Got my third Pfizer on Tuesday, with no side effects (luckily). I can really see the improvement in my 5G reception.10 points

I did something that I haven't done in a long time. In September, I went back to school and today was the last day of exams until January. Seven courses is a ton of work, but it's pretty rewarding (and it's not too weird being the oldest or second oldest person in the room). Only 32 months to go. I have no energy to get the Christmas Sets out, but at least I have three weeks to work on it. I never built the gingerbread, elf, or fire station due to the baby, but this might finally be the year to break those open. Yay LEGO!7 points

Just had some kid ask me for a list of my entire inventory so he could sell on eBay. I gave him a ballpark of what I had, which of course he promptly refused. I advised him that getting into LEGO reselling requires some time and effort (so get off YouTube and start hitting the clearance aisle), never buy from a reseller, and learn to spell "Entrepeneur" 🤨5 points

Back from a long stint away helping family, finally made some headway on sorting out my garage... that was until I found a few boxes of stashed Space stuff... Been building a lot of Lego Friends stuff with my niece so to get back to space-based stuff is wonderful Planning on redoing the house and hope to get some proper display cases but bought some cheap ones from amazon for my nephew for Xmas for his Star Wars figs and decided to experiment... Think I will have to order him some more! It is great to be in my own home again 🍷 Also made my first Bricklink order today so am excited to see how that goes too 😊4 points

Mine was their famous Get 100% Back in Points deal. I'd come home with bags of envelopes, paper towels, chips, Mac n cheese or whatever else was on sale less the eternal 15 off 75 coupon, then spend the points on Lego which was again discounted and stack it again with more 15/75 coupons. The best was the Get 100% in Points deal on Friends sets. Literally free Lego. I think they actually paid us to take them. I wonder why they went out of business. when you set up a new template now, amazon FORCES you to use SHIPPING SETTING AUTOMATION - this is kind of a pita and not optimal imo. this forces you to go through a step wise process where you specify what shipping servces you utilize. i would go through it select only first class, priority and ups ground. first for standard, then for expedited. after you get through this you can edit the template (whatever you name it) . you can turn off SHIPPING SETTING AUTOMATION and it goes back to the "old fashioned" way by editing the template and then looking near the top for the slider switch. then you can go back to the old way and adjust it zone or state by state. if i were you i'd turn off the shipping setting automation and offer free 1-2 day shipping in my home state or subregion in my home state - (cali?) that way you're dealing with UPS ground or USPS PRIORITY - no USP3 day bs. put states you don't want to ship to on hawaii-alaska mode- 5-8 days. i'm doing that right now with the western us to avoid getting any orders from there. you can even sub-select geographic region in cali. you can compete with instock fba under this arrangement.2 points

I rarely insure anything. If you're worried about it going missing I try to reduce the number of hands it passes through and length of time. Overnighting items that are above a certain amount. In my years of selling the only items I've had an issue with was First Class items. I did send in multiple large shipments via USPS to PSA (authenticators). I utilized insurance and Registered Mail on those. Mostly because I was afraid of the sheer number of items they were receiving at the time. That took forreeevveeeer to get there and scared me way more than just overnighting. If you're worried about packaging getting damaged make sure you are fully aware of the packaging restrictions they lay out. (Amount of packing material, box rigidity etc). Just too much hassle to really deal with imo.2 points

Or because the tax code caters to these companies. When you make a lot of money, you have a lot of money to influence those that can help change tax code in your favor.2 points

I may not be a Technic enthusiast and I think this bike is baller. Side by side comparisons to the real deal do show some not quite accurate details but I believe the overall look & feel is there. Besides there is only so much accuracy one can achieve with standard Lego or more advanced Technic pieces. A part of me harkens back to playing some Super Hang-On in the arcades.2 points

You don't owe any tax if the cost of the sold items are lower than the purchase amount.2 points

All people who complain about Bezos should stop using any and all Amazon offerings. Otherwise, they are the same as those people who complain about child labor being used in China yet still use Apple products2 points

??? how is ebay at fault that you made sales over 20k ? btw next year is $600 instead of 20k2 points

I got a message from an upset buyer asking me why I have not given them updates on their first class package which has not arrived yet. And that when they sell something they are "on top of it" to let their buyer know if something is going to be late. I currently have 28 active items with 88 sold in the last 60 days. This buyer/seller has 0. **edit - did a bit of research and seems like the items they sell are the same as what I sold them. Hmm wondering if they are flipping the flip and getting grief from their buyer, lol. **2 points

Someone was in a bidding war on my item and he lost, I relisted it after the auction and he messaged me to ask why do I have another copy??!! Should I tell him I'm reseller scum? I often get messages telling me somewhere else is cheaper, I'm like ok good deal buy from them instead!2 points

reminds me of the time... so as parents we're always looking to get diaper deals (Costco, Target, etc) to maximize the cost per poop..ANYWAY, one time while traveling we were caught without a spare and had to purchase the Individually packaged for retail at a 7/11...I think it was like $7...(I know so what)....any way we had to get it because we had no spares or backups...during the rest of the day we were just banking on not needing it till we got to our regular stash...all the time thinking.."well we have some old t-shirts we could jerry rig instead". Well we ended up not needing it and still have the unopened package to this day...2 points

I missed out on this one and has been on my radar. As an early entry to the classic scenes sets...I kinda ignored it as I didn't think the series would continue...but it clearly has and now I "need" one (such an iconic scene)1 point

Ordered a Buckbeak’s Rescue with a few smaller sets to get the resurrected Griffindor’s Dorms set earlier this week. Status flipped to “Waiting for new stock” in my order, and Buckbeak’s Rescue is now listed as “Sold Out”. GWP and smaller sets already shipped. Will I be lucky and will they cancel Buckbeak, or will there be one more magical print run for these? Keeping my fingers crossed1 point

I enjoyed the first film better than I expected to honestly and I attribute that primarily to how well they got the main cast down. It also helped the studio went back to redesign (movie) Sonic to look closer to his original design over what was shown off in the very first teaser (the one which spawned numerous nightmare fuel memes). As a videogame-based movie goes, Sonic The Hedgehog is in the middle of having little to do with the videogames far as scenery goes with but a few glimpses into those "zones" yet at the same time what was important to the videogames was brought forth and center with the characters acting as they should. Jim Carrey as Dr. Ivo Robotnik is basically Jim Carrey playing a villain surrounded by a bunch of robots ....and he has a mustache. It's more him having fun as an almost cartoony comic book baddie crossed with classic James Bond archnemesis villainy than any of the various iterations of "the Eggman" between the older & modern Archie comics, the different animated series', and everything up to current gaming. There are also some traces of his "In Living Color" roots showing. In the end, if you do not enjoy Jim Carrey's style of acting or humor then I believe you would not enjoy his take on the role here. Additionally, there was an after credits scene completely sequel bating the audience. I shan't spoil anything. Just saying it's there.1 point

Curbside pickup on some Bowsers today at WM. My first time doing curbside there. Checked in online and called to check in. Waited 30 minutes, got mad about the long wait and left. Hour later I get an email saying my item has been picked up & my card has been charged. 🤬 Talked to cust service & they are taking care of it. I'll go inside to pick up from now on.1 point

the option I had was for ANY shipper; not just USPS. So they are a 3rd party underwriter is my guess and they basically insure that the package will not get lost enroute. The cost of the insurance changed depending on which vendor I chose. I opted for FedEx Home Delivery (Which has never failed me before tho I am low volume) and the cost of the insurance was lower than the USPS Priority Mail optoion. ANyway I checked w/ the buyer before shipping that I intend to do signature required (good to give folks a heads up as many don't work form home). He claimed that he was working and would not be able to sign; but also stated he has an enclosed porch and has never had problems w/ deliveries. Generally good communication so that's a good sign. I guess I'll know how it goes by Tuesday.1 point

I too got my first sweep of Bowsers. They came packed in the Lego Shipping boxes (qty 2 each). Wouldn't be surprised if single orders get sent with just a label.1 point

Because big cooperations have the money to pay people who organzise a way around. For the most of us that concept does not work because the people you have to pay to make it work are more expensive than you earn. In that context I am amazed by Biontech, which is a stock listed company and actually pays all his taxes in Germany. With the "right" company structure they could have saved a few billions.1 point

You should definitely pay your taxes. Bezos isn't a villain, its all the lazy people using its system to get products. Most of my friends think Bezos is the worst baddie in existence however they all purchase things from Amazon soooo 🙈 There is a tiny bar above that, that says restock limits. It should have a number of units. I got rekt by it this year. Hadn't sold most of the year only to find out a week before hand my limit was 1/5th what i needed 😕1 point

I built the haunted tower/house over the last 2 weeks. It was a nice, interesting build and I really appreciate Lego trying to add a story into the instructions. The elevator mechanism is cool and I look forward to motorizing it. Yay LEGO!1 point
