If Lego was going to delete this set in the wake of Disney's decision to ditch the Cara Dune lady, they would have done so already. Recall how quickly and abruptly they jettisoned the Technic Osprey set last year...when they make a decision like that, they don't wait around on it. This set will do fine, but everyone who jumped in on it hoping for a quick score is going to be disappointed.6 points

Local dept store doing 30% off all lego, I was there to pick up some clearance sets at 50% off and guess what the discounts stacked so that means 65% off. Had it do it the hard way and carried stuff to my car. Left with 42114, old Trafford, London bus amongst others. Never thought I would see deep discounts like this in one of the most expensive countries in the world. 😊4 points

I disagree. While it would have been much better if it had faced an early retirement it's been pretty easy to find at 20% off and has a good/rare group of figures and is a good unique model of an AT-ST.2 points

This is the symbol indicating that express checkout isn’t available on this item. Most likely because the weight of the item isn’t loaded by BrickLink. You’ll have to request an invoice.2 points

Here's the weights in grams on my scale if you are interested, not that I would bring a scale along to a store. 😁 24.7 Cowboy 24.8 mermaid 24.8 alien 25 samurapper 25.2 ice cream 25.7 dj cheetah 25.9 bunny 26.2 werewolf 26.2 banshee singer 26.6 cotton candy cheerleader 26.7 red panda dancer 27.1 shark2 points

I look forward to seeing the new version of the site, along with some of it's old features that have been upgraded. That being said, while I don't want to speak for Jeff, I will tell you that serious family illnesses over the past year within Jeff's immediate family has taken up much of Jeff's time. This is besides the added workload from his normal job due to the Covid BS. Jeff would never say anything, but I thought it was time to give people some heads up as to why certain site issues have not been addressed.2 points

Ebay: used 100% complete LotR Tower of Orthanc. $379 (when factor in tax and shipping) I have a feeling this one will keep climbing as the most coveted LotR set...but wife was giving me the 'ol stink eye lately and I've got some big boxes arriving today (and w/ my arthritis acting up, I don't think I can beat her to the front porch)1 point

Samsung Model: HW-MS550, bought at Best Buy as an open box buy for $100 about 1 year ago.1 point

Spent this morning into the afternoon moving our soundbar down into the basement as well as doing some rewiring to it (TV only two HDI inputs and I needed a splitter) so I could starting binge watching The Mandalorian. My family I recently bought Disney + for a year and the show is so much better with the soundbar. My son said it sounds like a movie theater. Success!1 point

Agreed. I loved the 21st century update to her wardrobe. She looks good and at the same time, when in power mode - scary as all get out.1 point

Best part of the episode for me. Paul Bettany is such underrated actor. He could convey wide range of emotion even under ridiculous amount of red make up. For my money, he / Vision should be the vocal point for the Avengers in the next phase of MCU, replacing Iron Man & Capt America1 point

Swung into the local LEGO Store to scope out and grab a promo set - Remaining Hidden Side Sets: Marked down to 30% off. Monkie Kid Sets first wave were marked down 20% off. WW84 was marked down 20%.1 point

Same GWPs and promo coin here. I've been waiting over a month to redeem that pirates coin. Glad to be able to do it with at least two GWPs. I got an email at 4am from LEGO Shop at Home saying the gingerbread house was in stock. Damn you sleep for getting in the way!1 point

All on ebay in past weeks...just feelin like sharing I guess: Used Technic Droideka 8002: negotiated $40 plus $20 ship: always thought this was the perfect genre for this model...I think I will need new rubber bands Used incomplete Holiday Train 10254: neg $50 ($69 out the door): been in the market for one for past 2 years...I figure I can find the missing parts or BL it. NISB BB8: Neg $105 ($125 total): honestly high on this set (kicks myself at ignoring them at $55 everywhere); popular character and ofcourse will likely rise once re-issue of UCS R2 comes out...even not; it's a must have for any SW fan...me thinks. Used 1989 Batmobile $172 ($200 total); been looking for one to build (so I sell my NISBs)l this one was a quarter built w/ rest in sealed bags. Used Stranger Things: $130...same reasons as batmobile...Season 4 will be coming out shortly NISB Lloyd's Mech 70676 $110 ($119 total):ouch!...just waited too long getting this; I don't think it ever hit discounts so I don;t feel too bad about the premium price...for some reason I envision a shelf full of LEGO Mechs in my office and this one is a must have for it...1 point

Yep. Lumber was half what it is right now in November 2020. This is nuts and if it is a sign of the inflation to come I don't look forward to it.0 points
