Saw this on Craigslist 12 mins after seller posted. No pics posted in the ad, but the seller told me via text that the sets are complete with manuals, no boxes. I've got some Legos for sale. Buy 'em all for $35. Or see individual prices below. Comes with all instruction manuals. $50 - Harry Potter Great Hall $5 - Harry Potter with Owl on Platform to school $5 - Lego City Hot Dog Stand $10 - Lego City Arctic Ice Crawler I don't know what kind of math (or meth) he was doing, but I picked them all up for $35. Dude turned out to be a nice guy. I also bought a couple of Wii games from him for $15 for my kids and he threw in a third game for free.9 points

Finally cracked open the seals on the 10193 Medieval Market Village I bought on EBay several years ago. Built it and now working on "winterizing" the set so it can go under the tree. As this was the first time I built a 10yr old set "fresh from the factory", a couple of observations: - 2010 Reddish Brown SUCKS. Lots of cracking noises when placing bricks. One rounded window frame broke part of the bottom antistuds off (luckily these are plentiful available) - on first use ever! - Numbered bags for large sets are such a help. I had to dump 1600+ bricks on a table and do a lot of searching, as this set has no numbered bags. - Instructions really fail in color recognition. It was often hard to distinguish Black, DBG and LBG, as well as Tan vs Pearl Gold vs Pink, to the point that at the end I had to break down the chimney on the first house because I had used an LBG 1x4 plate instead of a DBG 1x4. - The big tree build is finnicky. Especially when trying to add the white flowers/blossoms to the tree. That said, the set is really solid and once I do my winterization I think it'll look great in my Winter Village.8 points

West Coast, yes. I was able to sneak a peek a fear minutes ago. Here’s my latest view: We’ve been watching the approach the last few weeks. Very cool site! No telescopes at my house tho.3 points

LEGO needs to upgrade and re-lease this set as Harry Potter Hogsmeade (then no "winterizing" needed)2 points

Walgreens has some small $9.99 sets on sale, store pickup or in store purchase, BOGO. YMMV.2 points

Brickheadz Reindeer, Elf and Elfie currently £10 on Amazon (limit 1). That's on Santa's retiring list.2 points

I'm a huge space nerd, so this was pretty damn awesome to experience. Gotta say that the 2017 eclipse was probably the coolest though…we were dead center in the path of totality right outside of Kansas City. No telescope needed!2 points

Amen. It's just really refreshing to have female characters who DON'T function as eye candy, a love interest 20 years younger than the male lead, a token diversity squad member, or a damsel in distress needing to be saved.2 points

I think you will do fine on those, I parted out 20 earlier this year and sold many of the parts and figs already, so much so I started buying them again when I saw them available for $16.1 point

So you haven't seen this from back in May? Sure it has been slow, I think the addition of US sales tax really pushed this back. https://www.bricklink.com/r3/main.page There is a whole article about it here: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/community/newsview.page?newsid=52 It will exist along side BL how it is now for more advanced users and for people who are super cranky and hate change.1 point

My last sent package that was up in limbo is out for delivery today ... phew. But I'm big time FBA and only a few EBay and BL/BO orders. LEGO shipments OTOH are still all over the place. Have a few orders from 12/8 that are still in "Pre-shipment" according to USPS.1 point

FYI, Walgreens is notorious for letting you order a bunch of something for store pickup, then canceling parts of your order.1 point

Ninjago Land Bounty is still available at Costco with a ~15% discount. Not great but it seems to be gone most everywhere else. Limit 2. https://www.costco.com/lego-ninjago-land-bounty.product.100648823.html?1 point

After days and days without scans, 2 outgoing packages finally got scanned at the destination city. Both of these were going from FL to AL and have been out there from before December 10th. Talking about USPS Priority just in case there was any doubt...1 point

Can we just say how embarrassing it is on how much BL has missed such an opportunity to really beef up the traffic going through the site. When their Lego sets were 75-90% sold out at LEGO Shop at Home, they didn't once even mention BL has an alternative option to shop at. To me, shame on them for being terrible salesmen and opportunists. BUT, this is nothing new anyways, just very very sad on how much they suck at trying to actually make BL popular. Also, I'll add an example. If you search for any Retired Lego Set on google. Bricklink should pop up at least on the 1st page. It doesn't and I would be surprised if it showed up by page 10 which doesn't matter, because if you are not within 1 half-scroll down the page from the initial search, it is too late and you won't get clicked on. Nothing shows up, in my examples that I have tried, when clicking the "shopping" tab either. It almost appears as if they are trying NOT to get noticed.1 point

I take it you're on the West Coast? Best view for us here in the Midwest was right after sunset…south/southwest sky, about 45 degrees up from the horizon. I was able to snap the photo I posted right through the viewfinder of my son's telescope. Don't wait too long to catch a good view…the actual conjunction occurred at mid-day, so the planets are both sinking quickly after sunset. You probably have two hours or so before they're out of sight. Happy stargazing!1 point

I was mostly oblivious to the attack until now. It's baffling to me that Solarwinds got hacked, had code elevated to release and no one noticed. We have code line analysis and jar analysis that is run before going to a QA environment. Then the build and deploy to production blocks your push if a single character was modified up to 2 weeks before production. We have to get director approval if even a small property file change needs to be made at that time. I work for a non-tech based company. I'm guessing we are going to start seeing more aggressive security scrutiny on third party software at a corporate level anyway. With a security breach this bad I can't imagine how difficult it is to clean up. How do you trace all the possible locations they can embed new backdoors, understand the data that was compromised, or servers that may be impacted. All it takes is access to a random employee's computer to gain access to the network again Best of luck @exciter11 point

We don’t know when in the timeline the ending of Rebels takes place. Filoni has even said that things aren’t necessarily in order. At the end of Rebels, Ahsoka is white-rob clad. She wasn’t there yet in Mando. I suspect she’s still hunting for Thrawn right now. Thrawn has probably been in contact now, and she’s gotten wind of that. But doesn’t know where he is. Once she finds Thrawn’s location, that’s when she recruits Sabine (ending of Rebels) to go after Ezra.1 point

To be fair to people saying goodbye - the forum is nice and all, but it was the Brickfolio that made Brickpicker the go-to site for LEGO investing. Lots of tangible data rather than just another forum where people share opinions. I'm still holding out hope, but even as an ardent supporter of this website - you've got to agree that it's missing a vital piece for much longer than anyone ever thought possible. I'm not going anywhere, but I see why people are frustrated and looking to other sites to support their investing habit.1 point

My advice: send one more email expressing your sympathy with his situation but that there is nothing you can do. He can pay the import fees or refuse delivery, and you will refund once the package is back to you (with all the deductions yada yada). Then stop responding. The more you engage, the more he will try to make this your problem.1 point

I suspect 2020 effects will shock many...strap in your seatbelts...no one's seen anything like this before ...and not even LEGO, I'm talking toilet paper 😂1 point
-
Ask them to confirm the condition of the package, and that the item arrived in good shape. Get that in writing before you explain to them that you aren't responsible for import fees.1 point
