I'm still trying to figure out why it's squirting water from the rear window. Maybe Batman moonlights as a Uber driver for the Justice League and Auqaman is his current customer.2 points

Man, it would be extremely difficult for me to not select 'Customer Service Interaction' on every one of these. Interacting with these monkeys banging on keyboards hurts my brain. I can write something like, "I sent 25 boxes to this FC and you only checked in 2 of them. Can you please see if you can find the other 23?" They would close the case and respond with something like, "We checked the contents of those two boxes and nothing was missing." Seriously, that isn't a hypothetical; I literally wrote that 5 times in 5 separate cases and every single one received that response. And it's not an isolated incident. Just about every one of my interactions starts off with some kind of non-sensical response that requires me to open multiple cases until someone reads it with an IQ higher than the average temperature at the North Pole.2 points

I would either price at the Buybox or above, pricing below and selling below drives down the algorithm with each sale at that price and is generally bad practice as a whole. Amazon's ways are mysterious but you'll notice some things pretty quickly about why you are or aren't getting a sale--you may have stock in FC transfer or located in a different warehouse away from a buyer.1 point

Samara is going to get you whether you're looking or not because, as you may recall, she DOES want to hurt you. However, as long as you move the TV out of the room, you should be ok. Also, we may be past the point where Samara poses a threat given the death of VHS...could you imagine how busy she'd be if her shtick worked in the world of streaming?1 point

Many of these are fairly mainstream, so you've probably seen most, or all of them already. But I'll post my list anyway. My top 10 horror recommendations: I judge all horror on the same criteria. Watching alone, at night with surround sound headphones. Only way to truly tell if a movie can actually scare you. Other viewers ruins the effect for me. Big, big, big shoutout to Sinister. Probably the only movie that has really scared me. A horror masterpiece IMO. 1. Sinister 2. Let me in 3. Midsommer 4. Hereditary 5. Taking of Deborah Logan 6. Triangle 7. Mother 8. Babadook 9. Vivarium 10. The Witch Edit: Forget to add It Follows. I'd put it in the middle of the pack.1 point

My last wreath orders were Nov last year. My two orders with wreaths in them are in warehouse.... I know this could just as easily be in the order status thread but thought it would help in the DD thread for those wondering if they should risk a reorder on the wreath. So maybe the limit did reset after this long.1 point

I've been debating this for the flimsy boxes myself... with the caveat being time to prep. I've noticed, as a customer, almost all of my "1x of your small box LEGO order has shipped" have arrived in a mailer with 30-40% unsellable upon opening.1 point

Here is a list through 2020 of other sets the designer has done or worked on. Interesting how small he started out. Some of these are really good builds. https://brickset.com/sets/designer-Mike-Psiaki1 point

got the green lambo on the ebay deal posted earlier (at least it "probably" was a Target fiasco and not stolen or CC fraud related) I expect the box to be well-beaten on it's way over here; so for a personal build...by the time my backlog gets to the point of me actually considering to build...that takes me to about 5 years post-retirement so I can decide if the resale of a beaten box is not worth it enough for me to break the seals or if I need to hunt for a used set...per the Orange Porsche.1 point

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/wps.20921 is the link to the actual study. This is cumulative to include many other substances. The most telling part of the study is the incredibly high difference between the underlying conditions for SUD, and non-SUD patients. Unfortunate highlights include both a 1066% higher rate of HIV, 277% higher rate of cancer, plus significant leads in every category. I'd say the best one could take from this, is that substance abuse can lead to higher rates of underlying conditions that put one at a higher risk of a compromised immune system, which would allow to a higher rate of breakthrough COVID-19 cases. It's best to look at the actual research and not just pull headlines that support what you are trying to convey.1 point

Purchased two #71044 Disney Train Stations (Train Station bags only) on eBay some time ago. Finally put together and modified to be a complete and enclosed building. They are essentially mirrored from one side to the next. I also expanded the taller tower a little bit and now fits a total of four windows on the roof instead of the original just having two. Plus, I made it to be modular as well. I did not have to use too many extra pieces from my bulk, mainly tile pieces and the train tracks. And I was able to integrate the cobblestone tiles from the GWP Harry Potter Diagon Ally #40289. I do enjoy train station buildings and I think it looks pretty sharp.1 point

Here is a quick backstory to that I had built my Jeep to handle moderate trails and tires was the last piece of that. I probably looked at every aggressive tire made and asked my wife what she thought for each model. Eventually she breaks and says "I don't care, they all look the same to me, stop showing them to me." Ever since then when one of us is tired of discussing a subject we politely inform the other that "this is becoming a tires conversation" and that's the signal to move on.1 point
