I just bought my first tickets yesterday! I must say there are quite a few really cool bundles this year. This really is such an exciting sweepstakes and fundraiser. Here are a few pictures of the Lego Club at St. Paul's (before Covid)

This video showed up in my feed this morning. Some interesting facts about Discovery. While watching, I kept comparing it to the LEGO version sitting on my desk.

I pulled the trigger on an eBay listing for 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle that was up for ~£119 inc. delivery. No figures or instructions visible, but as it happens I snagged a set of instructions cheaply (~£28) a couple of years ago just in case such a listing appeared. One of the pics was also detailed enough to tell that it was proper Lego and not bogus bricks. It just arrived, and looks like I lucked out here. No sign of discoloration, stickers all seem to be here, and there was even the Luke figure (albeit with the wrong hair). I have the correct hair piece, as well as the correct stormtrooper and most of the Vader figure too (just missing the right head). Looks like for less than £20 I'll have the full set of figures, putting me at about £166 for a complete set (though I'm yet to check through every single piece to make sure of that). Very pleased with this - you'd normally be lucky to get one in that condition for less than about £450.

Getting blocked on Facebook by a seller claiming to have a RARE MIS PRINT Lego 'DARK VADOR' Helmet when I point out that no, it's not a misprint, that's just how it is in French.

I remember so many people making fun and complaining about AoH when it first came out. I didn't buy any because of that. The big question is, would it have done as well if we didn't have to deal with COVID?

Doesn't really work that way. People will say that's a good idea, I won't though. The next crypto bear market won't take 4/5 years to come, I'm thinking more like 4/5 months or 4/5 weeks. If you think Bitcoin will just rallye and crush everything, go ahead. To me it seems like the locomotive has lost its steam a bit. I don't like this double dip here, we were down yesterday & we're down today. If a tweet or an eletric blackout or a crazy billionaire on Twitter is enough to move the markets 10-30%... well... I don't want to spread FUD, but you might wanna watch this before you do anything in this current market time: Not saying it's the end... but crypto moves in waves & this wave right here might be at its breaking point.

About a year and a half ago, the site owners began a redesign. Apparently, life happened and they have not completed it. Early on, they assured us they still had our data and it should have been available a few months ago. I have not really followed on if and when they restore our access to the databases and the various tools will be available again. It's a loss of data for most of us that we did not think we needed to keep duplicate records of for personal use. I to used the sight for several years to track purchases and observe selling trends.

Visited the Hoover Dam!

Spend this morning and part of the afternoon watching the first 14 episodes of season 1 of the Big Bang Theory on HBO Max with my daughter. It was wonderful laughing and talking with her! Watched an eBay auction close just after noon for the Mario Kart 64 box and manual that sold for $62. Decided I did not really need it and saved my money as well as my sanity. I play this game several times a week.

I laughed when this guy dropped the Hubble at the beginning of his video.

Ok, I know he flies a TIE fighter sometimes, but we usually just call him Darth Vader.

This weekend I got home on Friday to another round of "daddy build another pirate ship". So we built 70618 Destiny's Bounty. Picked it up on Mercari for $60, with only bags 1-3 open, to allow me to sell our sealed copy. Missing the stickers, but ordered them on Bricklink this morning. All we have left pirate ship wise is the 3-in-1 creator ship, and Barracuda Bay. I assume they will be on deck soon.

This may be my year to win! Not knowing is part of the fun for sure. I'll be layering my entries in - a little in the beginning a few in the middle and jump in at the end. how can they label it as "Only at Target" when obviously available also at LEgolands? for some reasons these types of things irks me

I ordered a Discovery like that and the shipping box was just the same; torn and barely sealed. I was lucky to have had my Space Coin show up and now missing out of the box. Lego needs to run the boxes through the tape machine more than once or switch to reinforced tape for larger boxes.

Made me think of this picture I saw on one of the Lego Facebook groups I follow.

I am right behind you - I really hate to dismantle the room (It is like a time capsule). Sad - One day they just stopped playing (everything was left right were they were last being played with).
