I checked the Adam and Eve website and didn't see it anywhere. Placed an order anyways9 points

I definitely prefer this scale to the big one. I never had a desire to build the big one with all the white pieces. I feel the same about The Colosseum.4 points

The 1x1 tile floor makes this a no go for me. It will be too tedious to have proper alignment.2 points

Built the quick build for 31038 Changing Seasons. This one will go in the Winter Village eventually. On to the medium build!1 point

I agree, I went through sold old early 90s sets and the builds are fun (the instructions aren't). A lot of more modern sets are more like work and less like toys. I don't care for a billion little details (modulars), just make me a big building. I also agree the GBHQ is a great example of a good brick build and still some detail. Yay LEGO!1 point

with the coin delay my guess is they are manufacturing a boat load more of the last coin and only the last coin and will post it in a month or two1 point

As I have gotten older I have found the closer the set is to Duplo the more enjoyable the build is for me. The overall trend to smaller pieces is not for me, although it can make a neat looking set like Pooh. The new R2 has over 200 more elements than the old version but weighs less when built. I think the peak for brick built sets was hit with GBHQ.1 point

Back like 10 or so years ago, I used to get gifts for friends that became new parents 1 share of Disney stock on a nice piece of paper and framed. (Obviously it was probably a little cheaper then) But I think regardless of volatility or what may or may not happen, $50 in Bitcoin is a great way to start off. Might actually be beneficial to be volatile to teach a lesson in price fluctuations as time goes on. Maybe even spread out a few bucks here and there to other crypto to make it look like a little portfolio.1 point

Ditto. I haven’t seen the show yet, so can’t comment on the accuracy of the ship, but it just seems like it’s not quite finished. It’s a pretty cool design and I like the sand blue for something different. I agree that the speeders seem to be a bit of a waste of parts for this set. Lego could have made a larger shuttle for a little more money with 3 of the main characters and then sold a $30 set with the speeders and the other two characters. All of that would make a much more complete scene for display or for play.1 point

Probably...but you never know. I can always opt to sell it for a small profit over holidays locally when its OOS at LEGO...double VIP and GWP are siren call to me1 point

I've read about people doing this so there are others doing it. It's a smart idea! Way better than a college savings plan or the like. I do have one nitpick though ;). There are no such things as crypto "accounts" unless you are talking about a custodial account. They're keys (or you can call the public key an address). That being said, just get a Ledger Nano and transfer the coins to it from an exchange like Kraken or Binance US. Just make sure you don't lose the private key! If you have a Ledger already, just add another account and name it so that you know it's your childs (ironically enough, they call them accounts). Super quick and easy .1 point

Courtesy of Promobricks - 75307 Star Wars Advent Calendar 'Regardless of the leaked list of characters, we can confirm that they will be the following characters: Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper, Tusken Robber, IG-11, the Mandalorian and the Child. The latter two are supposed to be this year's Christmas figures. Both will get an exclusive Christmas torso print after our information. We've also learned some of the mini builds for you. So, of course, there will be the Razor Crest, but also Cobb Vanths Speeder, a TIE Fighter, an X-Wing, a blue Landspeeder, a Tusken Balliste, an E-Web Blaster, an Imperial Troop Transport, Moff Gideon's cruiser and some weapon stands. So you can see: for the first time, the 75307 Star Wars Advent Calendar covers only one theme, in this case The Mandalorian'1 point

Maybe also appropriate for the Walmart Clearance thread, I've been tooling around to various local Walmart stores picking up clearance Hart tools. They are revamping the line for the year bringing in new twice-the-price brushless tools, so I'm finding a little here and a little there marked way down. Initially I just wanted a little inflator and a car washer. But I just kept finding good deals. Even the steel shelving unit was just $21. Now if only I could afford to buy any lumber right now.1 point
