Classic space and castle are easy for me. Took 497 to show & tell in the 3rd grade. My sister had the yellow castle.

I feel like they just didn't give enough support to Chima the first go around. Maybe if they really got behind it it would do better. That's my vote anyway.

No it required several 2x4 plates and 2x2 curved plates in the bright light orange to finish the job on the top. Got those from bricklink. There were some other structural changes and I took out most of the interior and added 3 more chairs.

Didn’t even think about it until you mentioned it. Almost wish they would have done three rounds, where they lumped everything into more general categories - like Space/M-Tron/Space Police or the different Castle or Pirate themes. Then if a particular general theme made it to the top 3, then split it up. Someone else mentioned splitting the vote right now, and maybe this would have helped with that.

I went for train primarily. Knowing that it was just one set being redone and not a theme, I could imagine a Santa Fe, BNSF or Emerald Night and that just gives me warm and fuzzy feelings.

Crazy thing was not a piece missing in any of them. Sea Cow is awesome, best of the lot. My wife (who does not do Lego at all) loves it. She said it looks like it's from her favorite anime One Piece. Destiny's Bounty is also awesome. The Scooby sets were really nice, I can see why they are doing so well. Voltron was a chore, did not enjoy that or Bennys at all.

I have a actual Lego complaint.... Competition for used sets in my area has increased drastically recently. I messaged this seller 10 minutes after they posted this lot for sale and they said someone else had messaged them first about it. Missed out on what could have been my biggest used set score so far.
