I pulled the trigger on an eBay listing for 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle that was up for ~£119 inc. delivery. No figures or instructions visible, but as it happens I snagged a set of instructions cheaply (~£28) a couple of years ago just in case such a listing appeared. One of the pics was also detailed enough to tell that it was proper Lego and not bogus bricks. It just arrived, and looks like I lucked out here. No sign of discoloration, stickers all seem to be here, and there was even the Luke figure (albeit with the wrong hair). I have the correct hair piece, as well as the correct stormtrooper and most of the Vader figure too (just missing the right head). Looks like for less than £20 I'll have the full set of figures, putting me at about £166 for a complete set (though I'm yet to check through every single piece to make sure of that). Very pleased with this - you'd normally be lucky to get one in that condition for less than about £450.8 points

I wonder what Don Rickles would say about today's culture. Until things change we won't see something like below ever again. You really have to watch to the end when he says something nice. That is sadly rarely heard today either.6 points

Getting blocked on Facebook by a seller claiming to have a RARE MIS PRINT Lego 'DARK VADOR' Helmet when I point out that no, it's not a misprint, that's just how it is in French.5 points

I think what you are remembering is a time when people were free to find humor in the face of horror (without the fear of being labeled being hateful, insensitive, and in need of being canceled).5 points

I laughed when this guy dropped the Hubble at the beginning of his video.2 points

Its been a while since I tried, but I believe creating listings for LEGO is gated separately from selling. Only trusted(?) partners can create new listings. Anyone else that tries to create a listing with "LEGO" in title/description/manufacturer etc. gets rejected.2 points

Ok, I know he flies a TIE fighter sometimes, but we usually just call him Darth Vader.2 points

Man, this was a great episode. Very nuanced, world-building, and one heck of a cameo! Honestly, this show feels like it's a comic book series which makes it so great. It's probably the only way we can flesh out all these characters as a TV series.2 points

Spend this morning and part of the afternoon watching the first 14 episodes of season 1 of the Big Bang Theory on HBO Max with my daughter. It was wonderful laughing and talking with her! Watched an eBay auction close just after noon for the Mario Kart 64 box and manual that sold for $62. Decided I did not really need it and saved my money as well as my sanity. I play this game several times a week.1 point

I tried emailing child-safety@amazon with the testing and conformity docs using the format that worked previously and got a response: Thank you for contacting Product Safety. Your submission is currently under review and our team will reach out to you if we require any additional documentation or clarification. We appreciate your cooperation and thank you for selling on Amazon. Thank you for selling with Amazon, Previously the approval time was a few hours or skipped straight to the approval email without a review email so I'm not sure.1 point

It is a small production promo set like this that generally confuses me why they don't print pieces for giant $400+ sets.1 point

Speaking of going postal...I had avoided going to the post office for drop offs for almost a year. Then one day, my Blink camera caught the postal lady picking up my packages from the front door while muttering "******* go to the post office, *****!" Made me laugh and feel bad, lol. Back in the habit of going to the post office now.1 point

Finally picked up a Lego 21104 Cuusoo Curiosity Rover. Opened it up and getting ready to build it. Waited far too long to buy one. Finding a new one under $300 is HARD. This one is part of the 48S3 batch (48th week of 2013).1 point

The top row is lego ninjago. The next line "It's 10 years of passion and growth". So the google translate is not that far off. For the Master Wu coin, on the left it's "Master Wu" on the right it's Ninja Sensei. The other coin I can't make it out clearly but I guess it's the same idea, name on left and 'title' on right. I have a confession, I've sold close to 1000 items here in Switzerland without being fully proficient in either French, German or Italian thanks to google translate. I think only 5% of customers write to me in English.1 point

I have been trading bitcoins and other altcoins since 2013 and I was just able to quit my dayjob. I wrote my Master thesis on bitcoin and take the blockchain developments as one of the most important revolutions currently happening in tech. I recommend people to put a little bit of money in both bitcoin (1 = $2800) and Ethereum (1 = $250) and just let it be.1 point

I just saw that the RRP for Chamber of Secrets is 179CHF compared to 139EUR in Germany or 129USD. 😒0 points

Apparently the at st had now been extended to the end of the year. Not sure if this has been mentioned or not here. Brickfanatics and MandRproductions have confirmed this and it seems plausible given the fact it keeps coming back at Lego. It may have been planned this way the whole time for just Lego and Amazon to continue it. It seems this way in Europe anyway. I guess Australia just got an early retirement on it. I can't help to think though that re sellers have really shot themselfs in the foot over this matter and recent sales and hype over the set have changed Lego's mind somewhat.0 points
