Interesting that as soon as the Titanic went to OOS the mini Disney Castle returned. You can order 2 and get the coffee cart. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/mini-disney-castle-404783 points

We love decorating for both Halloween and Christmas. My favorite is Halloween, and hers is Christmas. We both handle decorating inside for both (she does more inside for Christmas), and I do the outside decorations for both holidays. We just got into vintage blow mold collecting. We had one last year that my mother-in-law gave us a couple of years ago. Between last Christmas and now, we have amassed almost 30 pieces. Mostly vintage with a handful of new ones that were released this season. I've got a lot of work to do this month to figure out how to display them. I just learned about vampire plugs that come in handy for lighting them. Beats the standard outdoor extension cords. I can't wait to see it too! haha Like I said above, I've got a lot of figuring out to do for all the new blow molds we bought. I'll post pictures once I've finished.3 points

Well, I tentatively accepted a job offer today. I'm negotiating some health insurance sticking points but I'm going to take it. I interviewed last week with a corporate firm of 1.2K with offices across the US and in Spain. They also recently bought up more firms so they seem to do a lot of acquisitions. The interview went great, and I was offered a position 40 minutes in, with a title that was above what I applied for. They even threw in a corner office. I liked the manager and also I liked some of their work that they are doing. However, the salary was rather low. In fact, it was below my salary range by $7,000. My wife suggested I reach out to a smaller, local firm where I had two interviews but they were unable to hire me due to the pandemic. Luckily, it turns out that someone had left the firm to move out of state and they were in need of help. After two interviews and emails back and forth, I got an offer that was the top end of what I asked for. In fact, it was $11,500 more than the other corporate firm. That pretty much sealed the deal, especially since we just had a baby. It's a workers market out there right now but yeah, time to get back into the office. Maybe corporate life isn't for me...3 points

supposedly no more store stock of these before holidays in stores. SAH doesn't do much good with low limits which most have probably already used up. Kinda similar to wreath last year but think this is even earlier.2 points

i used air pillow bags for a decade without issues . as long as you right size your box and pay attention to details both work equally well for me. when you are packing the same thing 20x it is quicker to measure out the same number of cells for each box then crumpling up the paper just the right way x20 but in the last year i switched to kraft paper and have had zero issues with damage . the paper takes up much less space , more price efficient, biodegradable.2 points

Not that difficult. Figure a price and see if it sells. If it doesn't sell, lower the price.1 point

Good interview with Chris Stam lead Speed Champions designer for at least the last 3 years. He also did some of the original 2015 models like the Ford Raptor. Sticker talk is towards the end.1 point

I just got a cancellation notice on the Ninjago set (I blame you :P) but a fedex shipping notification for the other set. No idea how it will get charged to my card.1 point

I go to my local newspaper and ask for their end rolls. These are the remnants of their huge paper rolls and they usually sell them for $1 each. Don't let the size below fool you. Basically, a small roll is equivalent to a couple hundred newspapers (minus the print.) $3-4 worth lasts a real long time.1 point

Airbags have no give. If there is a force on the side of the box the airbag will almost completely transfer the force to the set. Crumpled kraft paper has the ability to "squish" and absorbs more of the impact. Even Lego has stopped shipping with airbags and switched to kraft paper. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk1 point

I feel like there is no guaranteed way to see all the deals that exist. Sometimes things appear on their site that don't trigger on the item page, sometimes the other way around. Searching 'Lego' on their site and selecting will yield some things, but sometimes only if they have Lego in the item name. This link is the one we share often, it goes to the list of offers just for Lego SaH - sometimes it doesn't include all of them for some reason. https://www.joinhoney.com/explore/popular/lego shop/E9DXCzE8d_114 I took advantage of the vitacost offers last week so I think I might be in Honey 'time-out' for a bit as it's not displaying bonus offers for me at all the last couple days, but it does if I look at them on my phone in desktop mode? Anyways, I enjoy the mystery of Honey almost as much as I enjoy the cash back.1 point

Couple of observations after going Walgreens hunting yesterday and today: - Someone went for all the 90% clearance in my neck of the woods. Only managed to find the DOTS adventures bracelet (41918) for $0.60 at one store (90% off its $5.99 RRP), but that was also THE ONLY STORE that clearanced that item - in all other stores they rang up RRP - One store had 76140 Iron Man Mechs for $6.99, but all other stores that had them had them for RRP $9.99 - 11008 Bricks and Houses consistently rings up as 60287 City Tractor - The pricing on 60287 City Tractor and 21171 The Horse Stables is for sure a pricing error - it is not ringing up as any kind of sale. - Where 60287 & 21171 should have been $19.99 but ring up for $9.99, 76171 Miles Morales Mech rings up for $19.99, but should have been ringing up for $9.99. This leads me to believe someone in HQ accidentally(?) swapped the RRPs on 21171 and 76171 (note the last 3 digits are the same). The same sleepy-head probably also copy & pasted the price on 60287 to 11008, but forgot to update the description (hence it ringing up as 60287). Taking it one step further, here is what I think happened: 1. Mr/Mrs Sleepy-head accidentally swapped 76171 and 21171, leading to 21171 being priced $9.99. 2. They then realized that 21171, 60287 and 11008 were all sets with the same dimension boxes, same RRPs etc, so they copied the record from 76171 to create the 60287 record. 3. Then they proceeded to update the second record to 60287, and made all the changes necessary (GTIN/UPC, description etc.) 4. They made a copy again, now of the 60287 record, to prep 11008, and added the GTIN/UPC. 5. While they were doing that, that cute girl/rugged handsome bachelor from finance came by and they totally got distracted. After 15-20 minutes of flirtation, now totally aroused, they decided to accept the offer to "let's grab a drink right now" . They quickly pressed Save and left in a horny frenzy, not realizing they forgot to update the 11008 record with 11008's description. 6. The reseller community POUNCED.1 point
