If everyday at 5:45 I text the sun and remind him to come up. (This works 100% of the time BTW). Did I cause it to happen or is it something that would happen anyway that I did not influence whatsoever but misunderstood the correlation and causation of two unrelated events.... Like these items will be delivered 99.9% of the time anyway so how do we know the text update is what caused the 99.9 % of packages to be delivered as they would if there were no text updates???? 🤪2 points

wonder if we lose the great service we paid for that starting Monday though?2 points

FYI, the temporary USPS price increase ends on 12/27. So if you are creating any labels today, you might want to select Monday as the ship date (to get the lower rates).2 points

Best buy basically has to be 25% better than other options for me to buy from them, because I assume this is going to happen. I kinda do the same for Zavvi/Iwoot.2 points

Ok, it is the holiday lull... unless you chose to ship FBM this year! So, a diversion is in order. I have been planning on building a city for a while, and it is nearly time. To be honest, I resell lego just to fund my lego city account. Our basement is almost done, (I will start building new lego tables in January) and I have an area, not as large as I would like, but much bigger than nothing! So I am building a tiered city, using Eureka Springs, Arkansas as my inspiration It. It is built into the side of an Ozark Mountain, and it very "tiered". I would love to see all of your layouts for inspiration, so post them below! I will try to update my progress on here as I go. Here is a photo of our build area, that will move to be next to the new city. (side note: if anyone has a good strategy to get an 8 year old master builder to clean up after himself... I would love to hear it!)1 point

yeah they are easy to remove but a pitfa when there are hundred. 100% of my orders get stickered to the max. target has me on ban mode at the moment so i guess it doesn't matter.1 point

Those are hit and miss. Most of my Target orders did not have them. They are not too hard to remove, just time consuming1 point

2006 Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act requiring prefunding of new worker retiree pension & medical expenses, something zero private companies do, knee-capped ability of USPS to hire additional staff. imagine you run a business. you hire someone, now you have to prefund their retiree and medical benefits immediately. wtf are you kidding me? no one prefunds 100% retiree medical benefits - it's stupid. private corp's - they usually end up cancelling the retiree medical benefits or limiting them when they get too expensive. congress in its infinite wisdom took away this ability and guaranteed perpetual business failure by requiring rate of postage increases be less than rate of inflation - huh? what private business prices to lose money? again stupidity reigns supreme in dc. congress creating ludicrous mandates that private industry would have martini lunch lobbied out of existence in a nanosecond. usps should go out of business so then we can finally see how much our economy depends on their congress-mandated money losing business.1 point

Better yet, start a Costco Clearance thread. Put that on the to-do list for next year 🙂1 point

Yeah they are all batched and tagged from what they say. So would assume they get buried and if enough notices come through they are found. I've had strings of packages not moved together so assume all sitting in the same cart. I know a few postal inspectors were at our locations this week making them scan everything in the office. Got in trouble for it so also could bring that on if enough are done. Definitely not looking for each one but probably more a cart or batch that gets buried. Also not as successful through this but in normal season it's worked 99.9% of time for me the last 2 years.1 point

My only logical explanation is it sends out distress signals to the Keebler Elf, Dobby, Deedlit, and Legolas to help deliver the packages1 point

I still don’t get it when people say there is no money to be made in City sets. That theme has always been one of my strongest performers. I remember when TRU had those on sale for $10 each during the holidays. Unreal. I only bought 5 or 6, and of course I sold them way too early.1 point

My goal is to build my city into a coffee table. I wanted something that I could drop modulars into as well as design my own. I also needed a train because what is a Lego city without a train. I'm currently working to modify the Hogwarts express to fit under my arch way. Soon I'll start adding lighting. I am now considering expanding the city and going away from the coffee table idea. I also sell Lego to fund the habit.1 point
