  1. For FedEx I am unsure, but USPS was scammed so heavily during Covid last summer that the process is pretty simple to verify evidence that you shipped something vs. nothing. Contact your local post office’s post master and explain what is going on. Ask them for a copy of the Intranet Tracking Report showing what the item weighed each time that it was scanned at each location. In addition you can request a copy of Postal Form 3811-a if the buyer claims wrong address or miss delivery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Here's what matters in my sliver of the world. I have a son, or at least I think I do. He was born a boy and he's a manly boy playing with trucks, trains, monster trucks, and things like that. It's 7am and he's playing with my LEGO trains; he chose a 10194/10233/60051/60052 hybrid today. He's not interested in dolls, although I walk down the doll rows in the toy store everytime we go, in case he wants one, and to encourage diversity. I dress him in bold colours whenever I can, because I'm a male, and I look great in pinks, pastels, paisley, etc. That's particularly hard for a toddler because all the colours are blah, and traditionally "girlish" colours are girl cuts, or frilly, so that doesn't work as well. People ask and I say he's a boy, but he can be whatever gender he wants (best if he picks one). The only thing that really matters is a person's individual happiness and why the F (big caps) do I care what makes someone else happy. Sure, one-hundredth of one-thousandth could take advantage of the situation, but the same percentage blow up synogogues, mass murder people in Vegas, other serious crimes, etc. The same percentage of the world are supposedly evil, however, society doesn't really do anything to sort out those issues, or deal with basic human rights. Yet how dare anyone not be male or female, because they'll corrupt everyone else, as if it were a virus. Special interest groups on both sides are overbearing, and actually ruin their arguments, when valid. Reminds me of a Simpsons episode? "Are these morons getting louder or dumber?" "Dumber, sir." It seems to me that LEGO is trying to be inclusive, and make money at the same time. Good for them and "in for three", as we used to say, in simpler times. Yay LEGO!

  11. You should go through Ebay sold listings for the sets and calculate how much they've sold for recently, add that up, deduct selling fees and see where you land. When I was buying bulk lots, I wouldn't touch anything where that number wasn't 3X what I would be paying for the lot. It looks like you'd probably have some bulk and other stuff to sell, but the sets will be easiest to move and is where you'll make your money. If you've got time to burn, the dollars work out, and you have the disposable capital to put into it, it wouldn't not make sense to do it...it looks like the seller has already done a lot of sorting for you...but that's a s***load of work and you should be absolutely sure that you're prepared to put in the time and follow through all the way through the selling end of it. Lots like that always seem a lot easier on this side of the deal than they do when you have all of that Lego sitting in your garage/bonus room/etc. and you actually have to deal with sorting it out, inventorying the sets, etc. Dealing with really large lots can be a colossal PIA if you don't have a physical workspace that is conducive to dealing with really large lots, the patience, and attention span needed to prep that much to sell. But if you have the time, money, patience, and hustle to get into selling Lego and stick with it, it can be very lucrative. I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought my first used lot 15 years ago for $900, but that was the best purchase I've ever made given where the path that it started me on has led to. 12. Lots of stuff on sale on amazon uk, but the prices drop and go up in a hurry. Also for some reason, one moment they are ok to ship to Switzerland and 5 min later it says they don't deliver. I picked up 3 Ecto-1s for 80quids each with shipping.

  13. Size and weight should matter if you document them as others have noted. I would assume FedEx tracks weight and size carefully along the route so if you have a report showing that the item you dropped off weighed so and so it would be pretty clear that someone either stole the contents or the buyer is scamming you. 14. I hate repeating myself here, but why being vocal support of LGBTQ+ right is a political issue? A social issue, maybe, but should never be a political issue - otherwise you are saying some parts of the political spectrum do not recognize this group has basic rights. Educate me. This set is not about the controversial laws / regulations, which is political (I believe some should not be solved via regulation - it only polarizes the issue more, but should have more education towards recognition of the group). This set is about recognizing and celerating pride month, not even explicitly (otherwise it would be called Pride, which I have no problem with). It is literarily called everyone is awesome. This whole thread (at least past page 1) reminds me of BLM and ALM arguments. But again, even being called "everyone" is awesome, people still not happy.

  15. At 17 you have the money just sitting around to pay for a purchase like this? Damn, I was poor at 17. That'll teach me to be born into poverty. Can you even make a seller account on eBay or Bricklink before age 18? Unless you are wealthy already, you'd be best to have your parents co-sign (remove them when you hit 18) an investment account for you and just stuff it in and let it grow until retirement. With a modest growth of 8%, that 16k turns into $175k by the time you're 50. If you average 10% gains, you have more than $315k. Just set it, and forget it.

  16. 😆 Ever since Lego started licensing Star Wars they have been hypocritical when it comes to the war and weapons issue. The funny thing is that if Lego ever released a church or house of worship building set people such as yourself would lose their ****

  19. Turner Syndrome (X), Trisomy (XXX) and Tetrasomy (XXXX) beg to differ. Furthermore, it is by now very well known that there is more to the sex you identify with than the chromosomes you carry. Yes we can start calling people “X-ers” and “Y-ers”, but you still create super diverse groups doing so where making assumptions about the whole group brushes people under the rug. I am personally quite happy with the current notion that you need to celebrate people for who they are. Live and let live. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  22. If I were to look upon this set as just a build, it is a nicely simple one. However the inclusive message behind the set makes such an opinion irrelevant really. The LEGO Company could have passed over the inclusion of hairstyles making all included minifigures boringly bald but in doing so would have undermined the very statement this set is supporting. Particular hairstyles and colours have typically or habitually been seen or classified as either masculine or feminine for the longest time. As society goes on we are slowly stepping away from that "ole world thinking". And if not then we need to be. Honestly I love this set, the minifigures and what it all stands for. I praise the LEGO Company for openly supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and working towards a diverse workplace with Stonewall, Workplace Pride, and Open For Business.
