Got around to finishing this. What a classic. The red brown pieces though are painfully brittle. I got some replacements from Lego though.11 points

No one can predict the future, but this set probably won't give you great returns. D-O 75278 has been on sale fairly constantly at 20% off, was clearanced at multiple retailers with deep discounts, and has been a slow mover off LEGO Store Shelves. While I suspect this set will be done by the end of the year, it's not exactly a strong performer - And if you are dipping your toes in the LEGO investing waters, you probably could do much better with your set choice - Unless you are getting this at an extremely deep discount. So in short, yes I believe this set will be retiring soon, but in long - It might not be the best investing target. Check out the "What Sets to Invest in Thread" for some deeper dives and more information.1 point

We are still early. Yes at 60k btc... early. The future of finance and how we transact value is being created, broken, and remade everyday. Eventually everyone will utilize blockchain and many different cryptos... without even realizing it. Super early.1 point

No set time but other regions normally follow close behind. Although there have been some outliers . . .1 point

I've said it before but if “they” want people to use cryptocurrencies they have to make it easier. This process is so dumb and restrictive. Open Bitforex account, transfer Bitcoin, convert Bitcoin to USDT, buy OMI, wait for confirmation, move to a wallet. Seriously? WTH? I can physically buy a car as an investment faster than this clown show.1 point

I was finally able to snag and appt and got my vaccine yesterday! Got the single shot J&J. Thanks to all the military, firefighters, and nurses there who made the process fast, efficient, and practically painless! Their the real heroes. ❤️ On a side note, I didn't know the Oakland A's season opener was yesterday as well. I waited in the tailgate line for a minute before realizing I was in the wrong line. Doh!1 point

This morning I built the Rogue Shadow and it was not like most of the other Star Wars builds I have done. The ship is asymmetrical, has a fair amount of internal Technic pieces and took me over three hours to complete, partially because of my curious need to have the Lego logo facing in the same direction as I build (the set has under 500 pieces). I really bought set for the excellent minifigure selection because it includes the exclusive Darth Vader Battle Damaged and Darth Vader's Apprentice, and ended up liking it because it is a unique ship. The set was supposed to be complete per the Craigslist seller: 10-15 pieces missing, about 30 pieces included which did not go with the set (the 6 x 16 light bluish gray plate being the most dumbfounding) and 5 Mega Bloks, definitely the more typical used find for most of us.1 point

It is all a bit stupid - Thankfully. Stupidity is the fuel that keeps the machine running.1 point

Stupid LEGO. I let my guard down because the shuttle didn't have the exclusive tied to it, went to sleep and wake up to the stupid space coin sold out!!!! What happened to the good old days when everyone said the coins looked dumb or were low quality or they would be 20$ max. 100$ on Ebay already is stupid. I currently hate LEGO and people who spamming at midnight.1 point

Possible. Or maybe they will go around the same time like BB and DO. I still think Assembly Square has a higher ceiling though. I don't think this was a local clearance sale, just bad decision making for minor box damage. Or maybe it's because of the next lockdown looming: get some cash fast. They are still in trouble in general but the next step probably won't be closing a few more stores here and there, but rather bankruptcy or sale of the whole company.0 points
