A college student was selling her former roommate's stuff. I can't believe he told her to throw all his stuff away! Bought this for $100 with all figures. No box or manual though. Definitely worth it. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk8 points

I got a sealed (in a decent condition box, similar to pic) 4481 for $100 on FBM...had to drive 35 minutes...but it was a nice canyon drive passing two reservoirs other than it being a good price (not a steal or anything) I am not sure why I got it. it's kinda nice that its a pushtab box (so less chance of tampering and seals going bad later, I guess)...I find myself eyeing certain older sealed sets to add to my personal collection4 points

I think there's a lot of fear mongering going on trying to make people afraid. When I go out and do stuff (I have mostly been going about my life as it was pre-covid for months now), I don't think about the delta variant of COVID. If I get it, I get it, but no sense in worrying about it and upending my life over it. Everyone can do whatever they feel is best for them, but I'm going to keep living my life. I refuse to live in fear over something that may or may not happen.1 point

the third dose has been being looked into just of recent in immunocompromised. No full recommendation or guidelines have been put in place. They just started testing a 3rd recently as most immunocompromised weren't showing any antibody responses. Some people showed a boost some didn't. They were never tested on immunocompromised in the trials to begin with. Not one doctor in my personal ongoing saga has said one thing or the other about what I should do. Still running low cd4 and lymphocytes, little higher than before but not much. Asked one doctor if the low cd4 actually mean I really do have that low of immunity or whether the numbers come back low being out of whack. Said in my situation seeing I don't show any signs of sickness from small colds to other minor things he probably thinks my immune system is ok just the body doesn't know what it is really doing to an effect. Said most people whose immunity is really that low would have some sort of sicknesses frequently if really that bad of an immune system. Had a 2nd opinion yesterday with my original neurologist and he is not convinced it is Neurosarcoidosis. Said usually something will show on the brain scans and would have more polyps in the sinuses as well as the headaches I had back early on. Sent off to Mayo Clinic for an econsult that they do with Wellstar hospitals to get a 3rd opinion on it. They still haven't prescribed anything other than the Keppra. No prednisone yet. He did say to go ahead with the rheumatologist appt and see what they say. They mentioned remicade for treating the flare ups but he is not for that seeing I have no flare ups and usually prednisone in his opinion for 4 weeks would knock most of it out. Pulmonologist did order a heart MRI as he saw something unusual on the PET scan and wants to verify nothing being affected there from the sarcoidosis. If the heart is fine won't see him again as even though I have sarcoidosis I have no pulmonary issues from it. So basically I just stay at home or warehouse as usual in my little bubble.1 point

So now, maybe in 10 years or so, they'll learn about proper proportions - and not to shove so much paper into the box (crushing it that way instead).1 point

it’s only available for contributing members and/or with a paid membership But cute avatar1 point

I received my first package from LEGO packed with paper. Sooooooooo much better than constantly overstuffing the shipping box with air pillows and crushing the LEGO boxes. I really wonder if LEGO changed this due to customer complaints or if they changed due to some other reason. Anyway, if they changed due to customer complaints, it fracking took them long enough! Years!1 point

Delta variant appears to have been 1000x more virus present in those infected than with previous strains. This is according to our state infections disease doc and several studies. Break through infections are happening at increasingly higher rates in those vaccinated because the amount of virus coming into contact with people are overwhelming their immune system and not giving their bodies enough time to respond. Normal, non filtered clothe masks are ineffective because of the volume of virus present. N95 may be effective if properly worn (how many people have you seen letting it drape below their nose or neck?) Those 65+ or have compromised immune systems will need a third dose of mRNA Moderna or Pfizer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Bought a complete 7740 off a friend for 200 EUR recently. I remember looking at catalogs for hours as a kid, always admiring this set. Only problem with this purchase is that the set is now at my parents’ house. Need to wait until there is a need for a trip across the ocean to pick it up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

First one was amazing. This one looks sad, but many new sets seem to be facades with so few pieces. But we shall see, I'm sure I'll buy some of these regardless.1 point

Every American child learns about European geography. “I see London, I see France, I see Exciter1’s underpants.” London is clearly some where near Paris. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Many more reviews and down significantly. Kevin Smith is mocking viewers by saying they are being review bombed. My friends say it’s terrible. Hollywood is too caught up in agendas and massaging each other’s egos. The critics are part of the system. They don’t care what the fans want. I’ve never been a fan, it came a couple years after I was getting out of cartoons.1 point

You live too close to it. I have some friends living in the Bay area who avoid SF unless they are hosting visitors. I drove there when I visited and I understood why. Driving through either one of those bridges was a nightmare during the long peak hours. But for people who only see the city through old shows like Full House, SF is a destination. They want to experience what they see on TV, even though those were mostly exterior shots and the inside of the house was shot on a sound stage near LA. Some people also go to SF to see Chinatown and Japantown. I guess not too many know there are a bunch of similar stores and restaurants in San Jose area. Personally, SF is a once and done thing. I drove the crooked narrow road thing and ate at In-n-Out by the Pier once. You can keep the traffics and all of the 45 degrees slope roads1 point

really? You're the 2nd person in the last month who mentioned the show and wanting to see the house...I mean it was an OK show but it's not like people would go to NYC to see Central Perk...I mean it's NYC w/ like a thousand more interesting things than that. I mean don't get me wrong...if I visited SF ( as an outsider) I would drive 4 hours to Yosemite first, return; then drive 4 hours to Tahoe...maybe drive 2 hours to Pebble Beach...(maybe if I was desperate go visit oneknighter see how his deck is coming along) but going to touristy spots IN SF would be the last thing: parking $35+ lines, crowds, homeless, and traffic. no thanks1 point

Hollywood? 😂 it’s a complete **** hole with nothing there other than some tiles. SF is an amazing place, do they really not do the inside tours anymore. Threw up for the whole ferry crossing both ways 🤮😂1 point

my wife was far from a "power user" and the battery didn't last a full day its selling point is the graphics...if that's not a high priority I think when I read reviews, there are settings to reduce the video quality to prolong battery life. $500 is not bad, but I have a feeling it's going to go on sale for that (to the masses) in the fall. It's light, very sleek, and lit keyboards is a nice touch...very responsive w/ an i5 and 8 gig ram...can't get anything close to that for less than $7001 point

SF is special in that it's one of the most well known worldwide yet smallest in terms of population and land mass; but honestly...I don't think of it as a "Destination City"...seriously; a pretty bridge, a crooked road and some decent chocolate? Why do people travel thousands of miles to come here?1 point

Is it though? If someone asked me that question London isn't even in the top 5 1. Paris 2. Rome 3. New York 4. Tokyo 5. Los Angeles / Hollywood1 point

worthless. been saying this since first announced. Lego doubled down on stupid after seeing how bad hidden side did. and that was WITH very cool HS sets. Apparently HR over in Billibund mixed up the pink slips and promotions for the HS group. Cant understand why they wont bring back castles but are willing to spend millions on this unasked for loser of a theme1 point

Sold my 10123 Cloud City for £2K. Bought 2 years ago for £1K. Shame to let it go , but wanted to free up some cash flow for future purchases.Had to make a wooden shipping case for it though as no-one could make an acrylic case for under £140 in UK to use in packing process.1 point

Well I guess you guys are mixing not educated and stupid. They might corelate to a certain degree, but are not the same thing. Because I didnt know much about geography at all, I took the time to learn the location and capital of every country. Of course with time it gets hard to remember everything, especially africa and eastern Europe.1 point

I thought it was well known that the majority of Americans are clueless about geography? This is why we have an event called the World Series that only involves baseball teams from the US 🦆1 point
