A father drove 5+ hours to me to buy a 10188 Death Star for $500 for his soon to be 7 year old son. I threw in 30278 POE X-Wing poly and a 30275 TIE Advanced Prototype poly with it. What a dad! Kid's going to be psyched.6 points

A nice (knock on wood) development. Ever since Amazon updated their FBA flow I haven't had to send inventory into more than a single warehouse for the past four shipments. Yay! Like clockwork, the minute my units arrive ALL of them go into FC transfer. The last box had eight units and not one went to the receiving warehouse. I'm really hope that they don't revert to requiring FBA sellers send into multiple warehouses. That was a huge pain in the rear.2 points

With Disney it just depends on your kids. When we went my boys were 6 and 4 so that eliminated some rides for height restrictions and they were not interested in any princess stuff. Their favorite ride was Buzz Lightyear which we got on twice. They also got to meet Buzz which was cool. That and the parade and fireworks made the one day we were there “magical”. I want to go back again before they get too old after Tron opens and to ride Space Mountain. And of course the Star Wars experiences.2 points

Everyone who liked his original comment will not agree with your premise that our media is more devoted to fact based reporting. They are each driven by agenda based reporting, not facts. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk2 points

Good advice. It will increase the chance of shipping in a box to about 75%.. My calculator broke trying to calculate the percentage for "proper" when it comes to Amazon 🤣1 point

Checking the 'this item is a gift' box on amazon should get everything boxed proper.1 point

In the last year, in addition to the retirement plan, I began to monitor the availability in stores and the number of offers from other speculators, well, the retirement period. The lower these indicators are, the higher the chance of making money more profitable and faster, otherwise it will all hang for two years. 75954 judging by all the indicators in the lost, although I took them myself, but I took quite a bit and at good prices. And for example, the set of 75935 in Russia has consistently disappeared from everyone and at the moment there are not so many offers left and new receipts are not expected, so it was possible to invest more in it. Ideas do not inspire confidence with their re-releases at all, unless the Forge and the Pirates of Baracuda with a discount of -50% and then they are not removed yet In Russia, the sets of the Hidden Side series have performed well and I think they will show themselves well in the future, but I have already scrolled P,S, only the buildings and only the school bus have performed well, but other vehicles are in the lost. As it seems to me, 21155 can show well, but the presence of them disappoints. Here you need to look for a "dark horse" that stands quietly on the sidelines and does not attract attention until the moment of rapid and abrupt disappearance (for example, 76103, 70437). P.S. Sorry for my English (Yandex Translate)1 point

I'm okay with that. I can live vicariously through your posts. Your pictures of the beach certainly has brought back some memories and senses. How much I miss the scent of the cold calming ocean breeze caressing my lungs. New park, same problems. I have not been to any amusement theme park since before high school and was wondering how the latest technology would incorporate into everything to make the experience more 'streamlined' or at least better managed. Well the methods changed but the experience continues to be the same. Buy a ticket in advance. Get to the park soon as it opens at the crack of dawn. Trudge through a crowd thick as soup. Wait in line for hours at a chance to actually get on the ride. If successful, ride lasts less than two to three minutes. Repeat step 3 until too tired or hungry or it's closing time. Realize you spent an entire day (and a few paychecks) for maybe two rides. Now to be more negative, anyone trying to get on the most popular attractions (or latest additions) at any theme park within a moderate time-frame to even at all is going to be disappointed. Last and only time I visited Six Flags Magic Mountain in California was around the time Batman The Ride was constructed. One glance at that waiting line and there simply was no bleeping chance at getting on before the sun set. I can somewhat recall waiting markers spaced down the length of the queue with the end one stating "anyone past this point will be waiting 4 hours and (some odd number) minutes" and the line went way past that. Also my mother saw how the floor gave away and riders were going upside down flying all over the place and she was like "f**k that!". Hahaha. Anyhow the dude is upset and I will not discredit his frustration. It is annoying to spend all that cash upfront and still not get to do what they wanted to in the first place. At the same time it really isn't much different now than it was before is it. Also picking the two most popular attractions? Think, John!1 point

I thought this was not about absolute magnitude of truth or fact in various news sources but rather a comparison of truth between news sources. Every source might have an agenda but I care about their relative measure of truth fact based reporting. Are you really saying you trust Chinese state run media as much as associated press, pbs news and fox. Are people really making that argument cause that’s what I’m hearing and I’m almost positive that can be disproven given the right data sets, or time scrubbing news sites. Though we would need to agree on some metric for measuring truth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Oh I heard about his rant. Boo hoo. He’s complaining about how he dropped all this money like it’s chump change to anyone. If I had that kind of dough to drop at DIsneyland I wouldn’t be complaining about it.1 point

It’s mostly business as usual. Mask optional if fully vaccinated. Crowded but not summer crowds - clearly still at 50? 75? % capacity. Everyone has been friendly. Rides have been fun. I haven’t done some of these rides in ages, and some of them are “brand new” (Guardians and Soarin Over the World). The upgraded rides are superior IMO.1 point

It would be great to once and for all see all the members here who think our free and independent news media with many varied outlets is the same as the CCP mouthpiece, so please raise your hands. I stand by my statement which did not say anything about it being wrong to question news no matter who reports it but rather said that anyone who thinks the Chinese state run media is as devoted to fact based reporting as our press is dangerously ignorant. Moderator comment: Let's not spiral this into a multi-page discussion.1 point

100% agree. I was also thinking it would compliment the Fishing Store quite well, but I would still want it to be a tall lighthouse. Maybe they will take inspiration from this:1 point

The simple fact that we have varied and independent news sources spanning from fox to vox proves how ignorant a statement this is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Signed my boy up for his first travel ice hockey team. Time and money commitment, but the level of effort and dedication this 9 year old has shown this week makes it worth it. Guess I better get selling more LEGO.1 point

Another surf day today. Ice hockey this afternoon, too. Low tide right now, and “May Gray/June Gloom” But I’m sitting on the beach, practicing my ukulele, my son is having fun, and I’m spending a little time thinking about those that have fallen that allow me to enjoy this.1 point

My kids decided a few weeks ago they wanted to learn to surf. So I took my 9 year old out today. Both kids have gone about 1-2 times a week for the last month.1 point

I built the primary build of 31109 3-in-1 Pirate Ship. What a fun build! It had me guessing the whole way through. The engineering of the set is top notch. I love the way it is constructed. It surprised me that the bags were numbered 1 through 9. I rather enjoyed the bagged piece approach for the primary build. I’m looking forward to building the other two builds. My eventual goal is to put this as the center piece of a MOC roller coaster, using two Pirate Coasters for the surrounding elements. I have the track laid out. Now I need to test place the ship and start plotting how it’s all going to work. Here are the pics!1 point

Well, given that there have been at least 4 different Hogwarts Castle sets of the same general variety and 4 different Hogwarts Express, I do think that there is some past performance that we can look to here. Now, I'm sure you'll say "Well, yes, but those all had at least 1 year in between releases." And my response would be "Sure, but what difference does that make? Why would the gap in between the sets be the critical factor in whether they perform well or not?" I admittedly haven't been paying much attention to the HP sets over the last few months so I may have missed something, but if the "overall better set" that you're referring to is the Great Hall & Chamber of Secrets set, you're not talking about the same set at all.1 point

Got around to finishing this. What a classic. The red brown pieces though are painfully brittle. I got some replacements from Lego though.1 point
