  4. I like the little details on "Cataract". Pay attention to the eyes (you know when ) It is a damn good show. That was a nice send off, very sweet and cheesy just like most of the best sitcoms' series finale. (in keeping with the theme of the series) Seriously, I need to talk to the authors and geek out or something

  5. I think Alpine had valid points though, insulting to sidestep doesn't help. Trump was slammed at the time for the travel ban, but an unbiased person should be able to admit that that was an early attempt to curb the spread that others wouldn't have done. Whether or not that would've made a difference is another debate. Serious question as I don't follow all the news as closely. Did Trump literally encourage people not to wear masks, or are we talking "by example" since he didn't always wear one while speaking at a podium (and probably 6ft away)? Another serious question, would those that opposite masks really change their tune depending on leadership? I don't think Biden would have convinced more people to mask up if they are firm in what they believe. I also don't believe that the shirtless viking guy would've stormed in with a mask on if Trump wore one. In this case, that's giving leadership (or lack of) too much credit.

  11. Finale - very fun. A few twist and turns were predictable but others exceeded my expectations. Over all, very nice! Don't miss the two after credit scenes this week.

  12. Not to mention the new Vision's "orders" were to destroy Vision. Except, as he said before he took off, "I am Vision." So now his orders are to destroy... himself? I can see that needing some time to process, even for a super computer. Also, the last words between Wanda's Vision and Wanda deeply imply he'll be back in some form. Vision: "We have said goodbye before. So it stands to reason..." Wanda: "We'll say hello again one day". Last note - when Wanda's Vision touched new Vision's forehead, the chip turned yellow and then back to blue. I'm betting Wanda will turn it yellow and then we'll see the Old Vision reborn. Only question I have is when... Dr Strange movie? Place your bets now...

  14. Wife and I was wandaing about Cream Vision...she thought he would simply seek Wanda out (i.e., "I'm Back!"); but I told her after having his memories returned he probably need some time alone to sort things out. Cream Vision did not get WandaVision's memories...only his original ones back...so his last thought was Thanos is pulling my brain out of my head...

  15. It may have been standard production for the ice rink but people were limited in how many they could buy. S&H has strict purchase limits, B&M's are limiting to only one per purchase, Covid limits people's willingness to go to the malls and other's don't have the time to stand in line at a B&M just to get in. So, given these limitations the "normal" supply would be available much longer. Plus alll Winter sets dip in value when its not Christmas time anyway.

  16. Would be hard to top the ice rink. There are over 600 on ebay and it barely gets $20. I hope this is not the new standard production on gwps.

  21. Trump was not seen wearing a mask in public until July 11th per this BBC article: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53378439 I had been wearing a mask out in public for three months at that point. Sure, Trump doesn't go to the grocery store. But a good leader leads by example. If you ask a group of conservatives about masks, one of them is going to say something about how Dr. Fauci said we didn't need them (on Mar 8, 2020) and a few weeks later said we did. Donald Trump repeated that during the debates. I think you'd be surprised at how quickly people will take to something if they are told by the people they trust that it's what we need to do. I honestly believe if Trump had endorsed wearing masks, done so in public from April 3rd when the CDC first recommended their use, that he could have single handedly save tens of thousands of lives. Instead, in talking about the recommendation he said he wouldn't be doing it and that it was just a recommendation (source: https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/04/03/826219824/president-trump-says-cdc-now-recommends-americans-wear-cloth-masks-in-public). This is... what? I've never heard this claim.

  23. And that's the problem with the left elitist... they love to look down on and insult anyone who disagrees, but yet they always claim to be so moral. They would rather claim they want to unite the country while still calling conservatives "deplorable" "Neanderthals".

  24. This. I don't get the folks that want to give Trump credit for something any president would have done under similar circumstances. Helping fund and expedite the creation of a vaccine is an absolute no brainer with zero political downside. You know what would've been even better? If he had also not downplayed the severity of the virus and helped turn common sense safety measures like masks and social distancing into a culture war about muh freedoms.

  25. My expectation "standard" of the POTUS whenever he communicates: Does not make things worse Does not further divide the country Does not embarrass our country Does not blame another person or entity (The "buck" stops at the POTUS); unless it's another world leader deserving scrutiny I really don't give a flip about some arbitrary deadline to make an appearance

  32. On a somewhat related note, I gave the small orange technic corvette to the father of a buddy of mine who was going through chemo. This man was in his late 70s. He was blown away by the engineering of that simple technic set. He had no idea. He loved building puzzles and I told him Lego was just like a 3D puzzle with instructions. I then loaned him my big technic wheel loader 42030 to build. He made quick work of that set, disassembled it and downloaded the alternate build online to build the second model. I know Lego is working on appealing to the adult market but I think they are missing a massive market in the senior adult community. They have money and the time to do these kind of projects. And combine that with the idea that they could build together with their grandkids or their adult kids and it would be a winning combination. We forget how much the average person does not know about Lego. Or things a bit more unique like Techinc. So many people are blown away when I show them the complexity of the big technic sets.

  33. Just received the land rover from target. It also had that disclaimer on the order page about showing what's in the box. It was delivered in the brown lego outer box with the actual set box inside. So everything arrived fine. Also received two medium set from Walmart today. Those where just put inside a shipping bag. I haven't opened it yet to see the condition.
