Super excited that I finally found a deal at Walmart, feels like it has been months since I have seen an actual clearance price.

Got a Used Fairground Mixer on FB Marketplace $165 might be from someone here...but I doubt it cuz set# wasn't included in the ad. If someone here, thumbs up on great layout and collection..few collectors have the big eiffel tower showcased in their displays

The kids and I finished up the 7163 Republic Gunship. Another fun build...I like all of the Gunship builds so I am excited about the UCS version that is soon to be released. This was another build from our FM Marketplace haul...Next up: The Death Star 2 10143 and UCS Star Destroyer 10030. Comp pic with the 75021 version:

Grabbed this random lot on Mercari a few months ago because it had a few large Fantasy Castle trolls in it. Finally opened it up this weekend. Ended up being at least 99% complete 7097 Troll's Mountain Fortress. 2 year old ran off with the horse

I actually just received a package with only GWPs just now. I had ordered a Shanghai (in stock) and Burrow (long backorder) and both of those went to waiting for new stock, but the GWPs shipped on their own. Never seen that.

I have 10030 waiting to be built in the basement. I was going to build it after I built Death Star II, but after building that one I was scared away from spending all day staring at another sea of gray. And now I'm reminded that I haven't fully recovered enough to attempt to build 10030.

For what is worth, I placed an order Jan 1st for a HP Clock Tower after it had gone on backorder and both the Monster Book and Vintage Car stayed In Process until today. They are all now “In Warehouse”, including the sold out Vintage Car

My first thought was actually Best Buy. That was my first ever email account. AOL kept denying all my choices and I had a postcard from Treasure Island on my bulletin board at the time 😀 I just used it ever since.

Couple things... My ice maker in the freezer seems to be overflowing and freezing water on the back of the freezer. Service tech came today and suggested it was the water inlet pump having an issue in knowing when to stop and it is overflowing (we have really hard water in my city that wreaks havoc on appliances). Makes sense because I AM getting ice, but getting excess water freezing on the tracks and rear wall. Guy was nice, told me what part I needed, how to install it, and told my I just saved about $300 by not paying him! Other thing was bought a new RC plane (Timber X - 44" wingspan) from Horizon Hobby. Yesterday, couldn't get much lift upon initial take off (I think my old batteries I was using need to go...) so I brought it down right away but a little rough and fast and at a slight angle and broke the prop in the parking lot. SO MANY hobby parts are on backorder (from China I'm sure) and that includes this prop so I think I'm out of the skies until I can complete repairs. I have two new batteries on order as well. Just stinks that I can buy the plane for $250 yet one broken $5 part and I'm stuck... Patience will prevail, I'll receive what I need in due time. I'm still troubleshooting exactly what happened. I'm a fairly skilled RC pilot have flown for years, doing tricks, etc. This one still doesn't make complete sense as to what happened.

Coached my son's team in a regional soccer small sided tournament , finished first and qualified to the state's championship later on in the year. It wasn't that long ago when we were considered minnows, now other teams relish avoiding us in the earlier stages

A while back a LEGO store mgr that I know fairly well told me LEGO was moving to establish their own presence on Amazon's platform. Apparently LEGO protested Amazon selling the UCS MF at a deep discount and began making this move shortly thereafter. It wasn't too long thereafter that several people here began complaining about Amazon blocking them from selling certain LEGO product on Amazon's platform. Now we hear that some Amazon sales are actually drop shipped directly from LEGO. It will be interesting to see if this continues or was just 2020 being weird.

I finally opened the shipping box and lo and behold. Arrived in excellent condition no shelf wear, no stickers, scratches, dings, etc... Looks like it was just picked up from a LEGO store. Seal code 31R0. Truly bizarre how this ended up in stock after being gone for so many years. Well, no complaints. Should be one my easiest flips!

I think the prices for 10198 are bad because 75244 overshadows it in every way. 75244 has no issues with translucent cockpit pieces (10198) and the proportions are correct. 75244 has the exact same minifigures as 10198 + Bail Organa (only found in this set). And it has a handle, which is always nice when moving a LEGO capital ship. It works well as a playset and display piece. Before 75244 came out sealed copies of 10198 were selling in the $300-500 range. I know because I decided I would try to get a used copy if I could. That wasn't too bad for a $150 set that had some serious flaws in my opinion. I don't feel 75244 really has any major flaws. Hopefully it does even better than 10198 at its prime.

4shure; it's better for investors and resellers if there was never a re-release. PERIOD I see a "path" for LEGO re-releasing Ninjago City. It's obviously gotten unprecedented acclaim...and with the new Ninjago Legacy logo, celebrating 10 year anniversary and all that, it could be re-released under this new logo.

My Targets also doubled the space for Lego after TRU shuttered.

My advice to the customer would be no. what they want to do is take your item to kohls and drop it off and leave like it was an amazon order. Kohls packs it up and mails it. If they do that it’s going to a return center and you will still have to refund. You will never see that item again. they need to pack it up and put it in their mailbox or drop it off at the post office.

If they print the return label, they should be able to drop if off there.

In the fine print, the limit is one. In practice, they don't seem to enforce any limit. I have about 20 ice rinks and a good number of MBOMs. I'm not sure if there is a risk of getting banned but my impression is that SAH has the limits on sets so bans are not a big thing at SAH. But others might have more to say on that issue.

Looks like MBoM is gone from SAH.

Okay just checked my sheets. My bad - sold for $850 on eBay April 2017. I bought in Feb 2015.

10030. Ugh. So much repetition. So much grebbling. SO. MUCH. GREBBLING. After building that set I discovered I just can’t get into 3000+ sets. Just too much work.

One Target close by showed the Bookshop Modular as “Limited Stock” for the last couple of days. Finally had a chance to pop in but was greeted with empty shelves and $40 HP advent calendars. One employee was stocking an endcap so I showed him the DPCI and he said “looks like that’s in the back”. A few mins later he returned with a LEGO shipper with 2 sets in it (neither had pristine boxes though). I still had Target circle rewards from one of the “place 3 orders” promos as well as some other “free” GCs from TP etc. orders, plus 10% off GCs from the holiday promo, so got this at a nice discount. Most stores show “Not sold in this store” and the set is sold out online, but if you see a “Limited Stock” store it might be worth checking out. FWIW this is for personal purchase ;-)

I built this Stranger Things set over the past few evenings. I enjoyed building the first half but the second half was a little repetitive (obviously!). The finished set looks great though.

I built Pirates of Barracuda Bay. Haven’t built a lego set in a while. I used the iPad app and only issue was the Technic rods are not the same size as pictured like in the printed instructions. Also, there were two minor mistakes in the instructions not sure if they are wrong on the printed version. Other observations seems like there are less spare parts then in years past and some of the small gold window screen elements didn’t have that snap tight fit. Looks like it would be a great play set lots of places for minifigs may have to populate it with my pirates chess set, but will probably do the ship conversion first.

My local store had 8 sets. My little dude and I were # 6 in line. Everyone was there for one. I definitely saw some shady individuals that will probably be reading this later. BPs aren't hard to spot.

On large sets, LEGO needs to go back to the flap w/ clear display...not only is it pretty darn cool...but can visually inspect the inside contents for tampering

100% I work with a lot of individuals who are terrible with financials. It's one thing to complain that one lacks money, but when they walk in with Starbucks everyday, and order delivery food 3 days a week, I start to question whether it is more of a function of poor decision making more than anything else. I'm totally aware of people having money struggles, and that I'm currently standing on my soap box, but when a person is in debt and getting $100 haircuts, nails done twice a month, etc etc etc, a lifestyle change may be in order.

Lost $400 on a bad return - Buyer claimed new set wasn't new (but it was), waited almost 2 months, wouldn't communicate, escalated a return into claim, the usps misdelivered my return package elsewhere, ebay refunded entire amount without adjustments for fees, etc. With my luck, they will find my package, & redeliver it - just so I can open it to find an empty box.

I actually have no words, I've never had sets arrived this badly damaged and since they were GWPs, I really have no recourse.

Just followers unfortunately. Critical thinking has been lost for awhile and with common core it’s only gonna disappear more from kids.
