I got home from work Friday to my 4 year old saying "daddy build another pirate ship". Apparently he's addicted now. So I let him pick one out and we built it. Without a doubt the hardest set I've ever built in hard mode. The piece selection is vast (4 inventory pages in the manual) so finding one or two of the low count pieces was quite a pain.9 points

I'm surprised by the lack of jokes in this thread. You guys are more mature than I've been led to believe.4 points

Not sure why I built this in Spring...but, finally built the santa sleigh from #10245 Santa Workshop...and slightly modified it with the Reindeer from 10275 Elf Clubhouse. Also working on a Nativity for the fireplace mantle to go with the Santa sleigh...but, I still need to work on ordering some parts (including finding a different angel and a Lego baby - kind of an important piece to the scene...LOL).4 points

It's always nice when you can get the wife involved. My wife stole my Bonsai and built it when it first came out. Then I came home from work a few days ago and she was working on it again. I asked her "You taking it apart to put in storage?", she replied "Nope, it's spring... time to swap out the green leaves for the pink cherry blossoms".3 points

Amazon Spain was selling the clone trooper battle pack for 13eur a pop without purchase limits. I may have gotten a bit carried away with my purchase...2 points

Oh definitely, I more mean the eyes on it just look happy. This must be based on the post-destruction of Alderaan Darth Vader.2 points

I love this set. It's so fun. Each time you think it can't get any bigget/taller....it gets bigger/taller. Not sure why value hasn't gone up as It's one of my faves as far as fun/different sets go.1 point

When they went to the new system I actually had to call and see if they could merge my points from my old secondary account, that I hadn't used for a while, to my primary account or I was going to loose those points. The only way they could get it to work was to restore all points earned on the secondary which was around 85K so they actually told me I would have to keep both accounts open and they gave me some bonus points for my troubles. I didn't get the Bat Pod and other then cashing out the original rollover points haven't used the secondary account until last week when I needed to purchase $300 worth of lego (including the Pooh set that I will review in that thread when done) to get the 1800 points I will need plus spend another $200 on the Discovery. So I will have spent $500 just to get a second Ulysses, sounds rather stupid on my behalf more then risky.1 point

Very, was looking to see what promo would stack with the Ulysses and it is just the carrot. I am assuming that even if the Discovery is limit 2 that the Ulysses will be one redemption per VIP account. So had to load points to both VIP accounts.1 point

You're not a lone. And several reviewers have said the same. I agree. If it was placed next to either of the stormtrooper helmets it would be even more obvious. And yet it is still the most expensive of all of them. Kind of puzzling. I still like the Boba Fett helmet the most out of all of them. It might be the coloring as the rest are just so monochromatic. And as much as I would love to see Rebel Fighter Pilot helmets, they would all end up relying heavily on stickers and I don't think any of them would really look that good in the end.1 point

They’re also available through their eBay store (limit 3) but there is also bucks that just started, sweetening the deal a bit more1 point

Helmets comparison. DV still looks like it is bubble wrapped. Definitely should not be put under neon / white / bright studio light1 point

Costco has reloaded with a few new packages. The Millennium Falcon is back, there's a coaster with nice gift, a Hogwarts castle, and some technic sets.1 point

could be on a different timetable like BHz which are typically only available for 1 year Especially so many new "helmets" coming down the chute...makes sense...don't want like 10+ helmets clogging up the LEGO aisle especially since their target market is much more narrow than with most sets.1 point

The count goes up and down and up and down. Amzn need to fix the bots before using them1 point

I just checked. I went from ~450 yesterday... ...to 7. And, strangely, only 4 of which are visible. 10655, 79008, 41485, 70788. Wild ride.1 point

A few double stack opportunities. Looks like the best is Shuttle 60226 20% + gift card. Also 75935 Baryonyx and 76125 Hall of Armor have the same. 21151 and 75892 have smaller discounts. Blue and green base plates are always good too.1 point

That's if you even get a Ulysses, not really a guarantee. It's quite interesting but like he's said it's more risky just spending the money to get the points especially when you really have no idea of VIP rewards value etc.0 points
