I have had mine for awhile. I have only ever had one problem and it was with a plunger that got stuck. Unwired it and replaced it. Wasnt hard to so and was fairly cheap.4 points

I have a lot still, but I bought a lot to begin with. They have been slow sellers and slow to appreciate until Covid. My first reaction was to dump them now but if the new ones are the Bane version it may make sense to hold for a bit. Either way I'm not worried. The Death Star still rose enough to recover at a decent price.1 point

Because people will pay more for a set when no one else has any left to sell. I hate to sell all of my inventory - it's usually a sign that I sold too low.1 point

I’m not a financial advisor but Fidelity + VOO or VTI is a solid combo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Thats a great plan, thanks for the response. I'm not a TikTok shamer, the opposit actually. It has very good uses and just like any technology, not so good uses. I was genuinely curious as to your plan. I just saw youtube announced plans for a tiktok like platform called youtube shorts. And they created a $100m fund to pay creators. Might be time to make the jump straight to Youtube shorts. Also goes to show the big players are threatened by Tiktok & the number of users, b/c they are staggering. https://www.theverge.com/2021/5/11/22429350/youtube-shorts-fund-video-payments-tiktok-competitor1 point

I think that camo one is legit and, frankly, will drive the black one's value up significantly. Many folks are going to want both!1 point

If you have a Roth IRA, play in it. If you don't have a Roth IRA, open one. You can play with your money there without worrying about yearly tax repercussions. https://www.investopedia.com/how-roth-ira-taxes-work-47699881 point

I sold last of mine off last year but these were real slow to appreciate so thats probly why ppl still have left1 point

Still had 2 of them. Sold one quickly for 390 Euro. I'll hold on to the other one now that I saw this pic in the D2C Exclusives List topic: If the new Tumbler is that one, the all black Tumbler will keep its value most likely.1 point

Born in 1984 didnt see star wars movies until the remastered vhs trilogy in 1996. I watched the spaceballs vhs hundreds of times before I ever saw a star wars movie so I did not get all the satire but i loved the comedy. Great movie1 point

This may sound strange but looking back, Spaceballs defined my childhood more than anything else even Star Wars. For a comedy parodying the aforementioned Star Wars to classic Buck Rogers, the movie also did its own thing. The amount of lines and complete scenes quotable from this science-fiction satire is ludicrous. (There's also a Doom community mod put together recently as last year for anyone curious.) Chances of approval are up in the air then again LEGO Simpsons was a far flung fantasy a long time ago.1 point

I got it to. I feel like this is the reseller equivalent of surviving the some horror movie. Gotta thank eBay for that customized certificate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I like it but it does need the back to open and expose the hyperspace engines.1 point

I do know there are always maintenance issues. But, one for the home that is treated well will likely have many less issues.1 point

Thanks! It's been a helluva climb so far. Current plan is to keep posting & continue the growth. Stop motion can take a lot of time, but I'm able to make enough content in my spare time to post something new almost every day. I'm cracking open the big Harry Potter Castle soon, and think portions of that set will go great with my style of short stop motion builds. I repost most of my content on instagram & have been getting some pretty steady growth over there. If things continue the current overall upward trajectory, I'll probably pivot over to more stuff on youtube. Will also be pinging LEGO on twitter to see about a collaboration soon now that I have some pretty healthy growth and engagement stats to share. TikTok gets a lot of hate, but if you have any hobbies, there are hundreds of other people posting about them on there. The algorithm is scary good at showing you stuff that you like once you start using the app. The LEGO community is pretty massive on there too. I constantly recommend the app to friends and family. It's evolved way past just dancing / lip synch videos.1 point

The 3-in-1 pirate ship wasn't interesting enough for him, and Barracuda bay didn't look like a pirate ship... so he dug into the closet and decided we are building "houses" now. I haven't built anything in my backlog a couple years. Now I walk into the house after work and I'm told that I need to build things. Next he picked out the "grocery store"1 point
