  4. My dad made me learn on a VW Rabbit years ago. Great skill to know. Last month I visited a buddy of mine in Colorado Springs for Vaca. He had an extra car he let me use. He asked if I knew how to drive a stick. I showed up and he gave me a brand new "racing" Miata convertible with 3000 miles on it. Fully modified. It was awesome hauling ass around the mountains. Took it to Aspen. It was a blast. Then one morning we got up early and we went racing.....err....I mean driving....across one of the mountain passes with him driving. He knew the limits of the vehicle and how to drive it properly. It was a blast! Oh, and he also had a Nissan GTR we ripped as well. Something like 1100 horsepower on that bad boy. He had it up to 207mph on an airport runway where they were allowed to race for a weekend.

  9. My friend spotted them yesterday unmarked on the shelf and they scanned for $35 each. I went today to pick them up. Its a madhouse as you can imaginr as its the only Target in New Orleans right now with power. Today I scanned them and they wouldnt scan. The area manager said they werent supposed to be out as they were getting salvaged because they havent sold. She took them from me and placed them in a cart. When she left I grabbed them and took them to a different manager who not only sold them to me but took more off.....but no were not marked.

  21. It's got to be pretty low. First off, most millennials don't know how to drive a stick and there aren't too many new models that have it as an option anymore. It's been 20+ years since I've driven a stick. My sister came to visit last month and she has a Mini Cooper S that's a stick. I got excited and asked if I could drive it. Let's just say it was a little jerky the first couple of starts. haha

  22. What percentage of US population can drive stick shifts nowadays ? Heck, I have not driven 1 in so long it would probably take me 15 minutes just to get used to it.

  23. I don't think that I have ever received a Zavvi that wasn't smashed badly. Sometimes if I order 3 of a set, the center one will be protected a bit by the other 2 sets taking the hit.

  31. bricklink.com is your friend you should cherry pick the valued minifigures and sell those individually anything <$7 bag in a group and sell as a lot (like you mentioned) for a quick and easy take some pictures of your collection and post them here...you'll know real quick if any resellers are interested in a bulk purchase (keep in mind selling on BPer you're looking to sell to a market of resellers so they expect to make AT LEAST 50% profit (so your sell price is about 70% off the market prices of used sets [ie bricklink]). special individual sets such as the vintage space theme you might get better pricing individually but it will be some work and time.

  32. My son has asked Santa for a 10261 Roller Coaster the past two years, but Santa wasn't too keen on spending $380 on a new one. Lucky for him, I bought a loose one over the weekend for $230. It came with both instruction manuals (no box) and was missing two small pieces (orange ice cream top with clear cup). The guy was an hour away and offered to meet me halfway, so that was nice. I feel lucky to grab it at this price since it's "supposedly" retiring at the end of the year. Santa doesn't pay a premium for retired sets...at least our Santa doesn't.

  38. Part 2 of Modular-Mils. Building this set reminded me that some of the pieces have faded (no sand green ones) and I have a note to buy replacement pieces after Covid. That was a LOOOOONG time ago The rest of the minis are sleeping in the hotel, per my toddler. Yay LEGO!

  39. Exactly! I just want a csv copy. I would have made a backup if I would have known the feature was not going to be available/taken down for a long time. If you don't want to bring back the brickfolio, that is perfectly fine. Just give us our csv copies and most will be happy.

  40. I have no dog in the Brickfolio fight (I never used it and don't care if it ever returns), but doesn't it seem like the next step should be you asking people if they would like this new idea that you have or to have their Brickfolio data restored? So far, there is PLENTY of evidence that people want their Brickfolio data, but zero evidence that this new secret idea is going to be of any value to anyone. Not working on something that people are clamoring for to instead work on something that nobody is asking for seems a bit backwards, no? Listen to your customer. No, they haven't paid anything, but they're still your customers. I mean, at this point, can't you just provide everyone a CSV of their data and not keep the hope alive that the Brickfolio will ever be coming back? I get it, it's a free site, and a free service that was offered. But, at the same time, they just want to access their data that you already have. According to your past posts on the topic, you've stated repeatedly that all of the data is safe. So, just make it available to everyone and move on from this project that you clearly have no interest in completing.

  43. I ordered 3 and mine were all shipped the exact same way, individually. They were all pancaked. Also, one end of each box was sliced open so the set could have just slid out of the box... I am guessing that was from customs inspection. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk

  45. Fiat 500 in baby blue arrived today from Zavvi. Ordered on 9/1. Fedex International shipment. Pancaked because they shipped in a larger version of the foldover cardbox Amazon uses when shipping books. Sigh. Luckily I ordered 1 for personal build only. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
