Another surf day today. Ice hockey this afternoon, too. Low tide right now, and “May Gray/June Gloom” But I’m sitting on the beach, practicing my ukulele, my son is having fun, and I’m spending a little time thinking about those that have fallen that allow me to enjoy this.

I was in your position about a year ago. After doing my research, I decided to BrickLink CC, MS, & GG. I’m very happy with the outcomes (See attached photos). I did make some judicious substitutions an astute observer will notice but I’d say they’re 95% accurate to the original designs. I then took them a step further and made custom interiors for each. For Grand Emporium, Town Hall and Fire Brigade, I got mostly complete copies from eBay - From my experience, it pays to be patient and buy something that looks like it’s in good (complete) condition but be prepared to complete a few odds and ends from BrickLink once you tear down and inventory the sets. My kids decided a few weeks ago they wanted to learn to surf. So I took my 9 year old out today. Both kids have gone about 1-2 times a week for the last month.

Guess I'm the only one who kind of likes it. I'm trying to envision it as if its on the wall and I'm across the room. In that scenario it might look like a really nice piece of art. Not necessarily a perfect world map.
