Love the Van Gogh Starry night set. I was at first surprised at the negative response to this approval (mostly elsewhere, not really here), but then I realized that I am far from impartial (having worked at the Met museum all through my 20's). So my verdict - great set - poor seller - excellent investment.3 points

https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=https://www.stonewars.de/&prev=search There's already an UCS AT-ST...looks nice; no need for another one An UCS AT-AT is solely missed in the UCS line and has been speculated in the above Stonewars linked article as the $799.99 SW set. While we're at it, the Bad Batch shuttle for $99.99 seems to be a winner...really stoked for the forthcoming animated series...concept-wise it's an awesome way to tell the timeline story just following Order 66.2 points

An actual Lego complaint here. I'm Bricklinking a Market Street, and as some may know the most expensive part of the whole set is the light bluish grey door (right-hinged). I've just received an order in the post, where I paid about £20 for this one part, and it's the old light grey (a part that I don't need and that's worth 1/10 of the light bluish grey part). I am usually understanding about Bricklink sellers mixing up the occasional old and new colours for ordinary parts, but for a part worth this much this is extremely infuriating. There is absolutely no excuse for not checking this properly beforehand. Rant over.2 points

the sets that were on clearance are no longer even listed on the website . they were removed later on the day of the sale. rainbow jewelry $5, animal picture holder $5, unicorn rainbow cosmic funky animals lovebirds bracelets $2, series 1 and 2 piece packs $1. easy to get sucked down the 100x rabbit hole on these and then have the orders all go through. i had to buy some new shelving today. rainbow jewelry and animal picture holders each weigh 14.6 oz ready to go in 1182 mailer2 points

Most of what I found in store was marked full price. Price scanner showed clearance price of $5.00. Not all Dots were on clearance, YMMV.1 point

I'm in the same boat. Redeemed both last week and didn't read the fine print saying you can only apply one physical reward per order. Now trying to decide what else to buy to get the second coin. Lame.1 point

I appreciate LEGO exploring a different genre (essentially 2-D wall art)...I realize their offerings so far are relatively "safe", but it's still an impressive jump outside their comfort zone. I feel that what their 2-D offerings have lacked is really a partial 3-D element...where the picture partially comes out of the frame...will show some interesting build techniques but more importantly combines what LEGO IS good at (3-D modeling) w/ the traditional 2-D wall art.1 point

As the young one, this is my opinion. I was 5 when Bionicle came out so I grew up alongside both bricks and technic pieces. LEGO in the early 2000s was pretty abysmal, both the designs and themes. However, Bionicle was consistently great as this weird, experimental product. It is synonymous with the best parts of LEGO from my childhood. It's frustrating to be told "that doesn't represent LEGO!" when its something you hold very dear to your heart. Especially when it's a product that literally saved the company from bankruptcy. I would much rather see it as part of the 90th rather than the 100th, because that's a perfect place to celebrate it. I really don't mind other things winning, but it's annoying to see people say that they want more space/castle/train nostalgia when those sets do actually still get a small, consistent amount of recognition from Creator or Ideas. I would much rather see Adventurers/Rock Raiders/Aquazone than Castle/Space because those are unique themes that really do not have a modern equivalent. For castle, you can still build the same structures with the yellow bricks we see in every set. Something like Bionicle lives or dies on specialized parts; it can't really be recreated without new releases.1 point
