the scene. These debates don't work well when one is focused on science and the other is focused on principles. BioNTech CEO stated triple-vaccinated will still spread omicron and isn't enough. You can do your hardest to play along, get your shots, get your boosters, show your proof, and then enter a stadium or some place and are still told to wear a mask. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I know we're all struggling with this, but let's stick together people. It's the best community out there.11 points

No, the moment you stake you get the benefits. Day 1. The 180 days is the amount of time your staked tokens are frozen. Once that six month period expires you can unstake and do as you please. You can always keep them staked to continue the card benefits. I pulled the trigger on this company and their product because of the advertising and all their regulatory and security moves. Plus Crypto.com buying the naming rights to the Staples center for 20 years gave me enough confidence they are not going anywhere and its not some fly by night scam. I purchased about 2200$ worth incrementally during the big run up, not really thinking much of the card. I only bought into the token because I was using the app and CRO was rising fast. Well, it ran up enough where my tokens reached the 4000$ value. I'd been looking into the card and decided to jump in. I clicked a button and staked my 4k worth of tokens for 180 days. Within one hour of staking I had a virtual debit card(still waiting for the physical version) which I can top off with my bank card or bank transfer. It's really easy. Then, as I use it for payments, I get instant 3% dollars back in CRO. I've used it a lot of the holidays and accumulated a lot of free CRO. Plus every Monday I get my 10% apr payment in CRO(about 10.8 CRO a week). Lastly I linked my Spotify and Netflix payments to the debit card. I'm refunded those amounts instantly in CRO. Basically 26$ a month in CRO for those subscriptions. One last perk is you get free airport lounge access. I don't travel so this means nothing to me. Hope this helps.2 points

No word on piece count or cost, here is the official press release: LEGO IDEAS® ANNOUNCES A SUPERSONIC FAN DESIGN CREATION: SONIC MANIA™ GREEN HILL ZONE 4th February 2021: LEGO Ideas® today announced they will be bringing SEGA’s® legendary speedster, Sonic the Hedgehog™, to brick form, thanks to a concept design submitted by 24 year-old, UK based, LEGO® superfan Viv Grannell. Viv, also a passionate Sonic fan, created her design as a submission to the LEGO Ideas® platform, a LEGO initiative that takes new ideas that have been imagined and voted for by fans and turns them into reality. Viv’s design was inspired by SEGA’s critically acclaimed 2017 platformer experience Sonic Mania™, and features iconic characters and environments from the game’s Green Hill Zone level. Once the design was completed, it achieved the prerequisite 10,000 votes from LEGO fans worldwide – before being greenlit to go into production by the LEGO Group. Talking about the winning idea, Viv Grannell said; “I’ve been invested in the world of Sonic for almost my entire life, and it’s such a perfect fit for the LEGO system that I spent about a year rallying support for it to happen. Having 10,000 people back my design was overwhelming enough, even with friends and family behind me, but having it be selected for further development was the most exciting secret I have ever had to keep!” The Sonic Mania Green Hill Zone LEGO Ideas® design will now go into the product development phase, in partnership with SEGA® and once finalised will be available worldwide. Talking about the collaboration, Jason Rice, Director of Brand Licensing, SEGA® Europe Ltd, said; “At SEGA, we’ve always encouraged fans to take part in the legacy of the Sonic franchise through their own creations and it’s wonderful to see the tradition continued through the LEGO Ideas® program. We’re thrilled to partner with Viv and the LEGO Group, and hope to inspire fans to continue creating their own unique Sonic the Hedgehog™ experiences for generations to come.” The Sonic Mania Green Hill Zone LEGO Ideas® design is the ultimate embodiment of Sonic the Hedgehog’s™ past and future as the franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary this June. Featuring a wide variety of elements inspired by Classic Sonic, the set will provide LEGO collectors and Sonic fans alike a truly supersonic LEGO experience.1 point

Honey Gold has 15% on a number of sets on SAH, good luck finding any in stock however... speaking of, what's the deal with so many sets being out of stock for so long. Is it due to supply issues, I don't recall it being this dry on SAH last year but I may just have short term memory loss...1 point

So, buy $4k worth of CRO, stake it for 180 days, then you are eligible? And it’s just a debit card that pays you 3%, plus you get 10% staking on the $4k of CRO? Did I miss anything? So… do you just fund it regularly through your stuffy old bank? I sure as hell aM not transferring a large sum to these young upstarts!!! “Fool me once! Fool me can’t get fooled again!”1 point

That's about as much of a narrow-minded attitude of any bigot anywhere. Just curious, and I mean this as no insult, but how old are you? I'm guessing under 30, a product of the agenda-driven conditioning of our public schools. Again, no insult intended but, the young always know what is right for everyone. They have every answer to fix the world's ills. And frankly, pretty insulting when suggesting it with their air of superiority. Please, what is your age? As stated earlier, I'm 60.1 point

What is wrong with what Fauci is doing here (apart from wearing a cloth facemask, those should not be allowed anymore as they were really just a stopgap solution when proper masks were not available)? - He is with people he knows, distanced from strangers - He is fully vaccinated, and based on the fact that he has lowered his mask, his companions are most likely vaccinated too and he knows that. - Even though he and his companions are fully vaccinated, they still wear masks for when they are around others (either larger groups or potentially unvaccinated people). - This is an outdoor situation, not a small enclosed space The big problem is not Fauci relaxing his mask under these circumstances, the problem is the scores of people who, as soon as mask wearing became "optional but recommended" for fully vaccinated people, took to not wearing masks in public and going to gatherings even though they were not (fully) vaccinated. I'm sure that covers 30-40% of the people you meet out in stores, at least in my neck of the woods.1 point

If that’s so wrong, then i don’t want to be right. this may hurt your eyes but they have many commonalities. as in living in a fantasy land, personal entitlement, lesser evolved frontal cortex & most obvious of all, a total disregard for anyone other than themselves. 🤷♂️1 point

Are you sure that is the word that you intended? I've had my two shots as well as a booster. However, *I* made the choice to do that. I feel strongly that mandates are Constitutionally illegal and shut-downs did much more to hurt the country than help it. Lumping flat-earthers, anti-vaxers and those against abortion is silly, simplistic and downright wrong. As for "News For Profit," that's every single news service. Not a one is non-profit. And before you yell PBS, its government supported (with our tax dollars,) therefore sponsored. Everyone yells "Follow the science." But the ones yelling that do everything but. I am a Libertarian and I look at Trump with a critical eye. But this banana that we have in the White House now has no clue, no plan. He keeps guys like Fauci on that is both an admitted liar and also accused of much higher misdeeds. The very moment that he was discovered to have connections to Wuhan, he should have been fired. And I am supposed to respect the WHO that kowtows to China and treats Taiwan with such disrespect? COVID is a ****-show, made that way by politicians. It's been a world-wide power grab since day 1, used for political purposes and in direct opposition to the welfare of the public and society at large. Yes, I'll get my shot because I am 60 and want one. But I support anyone's opposition to getting one. If the vaccine was the wonder jab that they claim, that shouldn't make a big difference. Just as someone not taking a flu shot shouldn't affect me when I've had mine. And you can shove that mask squarely up your rectal cavity. Especially if you are going to pull your mask down to your chin so that you can cuss me for not having one on.1 point

Unfortunately in the US, we've had people actively fighting against widely excepted pandemic protocols for the past two years. Honest question. Did you truly believe we(the US) are capable of stopping the spread of any virus as long as there is: news for profit, anti-maskers, anti-vaxers, flat earthers and my body my choice? (which ironically enough, are vehemently against Roe vs Wade). Our country has become Banana-land right before our eyes. The Great Divide shows no sign of slowing and only appears to keep the chaotic momentum churning. Problem is, its not sustainable.1 point

The vaccinated will be more likely to catch it and pass it on as some preliminary data shows. Since this group avoided earlier strains they will contract it in much higher numbers than unvaxxed. However, with Omni looking more and more everyday like the common cold, both vaxxed and unvaxxed should recover easily. Come April / May this will all be over.0 points
