  4. Finally got the Disney Castle finished today. I enjoyed building it, just fitting it in a night or two at a time here and there. I liked all the extra disney details it had. Hopefully it will last a day or two at least before my cat knocks it down! 😂

  9. Nope. They are consistently available and often at $40. There is either a ton of inventory or the “retired in March” thing was all made up.

  11. The list doesnt make me a sense... Saturn in 2021? No logic to re-issue it just for 1 year. Treehouse - it was planned to retire last year, but was delayed. But delay for 2 years, so 3 years life, doesnt make a sense... Central Perk - will reach 2 years this year, dont expect 3 years life for this set...

  12. Damnit. I thought you were about to do a Seussian rhyme there. Where’s that janitor mod? He needs to clean up this thread.

  13. I didn’t comment on it at the time, but I was pretty shocked as well. But that’s the direction of things. A big reason for teaching history is so that we learn to be aware of bad things happening again else we are doomed to repeat them. Censorship, deleting things and revisitive history will doom us all to the same catastrophies. so, instead of saying “what’s the big deal with banning Dr Seuss” we might think “why is Mein Kamp, Rules for Radicals & Bomb Making ok? maybe there are other objectives in play?? If we are to learn anything from history at all we should know to not just trust the government & media blindly.

  14. I've heard a different body part used but I understand what you are saying. I'd like to think that mine is somewhat educated, having over 10 years in this sport. But still, it's my as....eh...armpit and I'm stuck with it.

  17. one example is NFT block chain company Dapper labs partnering with NBA to create the top shot collectible NFT series. https://www.si.com/nba/2021/03/17/nba-top-shot-crypto-daily-cover#:~:text=NBA Top Shot—a partnership,moments%2C” from recent seasons. (https://nbatopshot.com/) which seems like it could be a viable collector format- bitcoin-block chain meets trading cards. i can only imagine when this makes it to pokemon and magic . different NFT are more or less scarce. you carry them around on your phone or display hi def versions on a wall mounted viewing device. you can see where this is going to go for collectors. all the people buying single cell from a disney motion picture. you could see every single frame from every disney motion picture as an NFT like they sell the gels now. hard to see how you transact like a coin but would take counterfeit out of equation and add a chain of verifiable ownership to the collectible.

  21. amazon is taking a lot of heat from congress and the senate for unsafe and counterfeit products being sold on their site. This is probably their reaction. Unfortunately there is not a lot of common sense involved with their response particularly considering the implementation comes from bots. In theory if amazon sold the product they have the documents and there should not be these requests on these products but unfortunately that is not the case. Their priority is to protect their reputation and get the senate off their case they could not care if in the process they damage and hurt some 3p sellers. In the collectible sports category they just implemented that every item sold needs to be authenticated by a small list of third party firms. With that one decision they basically destroyed numerous sellers business overnight amazon seems to be trending that you will either need a chain from the manufacturer to you or sell your own branded products with the appropriate documentation

  27. s So I'm not OP, but I was poking around on reddit when I was DMOR, and found this which had me sold: ECOMI (OMI) crypto DD: OMI is a NFT used by the Veve app. Veve is a company based in singapore, it is a marketplace for digital collectibles. Why Veve/OMI? - Veve has licences with DC, Cartoon Network and Ghostbusters. - Alfred Kahn is head of Licencing, he used to do licencing for pokémon, mario bros, yu-gi-oh, and more - Veve provides support for AR and VR making users able to "bring digital collectibles to the real world" - by using blockchain it is impossible to duplicate or "lose" items - digital collectibles have a market of around 80 billion, and is expected to keep growing. - gems, the currency Veve uses, can be converted from and to OMI. this means users are able to make money trading collectibles. - OMI supply is capped at 750 billion. with 40% of that held by the company, and another 40% is held by board members, and used for buisiness development. making only 20% or around 150 Billion actually available for the public. - OMI is only available on 2 (very small) exchanges. and is still in very early stages of it's development. - OMI is working on being listed on more exchanges, and a wrapped version (WOMI) is being listed on Uniswap this march. - OMI is only at 0,0041$, this makes for lots of room to grow. - OMI coins get burned, currently at a rate of ~2000/second this should increase as the userbase increases. TLDR: NFT, coin burn and good partnerships.. tbh OP had me at NFT And also, this doesn't need to be the "go to NFT currency" rather it just needs a piece of the pie. There's a lot of pie to eat out there.. God speed moon boi's and happy weekend!

  28. thanks for the tip on omi dude! I'm in as well. I would think if it moves to UNI it could see a nice pump, so I took the time to buy through Bitforex. Been a while since I used that one! thanks again

  33. Not fair - That logic applies to all transactions, not just to freight forwarders (plus most of them would not be involved in such things, as it would ruin their business). So unless someone wants to live a life in total fear - you simply have to live your life (while taking the proper precautions).

  34. Oh you poor dear for believing that. If you get scammed by the person buying from the freight forwarder you're in for a fight. They'll return garbage to you and as long as the tracking says it was delivered to you, it will auto refund. BP had to band together and collect data for the mass of scams last year. https://www.brickpicker.com/forums/topic/21401-concerns-about-scammers-using-freight-forwarders-to-do-their-deeds

  35. This years lego Star Wars new set selection has been rather dull, IMO. The helmets look ok, but i'm not sure I want to buy any of those. Not sure how they will do as an investment either. Only set that I think will have any investment value right now is the Cantina, and that's if it remains limited in the amount of stock that is produced. The UCS gunship will also be a winner, but that has a while of waiting time.

  36. Spent the morning doing some boat restoration. Sails just arrived for the Flagship. I didn't appreciate the size of the Flagship until sitting it next to the Black Pearl. It's a massive boat.
