  1. Now we need some sort of a promotional 2-pack of George's parents. Gotta have a Jerry Stiller minifig!

  2. I hope that LEGO does something half decent with the packaging, etc. Last time, Bricklink went all out extreme deluxe - This time it sounds as if we might be getting a giant bag of loose LEGO pieces (no box, no instructions, no # bags, no nothing). But I guess it would give the baby mob more reasons to cry out about their unjust pain and suffering.

  4. I wonder if these are the same people that during the shutdown would ask me on my FBM listings if I could build the set for them.

  5. $5 in my local WM. Allegedly (according to the WM app) there are 2 more left, but couldn't find them after a quick run around the electronics aisle. This one had been dumped on a shelf in the LEGO aisle.

  6. He had a Mac SE and then a Mac Classic, and then an Apple PowerBook DuoDock, and then a 20th Anniversary Mac till the end.

  7. Not looking to rehash (I've suffered enough) - In short (or not so short), I purchased an old christmas train set from the seller, the connector wires to connect to the live tracks (which were said to work perfectly) were completely frayed, and not functioning. After a back & forth, partial refund suggestion, they didn't follow through. I opened a return request, needed to escalate, and returned it. They received it, ending up insisting that i either "accidently" switched them with another set (in which case, could I send the good ones back to them), or I did so on purpose (which would require them to open a case against me for fraud). I tried to explain that the plastic casing on the old wires become brittle and crumble very easily, and must have done so in transit (the box was filled with the broken wire casings), but they refused to accept that as a possibility (and would not stop accusing me).

  9. Well, that was quick. No longer a rumor: Coming August 1: 40481 Cockatiel (#135) and Chick (#136) 40480 Ginger Tabby (#133) and Kitten (#134) 40482 Hamster (#137) and Baby Hamster (#138) That leaves us with just two unaccounted for at the moment - #149 and #150.

  13. I don't often leave negative feedback - but when someone is so off the rails, I sometimes feel I have no choice. ebay has just removed my negative feedback, and then when questioned regarding it, admitted that it was removed in error (and this isn't the first time this has happened with a negative I have left) - and there is apparently nothing that can get it put back, once it is removed. I only wish that I had such luck in getting the occasional negative to disappear.

  14. My thought is a set of printed instructions will be available (somewhere) within about two minutes of their release.

  15. Relax? I would be more concerned with the pending announcement and something like: due to the popularity of the Castle set we have decided to make this a regular Ideas release or the fan vote anniversary release. Let’s just wait and see beyond our control I read that they will be using the existing instructions app, which on the ipad is pretty good at color replication and element placement location. You would scan the QR code on the set packaging, whatever that ends up being, and it loads the instructions. If they do go this route then anyone could share the QR code. As far as future proofing I am 100% sure the instructions will be scanned into PDF format and be available on the internet within a week of the set being shipped.

  17. I shipped LEGO to a Michael Tyson in Vegas once. Probably just someone named after him. And lots of humorous ebay usernames. Apologies for going off topic

  18. Nope, I actually built a Disney Castle for a pediatricians office. Also, had others wanting to know if used sets could be shipped built.
