Flew through 10 Sydney skylines (21032) in a week at $115 each. Buy in was about 30-35% off, netted about 350% returns after fees.6 points

A college student was selling her former roommate's stuff. I can't believe he told her to throw all his stuff away! Bought this for $100 with all figures. No box or manual though. Definitely worth it. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk5 points

worthless. been saying this since first announced. Lego doubled down on stupid after seeing how bad hidden side did. and that was WITH very cool HS sets. Apparently HR over in Billibund mixed up the pink slips and promotions for the HS group. Cant understand why they wont bring back castles but are willing to spend millions on this unasked for loser of a theme4 points

Hell of an ROI on those. Although I still see CL postings for some of those sets. I think I was close to 100 Doctor Who Cybermen/Dalek sets because I wanted to create an army. Down to 10 or so now - because they were moving at a good clip last summer.3 points

Sold my 10123 Cloud City for £2K. Bought 2 years ago for £1K. Shame to let it go , but wanted to free up some cash flow for future purchases.Had to make a wooden shipping case for it though as no-one could make an acrylic case for under £140 in UK to use in packing process.3 points

Exhibit #1: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_Down_(sandwich) Maybe not geography related, but it's hard to argue that the country that came up with that culinary atrocity has its wits about it. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk3 points

I could never do FBM as a regular thing. Lost products wouldnt make up for my labor, communication, hassle, etc. I just chalk missing items up to cost of doing biz. Now if I had full time employees that could change things. At least I know it has for some whales. Never ran those numbers but I’m sure at some point it works — especially if you are selling across multiple mediums.3 points

Today, while looking for pizza, I stumbled upon a LEGO store in... Salt Lake City Airport I travel a lot in the summer but have never seen this. Anyone else? The employee said they opened in December 2020 and they are the first store in an airport. I haven’t done the research yet to confirm or deny. They had nothing exclusive but said they’re trying to bring a ski resort set out of retirement. The strangest thing was how many big sets they had. Coliseum, Disney Castle, Harley Davidson, Typewriter, etc. I always bring home something for the kids when I travel, and grabbing a LEGO set before I head home would be a cool option. But who would impulse buy a Coliseum? It seemed like they try to do a Disney move which is get the impulse buy then offer to ship it wherever you’re going. Anyway, thought I’d share a cool find.3 points

Nobody: Lego: YOU WANT THESE MINIFIGS THAT INTERACT WITH AN APP ON YOUR PHONE WITH MUSIC NO ONE HAS HEARD TO MAKE VIDEOS NO ONE CAN SEE???2 points

Keeping inventory boxed and ready to go helps a ton with fbm. It's just printing labels at that point. The only downside is it takes more shelf space when everything is boxed.2 points

Nope. I actually meant “stupid” and not “uneducated” or “ignorant.” Your statement is a bit presumptuous. Those three words have vastly different meanings. You are right that people often mix them up, but that’s not what’s happening here. For instance, I’ve spent a good deal of time in academia and am well acquainted with some highly educated, yet very stupid people. I’ve also known some very smart and uneducated people. You’re also not taking into account multiple intelligences or aptitude. This is a much deeper subject than a Lego forum can handle. I was simply adding to the conversation with a joke and a funny clip.2 points

I do fbm with a professional plan that way I have more control over my shipping plan and I ship more that 40 orders a month . I stopped doing SFP a while back after amazon changed the way promised delivery dates are calculated . Sometime I do compete with then BB , other times I don’t but still get the sales . It works for me with what I sell and I still move a lot of product . I’ll do fba during Christmas to move small sets in quantities but other than that I don’t see it as an advantage for me , at least in the time being .1 point

These are either going to rocket to the moon like Hidden Side final wave, or be so obscure that no one knows about them and end up worthless. Place your bets folks1 point

Well, that didn't last long . . . Promobricks is reporting the following rumor (nothing confirmed as of yet) that Vidiyo is done after half a year. Imagine the amount of $$$ that LEGO poured into the app. Jesus. Tiles will be worthless soon as the app depreciates. Figures will have a somewhat cool factor for a bit, but not at $20. https://www.promobricks.de/lego-vidiyo-wird-eingestellt/127968/1 point

I thought it was well known that the majority of Americans are clueless about geography? This is why we have an event called the World Series that only involves baseball teams from the US 🦆1 point

Drove about 2000 miles for vacation. The most exciting part was finding Costcos so I could fill up for 25 cents less per gallon than everybody else1 point

We just returned home from Universal Studios Florida. As others have said, plan, plan, plan... We almost got caught because we didn't realize the reservation program for restaurants was not on the app but only available through the website. That is a poor design. Two must do rides: 1) Hagrid's Motorbike and definitely the 2) Velocicoaster (70 mph (twice - from inside box structures) and a 80 degree drop after the second "launch"). This is not my video, but it gives you a good impression of the Velocicoaster if you have not been there. I confess I could not stop laughing the whole ride (all three times). After the second launch, there are at least three times when you feel like you're going to fall out of your seat.1 point
