I finished rebuilding 10255 Assembly Square this morning. I ended up completing 8 modulars and the Lantern Festival in Mils. Only 6 modulars plus extras to go next year. I hope to run Christmas lights through the town next year, but between life, a second child, and the fact I didn't even get to build the Christmas sets this year, I doubt it happens. Merry Christmas everybody. Yay LEGO!10 points

I'm no fan of Biden, but this is despicable. Some people show no respect to the presidency anymore. We should not be cursing out the President, our duly elected leader, despite whatever your feelings are for him. How are we as a country supposed to come together and accomplish things if half the country is cursing out the Commander in Chief? Truly sad.5 points

Another year.... another kid.... same train. It's clear that no form of non permanent birth control can defeat our ultra fertility. The oldest let me condense his zoo just enough to jam Christmas town in. Just a couple small sets added this year. The toy shop never got rebuilt due inventory and staffing shortages. There are a lot of set 10241 sitting off the coast of the table.4 points

Merry Christmas! So….what did you all get for Christmas, LEGO-wise? Not investment, but just fun stuff to build? Here’s my haul:3 points

Yup. If "their" guy does it, it is an absolute undeniably disqualifying event. If "our" guy does it, it's really not a big deal at all. I stopped consuming almost all news earlier this year and it is amazing how much more pleasant life is when I don't have someone constantly telling me that I need to be outraged by one thing or another that, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't matter. There was some good information about the psychology of a bubble and addiction as well as the relationship between the brand Ty and the secondary market. As someone who was a BB reseller it was interesting to me. They reviewed how BBs were distributed regionally across the USA which made it impossible to obtain them all locally. Imagine if LEGO distributed a series of CMF by region pre Internet and what you would need to do to complete the series. Then how the beginning of AOL and eBay changed everything. Plus Mary Beth was in there, I still remember using AIM with her and Chat rooms with others to make our own distribution.2 points

It’s taken a long time - probably at least a year - but that’s where I am. Once I stopped consuming social media, and curated what I do read (e.g. got rid default subs on the cesspool that is Reddit) and I’ve been infinitely happier. I’ve tried to break my wife, mom and mother in law of the habits but they won’t budge. I’m so much more aware of when they say “did you see the news today?” And being able to say “nope.”1 point

Ha, nothing 'under the tree' but I'm going to crack open the modular Police Station I snagged for 30% off during the Amazon.ca BF sale.1 point

Reached out to a good friend that I have wronged years and years back and we went our own separate ways. Been meaning to approach him for a couple years but I’ve been putting it off ( think the old man and his son from home alone ). We aren’t hanging out for Christmas but at least we talked for a good bit1 point

Ugh, my daughter threw up or as she said *vomitted* several times so our Christmas travel plans are off. At least it was just driving to stay with family. Kind of nice to have a chill day.0 points
