But it's only worth having one, if people are upset about not getting one.4 points

Managed to get one, no issues compared to missing out on the space probe. I don't think lego can actually win with VIP. Before they tried unannounced drops and people complained. They now tried advertising in advance and people still complaining. I think you just need to accept that you missed out, unless lego just does not do "VIP" gifts anymore or follows the limited shoe releases and just does raffles.3 points

I'm shocked I was able to get it just now without the website crashing. Felt weird not to have to frantically refresh a hundred times...2 points

banks mainly play games with the wires, some small banks still take the next day or use the excuse. Mine go through in 5-10 minutes tops to a few banks. Some other big banks process at like 12 and won't have it process before that even if you do it at 9. Online wires have been a savior, few banks do special business things for volume wires and can automate it all without needing approvals too which is nice now. Used to suck going into a branch and waiting 20 min to get a rep to do a damn wire lol.2 points

I found the website snappy and not bogged down this time. A refreshing change. Got the coin and bought something to redeem it. The sale went through too, instead of not letting me pay. That felt nice as well.1 point

Finally sold my last 75102 Poe's X-Wing, for €97. Good riddance of this set collecting dust on my shelves for years. Had expected it to do better because of the unique colour livery. Oh well. Also sold another non-seller (70916, The Batwing from the Lego Batman movie), for 69 Euro. Good thing I had bought it at 50% off (€50).1 point

Sure. At midnight the world will go on lego's website, it will crash, and we will all be pressing F5 to refresh until 3am. Once we get it working, the coin will be gone and everyone will be whining on Facebook.1 point

We are at $14,500.00, which is fantastic!!! I would like to thank Evans from West End Toys for a generous donation (Even though he said not to say anything!).1 point

Ha, you make it sound like i'm not a grown ass man who knows the difference between money and sport money. Seriously, to everyone out there... If you don't have a fully funded retirement account for your age, and 6 months of your cash burn in savings, Don't put your money into speculative investments. But for those of you with those boxes checked, you would be silly not to look around for opportunities to 10x.1 point

I pulled the trigger on an eBay listing for 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle that was up for ~£119 inc. delivery. No figures or instructions visible, but as it happens I snagged a set of instructions cheaply (~£28) a couple of years ago just in case such a listing appeared. One of the pics was also detailed enough to tell that it was proper Lego and not bogus bricks. It just arrived, and looks like I lucked out here. No sign of discoloration, stickers all seem to be here, and there was even the Luke figure (albeit with the wrong hair). I have the correct hair piece, as well as the correct stormtrooper and most of the Vader figure too (just missing the right head). Looks like for less than £20 I'll have the full set of figures, putting me at about £166 for a complete set (though I'm yet to check through every single piece to make sure of that). Very pleased with this - you'd normally be lucky to get one in that condition for less than about £450.1 point

Had that annual buyer who makes me question why I do this... Sold a mixed lot of City Police & Firemen. Pictures had them all jumbled. Made no claim as to how many complete figures. It's perfect for kids because they can mix & match, etc. What collector would buy a mixed up lot of frankenstein City figures? Well, the buyer was irate because the lot had a few more torsos than pants. So irate he would email a curt sentence. Then minutes later email another. I think he did this 8x. Then he demanded a partial refund. I offered him 15% off and assured him that my listing was not meant to mislead and that kids love to mix up figures. He replied that I needed to give him over 40% off for being 'not cool'. Plus he was a Lego investor and recently got over 72 figures for $60. I suggested he return the item which he did because I would not cough up 40% off. Silver lining...he left me positive feedback days before his diatribe. So in his return comments is a diatribe about how eBay should let him leave bad comments because I am cheating and tricking people. Buyer blocked, my rant is over...0 points
