  1. That looks impressive. Doubtful that I'll ever build it, the thought of eventually having to tear it down is enough for me to pass, unless Target blows them out for $15.

  2. For those that don't know video above is a former Lego designer he also did Ship in a Bottle, and he says this is the best Lego set he ever built and that it was not boring and repetitive (like the Colosseum). I like how easy it is to move. Hopefully they have a great GWP like a to scale life boat with minifigures, and it is available during VIP early access. A little more critical but still very good:

  3. You can try one of their affiliate companies. Next Insurance was under $350 with no additional inventory insurance.

  4. Personally, I’d go for an iceberg as the GWP.

  5. Will be interesting to see if not only price but space limits sales. I already know exactly where mine is going.

  6. I pay $1352 a year with Hartford. They will do an "audit" survey every year to check your sales volume and the price increases as your revenue goes up. I would guess rates probably start around $500-$700 a year if you are not a high volume seller.

  7. I believe w/ the release of multiple mega sets...which produces headlines (read = free PR); LEGO is paving new ground on the scale of their models...THIS is just the beginning. LEGO is likely seeing the "Marquee Effect" meaning they don't need to really sell many of the mega sets...as the PR for LEGO is worth a lot more...what it causes is a one up-manship w/ LEGO needing to top previous highs to capture the same level of PR. All this and record LEGO profits...it's a good time to be a LEGO fan as we will continue to see bigger and grander sets coming out sooner and sooner

  8. I find that really cool how Lego incorporated TC from the former Lego designer in sets he had input on even after leaving Lego. For those curious it is discussed around the 8:57 mark in video above.

  9. Purchased two #71044 Disney Train Stations (Train Station bags only) on eBay some time ago. Finally put together and modified to be a complete and enclosed building. They are essentially mirrored from one side to the next. I also expanded the taller tower a little bit and now fits a total of four windows on the roof instead of the original just having two. Plus, I made it to be modular as well. I did not have to use too many extra pieces from my bulk, mainly tile pieces and the train tracks. And I was able to integrate the cobblestone tiles from the GWP Harry Potter Diagon Ally #40289. I do enjoy train station buildings and I think it looks pretty sharp.

  11. Man, it would be extremely difficult for me to not select 'Customer Service Interaction' on every one of these. Interacting with these monkeys banging on keyboards hurts my brain. I can write something like, "I sent 25 boxes to this FC and you only checked in 2 of them. Can you please see if you can find the other 23?" They would close the case and respond with something like, "We checked the contents of those two boxes and nothing was missing." Seriously, that isn't a hypothetical; I literally wrote that 5 times in 5 separate cases and every single one received that response. And it's not an isolated incident. Just about every one of my interactions starts off with some kind of non-sensical response that requires me to open multiple cases until someone reads it with an IQ higher than the average temperature at the North Pole.

  22. Wow. Well for starters, antibiotics are for... say it with me... BACTERIA. And indeed over-prescription of antibiotics is a worry with superbugs and drug-resistant strains. There is no vax and booster insanity. There are vaccines that basically prevent you from dying. The vaccine teaches your immune system to respond to the virus. That's how immune systems work. You can teach it by getting sick and having a BAD time, or you have some real smart people figure out a way to trigger a similar immune response without the bad time. We're trying to save millions of lives, and I can't tell if you just don't care or you think we're doing it wrong, either way, you've shown over and over that you're out of your depth talking about it.

  24. the world is changing scary fast, and you don't understand it. We get it. I have empathy with your stress. It is difficult to exist in a system that is this complex. But, don't be so afraid. Everyone isn't out to get you.

  26. Doctors gave up on my low immune mystery. Just going with the its out of whack from Sarcoid. Said its concerning its that low , only seen it that low in HIV patients but said if you were truly that low you'd be sick all the time with little stuff. Get to come off Keppra next week. Last Neurologist doesn't think its neurosarcoid either so thinks just asymptomatic sarcoid and had a bad case of viral meningitis. Said if I come off Keppra and the episodes come back then it most likely would be neurological and would have to run more tests but really doesn't think it is with no lesions on the brain scans. Process of elimination. Seems scientific
