  10. Nah...I'll pass on the tattoo. None of those things are "normal" in the context of how we were able to live our lives prior to March 2020, but I recognize and accept the fact that we live in a complex world where **** happens that we have to adapt to. I don't like all of the things that we've had to do to adapt to the pandemic, but I accept them because I know that there is nothing to be gained by whining, ignoring the reality that we are confronted with, or comforting myself with stupid conspiracy theories that do nothing to get us all back to where we'd like to be.

  15. We had a lot of rain this weekend so I built the Medieval Blacksmith. Probably the best set I have built in the past 2 years. It has details like a Jamie Beard Modular and some neat new building techniques like the roof. 4 good Minifigures, a horse and wagon, a light brick, a dog, No stickers and Sand Green Nexo Knight Shields, what is not to like.

  16. Funny story relating to this. I used to work at a job where we would have to take an individuals state issued I.D. to pull the picture and the name off of it, to create a temporary access badge. One particular individual refused to give me his because he quote "didn't want the government to have access to his information". I think it is fair to be critical over certain decisions of those in power. But I get particularly turned off by groups when they attempt to say that the opposition is both extremely organized and evil, and then turn around and state they are dumb and inept. You can only have it one way.

  19. I had dozens of treehouses until Dec of last year... when the date got pushed back to 2021, I sold them all at a profit (buy-in was ~30% off) & needless to say, I'm happy about my decision. I would have also sold at a loss. It hurts, sure, especially when the initial date would've been such a short run, but that's the game. There are so many big sets retiring this year, I'd say free up the capital & go for it.

  20. You should never be afraid of taking a loss if the circumstances warrant it. It's much better to dump, take the loss and reinvest than tie the full amount of that capital up with the hope of future returns. I learned that lesson the hard way with 10188. Since that debacle, I have been quick to dump things that are not productive and don't regret a single loss I have taken for this reason. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk

  25. If you really believe this, then you should really consider living off the grid and getting off the internet because if you worry about the government coming after you for not "complying", then your post history here is more than enough evidence for them to come after you.

  26. You’ve accepted your fate. When it comes and the government enforces that QR code tattoo You’ll comply because what choice do you have? The “conspiracy” is playing out before your eyes and you are blind to it.

  27. Regardless of where you stand on covid, vaccines and masks we should all take a moment to consider our position in world history. Just like 9-11, young people will ask what it was like when it happened? What it was like before? How you felt? And most importantly, how the world changed? Interesting ideas to ponder. I believe this is just the opening innings of a gripping seven game series. I for one will grab my popcorn and watch the chaos unfold while preparing for a new world order. Observe and react as the chapters of history are written in real time. I'm already imaging a later inning where kids are ripped from their parents and vaccinated for the "greater good." Or the approaching moment when one portion of society is cut off from the other. Family against family. Brother against brother. Whether just or unjust in its goals, this is when the real games begin. The mask debate will pale in comparison. Buckle up boys. This ride never ends.

  35. I'm hip. I've had a very good life. I spent 11 years in the military, 16 years as a Harley-Davidson factory test rider. I've been married and was smart enough to divorce her when she tried to change me into somebody that I'm not. I've raised a great daughter and help with a beautiful granddaughter. I've lived in the Philippines, the UK, Japan and visited some of the world's greatest treasures. With all that, if it wasn't for my family, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the plug. The last 4-5 years, arthritis and heart AFIB has taken its toll and I'm just tired of pain. And before anyone recommends counseling, I'll keep plugging until the end because I would never inflict the emotions on my daughter and 80+ year father that checking out early would cause.

  42. バスターソード Cloud Strife's Buster Sword by Brick Ninja Here is a little tid bit from the pic description: Cloud Strife’s Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII. This is a 1:1 life size replica. It is 6 feet long, and over a foot wide. This is based off of its appearance in Final Fantasy VII: Remake (Part 1) which is celebrating its 1 year anniversary today. Stability was a major issue with this sword, particularly due to the Materia slots (Two circular holes near where the blade connects to the hilt. In the end it is fairly sturdy. (The only position it cannot withstand is being held out flat, parallel to the ground.)

  43. I get this complaint mainly from headgear that doesn't have the "Lego" stamp in it but has the "C" for the copyright. One of many reasons that I stopped selling parts and have gone strictly to figures and sets. Way less orders, but much less stress in my life as well.

  45. Well just got my first return of the Xmas season. XXXmas I suppose. I have been selling Jenna Jameson bobbleheads (got a lot of them cheap) for some time now. Anyway, out of town for a bit so I cranked the prices on all my things as placeholders. Cranked the Jenna price from 8 bucks to about 29.99. Was shocked when one of them sold on Xmas eve. I was relishing the Xmas spirit and decided to send 3 of them to the guy since he paid a premium. Today got the refund request: Return reason: It's defective or doesn't work Comments: all three that you sent, I took the bra covering of and the breasts of the item were stained on all of them Yes, the breasts are stained, on all 3 of them. Including the two freebies I sent him. He opened all 3 up essentially ruining any resell value. Also somehow his request states that I should pay shipping but I specifically put in all auctions BUYER pays shipping. How do they even do that? I tried to politely tell him sorry that all these items including the TWO I SENT YOU FOR FREE weren't to your liking but I only accept returns on UNOPENED merchandise (this was written in the description plain as day). His response: it looks like the clothing that was covering the breast area stained though and onto the breasts because the covering was purple and the stain on the breasts are purple, I thought it may of been just the one so I opened the others, and I thought you should know too, if you have any open one and see for yourself, before you get anymore complaints,. My theory is he "stained the breasts" himself. So I offered him $10 refund and he keeps them. Really don't want to get stuck paying for shipping and refunding this clown in full. Gotta figure out how to block bidders, looks like this fool will be my first (of I'm sure many).
