That’s exactly what I did. Aside from no box or instructions, one could never tell the difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

This set is so bad that when my Target got wiped out by an organized group of thieves they left these 😂4 points

Back from a long stint away helping family, finally made some headway on sorting out my garage... that was until I found a few boxes of stashed Space stuff... Been building a lot of Lego Friends stuff with my niece so to get back to space-based stuff is wonderful Planning on redoing the house and hope to get some proper display cases but bought some cheap ones from amazon for my nephew for Xmas for his Star Wars figs and decided to experiment... Think I will have to order him some more! It is great to be in my own home again 🍷 Also made my first Bricklink order today so am excited to see how that goes too 😊4 points

Watched this sketch a long time ago. Phil Hartman was one of the best part of SNL. Also, the guy playing Sulu in the sketch above also played Sulu here. Probably why the weight joke3 points

Got my third Pfizer on Tuesday, with no side effects (luckily). I can really see the improvement in my 5G reception.2 points

I know this is a common complaint most years (usually i'm on the opposite side) however I feel like selling this year has been particularly brutal. I mainly say this as a comparison to last year. My margins last year were 20-30% more than this year. Prices drove up and continued driving up throughout the selling season. Most sets have continued to drop price throughout the selling season or stagnated at the same price (Avengers helicopter, small harry potters, minecrafts etc. Additionally many sets selling at high prices have now dropped 20% since last year. Jurassic Carnotaurus Gyrosphere 75929, Mia's camper van 41339 to name a few. I have a strong feeling the restock limitations are causing people to value throughput over margin. I'm guess that a lot of the big sellers may not have had workforces to run the business last year as i didn't see toy planet undercutting every listing last year which is very prevalent this year. I'm definitely going to have to make some major adjustments moving forward as competition heats up. Getting the volume required to do well in the current climate is difficult through retailers.1 point

It's a long way off on my "to buy" list, but when it gets closer to retiring, I'll be happy to snag these at $110 a pop. There's just other stuff on its way out right now I would rather put that capital towards. IMO, there's a zero percent chance this isn't a $300 set when it retires.1 point

Thanks for the heads up! I passed on the world map as it's not my thing, but picked up a Fiat and 3 Cantinas at 5:00 am. Fiat and World Map are still available at 40% off but the Cantina deal is gone.1 point

LG Stylo series had the best valued phones for their prices. All bells and whistles (including a stylus) for about $150. I had Stylo 6 that finally became unusable after I dropped it for the 10th time. I was so sad they stopped making the series. I switched to Galaxy Note which is 2.5 times as powerful but 5 times as expensive. I wanted the cheaper phone, but the store did not have too many phones in stock that day. For a Pillager Outpost it is missing the most prominent feature, the tower. If the Lego company were to release that later on its own as The Pillager Tower perhaps then this scene would be complete. Otherwise, it is only half done. As things stand this set is the cheapest way to acquire the crossbow wielding Pillagers with some pumpkin heads and an Iron Golem. Nothing standout-ish design wise really without the tower looming above anyway.1 point

I did something that I haven't done in a long time. In September, I went back to school and today was the last day of exams until January. Seven courses is a ton of work, but it's pretty rewarding (and it's not too weird being the oldest or second oldest person in the room). Only 32 months to go. I have no energy to get the Christmas Sets out, but at least I have three weeks to work on it. I never built the gingerbread, elf, or fire station due to the baby, but this might finally be the year to break those open. Yay LEGO!1 point

I think people are buying this set just for the Iron Golem. And check out what is in LEGO Minecraft The Jungle Abomination 21176.1 point

Saw this sketch from 1976 SNL. This was a genius piece of art. They assumed audience were smart enough to follow & understand the jokes. 🤯1 point

pretty sure someone's 1 job is to go around the various LEGO manufacturing site to damage or lose random piece molds...during LEGO's history someone high up discovered that purposely introducing a bit of chaos is good for the brand...it forces innovation and flexibility. THIS is the ONLY explanation for the retirement schedule every year1 point

Mine was the $10 off $10 coupon and using them on $10.99 battle packs 75034, 75035, 75036. Used about $0.60 points on each. I stopped ordering at about 300 and none were canceled. I received like 6% back 3Bates on the $10.99 for each. I had one garage stall pretty full of boxes and envelopes. The post office even just brought the envelopes in those big USPS totes and just left them on the porch. They did mix in a few Battle on Saleucami and Battle on Geonosis with the shipments accidentally when they were picking stuff off the shelves.1 point

I hit about 10+ stores. First one I walked into I found some common sets sitting on the front shelf. Grabbed them and then heard another at the register talking about the collectibility of all the sets. Look over and he has all the Speed Champions, Mando's and Star Wars sets sitting on the counter. Hate missing it by that much. Next store had nothing and so I was thinking I would just call it off and just hit the one by my work. Mid-route I change my mind and decide to just continue with my previous course of action. Boom, every store for the most part was $250 - $750 from then on. The people working at Big Lots were the nicest people too -- was a pleasant surprise. Wish I had known and got up early because it got so annoying when everyone in my family started texting me wondering where I was in the late afternoon. There were some stores that had lego piles set aside for online orders but I just hit the road myself. There was actually a lot of stuff that looked flippable but I didn't have the time to deal with it. Only bad thing is I'm really not looking forward to peeling all those price stickers off. Its going to take half a day . . . 😂1 point

Massive outbreak of tornadoes last night across the mid-south and Midwest. One even hit an Amazon Warehouse in Illinois. Kentucky got hit the worst, 50+ dead and rising. Sirens didn’t go off or we slept through it. Alexa had all the alerts waiting for me this am. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk0 points

Curbside pickup on some Bowsers today at WM. My first time doing curbside there. Checked in online and called to check in. Waited 30 minutes, got mad about the long wait and left. Hour later I get an email saying my item has been picked up & my card has been charged. 🤬 Talked to cust service & they are taking care of it. I'll go inside to pick up from now on.0 points

Well FUA for sending some of my crap to a brand new FC that isn't up and running yet and the inventory is now stranded. Whose genius idea was this, to do it so close to Christmas.0 points
