  1. I have been picking up some older SC sets to build now that I have learned how to embrace the stickers. Mostly from BL Canada the exchange rate and prices are advantageous. Also, I have gotten fortunate with 4 eBay auctions. Not sure why people auction off 5 year old sets but this just arrived 13S6, it was a great pickup and I was surprised the seller actually shipped it. I still need 75883 and 75889 to build so donโ€™t care about box condition if anyone has an extra, cough cough @BrickLegacy

  2. Thanks. That's probably what I'll do. I picked YTTV initially because it offered MLB Network. It's funny how "cutting the cord" has resulted in basically the same thing that people were trying to get away from.

  5. Just know that when the sticker sheets have been resting curved, I've had some of them lose their adhesion over time. Notably the Ford GT model for me but it might be isolated. I've since torn it down but am curious to see how the others have fared in storage. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk

  9. been in some pretty remote trails in the mountains and still had signal, pretty amazing the coverage. Main reason I dropped Tmobile years ago as parents had cabin in mountains and as soon as you turned off main road lost signal. Verizon covered it all.

  10. Yeah, my wife makes me stick with Verizon for coverage. We do get free Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Discovery+.

  11. T-Mobile gives us Netflix for free and $10 off month on YTTV. Plus, it's incredibly cheap for a five phone plan. Almost $100 cheaper/month than AT&T was. Although, coverage and reliability hasn't been as good.

  12. I also pay $40/mo for unlimited everything, including data & txt internationally (which is great because we travel to Europe regularly). T-Mobile Magenta One I think itโ€™s called. Recently switched as I was on a legacy T-Mobile plan that basically offered the same for the same price, but had to make a change that forced me to a new plan.

  13. FYI, the series is on Prime, under kids section

  14. For us, cutting the cord also means not paying for streaming services. The only 1 we have is Amazon but only because it comes with Prime. Should we stop needing Prime, that would be gone as well. I guess this is easier for me since I do not give an F about sports

  15. I ordered an XBOX from Walmart and it made it to Kansas City, where it seems to have hung up with "unable to deliver" (I don't live there). Walmart was super quick to just issue a refund. I wonder if it mysteriously gets found and delivered one day, or if it's forever gone.

  16. Pretty sad the 3 sets I've been hoping to snag a deal on aren't included (the mechs). Wonder if I'm going to have to pay full price for Demon Bull before it disappears.

  18. I've been waiting a month for a load of these from Target. They're trickling in. Today it was 2 sets in a massive box that could fit 10 of, sent 2000 miles, zero dunnage, perfect condition. Cheers, FedEx. Jeers, Target. Sent from my moto g power (2021) using Tapatalk

  19. Decided to pull the trigger on a few General Greivous Starfighters at 30% off. I don't love the set, but I don't think I can lose money at this point with it. Local LEGO Store finally sold out of BB and Corner Garage, though that has happened a couple times already and there's been restocks. Lots of the other retiring exclusives in stock. Supposedly, they will be giving pieces away to fix the Stuntz sets issues, in store. They were completely sold out of Stuntz, which surprised me because the Big Box stores still have tons of them. I also grabbed a couple of the Ninjago 10 Brickheadz. Because I couldn't help myself.

  27. The pandemic was like the one time in my life where I was prepared for an investment windfall (Selling LEGO).

  28. I think this has more to do with stuff that happened last year during the pandemic. I sat in on a webinar over the summer that included someone that does brand protection work for LEGO (internal employee). It was clear from what she said that the explosion in online sellers and particularly the rise of false storefronts was of great concern to them. My sense is that this has a lot more to do with LEGO wanting to ensure that the products that reach the hands of end users are products that have flowed through an official distribution channel that they have control over than any of the ancillary effects of reseller scum doing what they do. I have no idea what's going on with Bricklink, but if this is part of a larger effort to get control over who is selling branded products, I think we'll see them taking some action around Bricklink sooner or later.

  32. Very true, but still, the Bricklink thing makes me wonder. If the brand, in this case Lego, owns and operates a marketplace run exclusively by 3P sellers to sell their products in new and used conditions, doesn't that by definition mean that they have given 3p sellers authorization to sell their product on the internet and make the majority of their argument moot? Anyone with a bank account can open such a store on Lego's marketplace and Lego charges and collects fees for this reselling, would this not qualify as an authorized reseller of their product? Also, how can they possibly enforce QC standards when they allow the sale of new and used versions of their products on said marketplace?

  33. They sent the one I ordered in classic target fashion - a box half an inch too small in one direction packed diagonally. Box is fine, but the seals pop on one end when they do this. I picked a pristine one up in-store yesterday (with $10 GC back!) and my daughter is getting one as a gift, so no loss. I wish Target would get 15" x 20" boxes instead of 14" x 21" boxes. Vitacost has the perfect size boxes for these sets and I'm sure Target sells 100x more Lego than Kroger. Those are totally cereal box style re-closing flaps, not handles:

  34. Bowser's airship from BN for a personal build. I'm very happy with the 33% off, espwcially compared to Canadian "discounts". I also took the remaining Lamborghini sets and recently a couple more Bowser Castles. I have to quickly take advantage of US shopping in case the border becomes more restrictive. Yay LEGO!
