The most amazing part about this is that you actually have LEGO buddies in real-life and not just on a computer screen.8 points

Final build from Changing Seasons. This is the "advanced" model, which is the summertime home. I think there were about 10 extra pieces when this was done. I'm always amazed at how they engineer these 3-in-1s. Now to tear it apart, and put the set into the Halloween Town bucket(s) for my eventual haunted town setup.4 points

Target seems to have an additional 10% off select sets... I see 45 or so, some were already on sale bringing them between 25%/30% off. https://www.target.com/b/lego/-/N-56h5nZj48k8Zakkos?type=products&Nao=0 LEGO City Diving Yacht 60221 LEGO City Monster Truck Building Set 60251 LEGO City Mail Plane Building Set 60250 Are a few sets in that 25%-30% window, there were a couple others on quick scan. This is before RedCard discount as well.3 points

So those match up with all the rumors I've been hearing. The only one I haven't heard is the Jar Jar one, so I take that one with a little grain of salt. Keep in mind, tho, that Brickheadz #150 was a fan vote, and Star Wars was the winner. So it might be some sick joke / payback to the fans for picking that over Stitch and Jaws, lol.3 points

Deep DEEP spring cleaning led by my better half...so basically a minute by minute indictment of the honey-do list I have neglected for years...and every nook and crannie she looks into has LEGO in them. Just shoot me now.2 points

I always thought a mall set would be great, but it would have to come with the big season 3 monster....and I just don't see Lego making that big, ugly thing...1 point

Im getting ready to move aswell. My plan is to send as much as I can in to Amazon to free up space then have a local garage sale to thin out even more and then finally put everything into storage until I get my new building up and ready.1 point

My condolences. haha I still remember when we moved out of our last place about four years ago. I sold about $8000 worth of Lego in preparation for it, so that my wife wouldn't see how many sets I had in storage. When we finally moved, she was still shocked at how many sets I had. If only she knew.1 point

its not a sign of increasing acceptance imo- since seller only accepts bitcoin he clearly is just trying to make a statement or spur on more usage of bitcoin. If he just felt bitcoin was something ppl would want to pay with he would take all forms of payment.1 point

I’d accept it, no one has offered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Here's some interesting news about Gina Carano. Maybe she will be in the set just to avoid further issues. https://screenrant.com/mandalorian-season-2-emmy-campaign-gina-carano-lucasfilm/1 point

The only "scenes" I can think of are: 1) the room with the Russian "laser" trying to open the upside down or 2) the mall since much of the movie took place in the mall, especially the final battle.1 point

With Crypto and stocks keeping your investments and your speculations separate and defined is very important. The bulk of what you do should be sound investments with "a reasonable expectation of return in the future." And you keep your speculations to a small portion (for me, 5% of my investment budget gets allocated to speculations). Speculations are just gambling by another name, and that is fine, assuming you keep that controlled and in perspective. People like to hear about the dramatic wins but for every win you hear there are 19 heavy losses you don't hear. Don't let your emotions, FOMO, or rashness cause you to make a mistake, hence the strict budgeting.1 point

I believe the reason for The Office not getting a set (yet) is more about logistic. The actual show was taped in much bigger area (warehouse) than BBT & Friends (a studio stage). Each LEGO set is an iconic location for BBT (apartment) & Friends (Central Perk). There is no such thing for the Office. The set was designed like real office location and did not really have a place for the whole cast to hang together frequently. You can say Mike/Dwight's office was iconic, but the casts never hang together in that office, because it was too small to fit 9+ people. LEGO would need to re-create the whole office space to do it justice, ie. the set will be expensive. This is why I am excited to see this new Friends set. LEGO is not shy about creating a $120 set based on 2 studio stages, meaning there is hope they would create an even larger set to do the Office justice. Meh on Frasier. The real tragedy is we do not have a set for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Now this is a story all about how....)1 point

Just 1 question: can Monica minifig wear the turkey on her head ? LEGO did well on this set. Now I am pretty sure that big the Office set will be approved for Ideas. 🤞1 point

Have they even contacted you? Sometimes you have to take that first step even if you feel like the ball is in their court.1 point

So we just finished up our SPS class contest for the "Mystery" lots. We ended up collecting over 40,000 bricks!!! I will be adding another "Mystery" lot prize and will probably add a "BONUS" set or two to each of the other prizes. That will make 16 potential prizes.1 point

I had a score at the local thrift store last week. Long sentimental story ahead. I moved to Japan a few years ago it's been rough not being able to see my family due to Covid. My mother, who always enabled my LEGO addiction, has been taking me to Lego clearance since I was 10 years old. She doesn't know much about Lego but she loves hunting, scanning and only occasionally stashing sets through the aisles. 2020 was the first year we couldn't do that together, and it hit me really hard. On top of that, Lego is really expensive in Japan. REALLY expensive. There's no logic to it, but the smaller sets are usually less accessible than the more expensive ones. I've stockpiled a lot of good US online deals (per you guys) but I've just had to ship them to my parents and hope one day the pandemic ends to build them. So last week, I bike to the thrift store. Japanese thrift stores are great because they take care of their stuff, but they're expensive as all get out. Only like 10-30% cheaper than retail. I don't have much money since I'm just stopping in for Pokemon stuff for my friend. I'm browsing and see a crate on the floor. There is a sealed bag of bricks sticking out, and my LEGO alarm explodes. I pick it up. The entire crate is full of sets. Almost all the Overwatch sets, the entirety of Mario's first wave, the Ninjago set with Akita, a Friends set with a pink narwhal. Knowing Japanese kids, every set seems 100% complete (the extra pieces are even in a small zip in each bag). I am beyond excited. I tally it up. It's a lot but I can do it. It'll fit it in my bike basket. I think. Yeah, my balance is good enough. Wait. WAIT. I don't have enough cash. I had to hobble over to the counter, the only foreigner in either the store or rural Japan, with a year's supply of LEGOs. In my childish Japanese, I have a one-sided toddler conversation with the cashier. It's mostly grunting and pleading with my eyes. She just nods along to my sentences, which scares me that I'm making zero sense. "ATM money machine have here?" "Me cross street, get money from magic money box, okay?" "Watchy watchy Lego pwease? No sell other to manchildren, pwease?" I hand the entire stash over the counter, pray to God she understood me and book it. I jaywalk across the street because I gotta there before the ATM closes (yes, that's a thing in Japan). I am almost hit by a car but I must survive. I dash back, sweaty and war-torn. Every other Japanese person is looking at the deranged foreign animal, grunting and chanting BRICKS BRICKS BRICKS. I seize my prize from behind the counter and fling the cash over, texting my mom that I need to call her and tell her the good news. She thinks I have gotten engaged. I tell her it's better than that. All in all, I paid about 200 for everything. I know that these prices are not great by American standards but this would be at least 1000 dollars worth of LEGO if purchased new in Japan (and that's pretty much the only way to get it here). Now I can build and play and wonder how to get it all back to the states.1 point

LEGO wants a to capitalize on pop culture nostalgia when they have this perfect LEGO nostalgia things like this that will take 35-40 year olds back to being a kid and would be a big hit IMO as a re release LEGO classic space castle pirates etc. adults would be building space police blacktron black falcon and forestmen armies1 point
