Built the corner garage on Monday/Tuesday and the Bookshop on Wednesday/Thursday. I like both builds and really notice the improved techniques in the modular line, especially for similar areas to other modulars, or when comparing to city mini builds. As blasphemous as this is: Green Grocer needs an update. The Garage feature is excellent (at least it's my son's favourite besides the fire truck) and is well designed. The rolling door is not for little hands though and the greebling was VERY annoying. I hope Lego figures out a way to take a similar set and make it a reverse corner in the future. I have 5 corner buildings which is enough. The Bookshop was a very strong build and I love the colours, but would like to see a little more work on the walls of the shop itself. The trees suck (and always have) and the corner garage tree looks stupid. The Bookshop is the nicer finished product but suffers like Pet Shop and Detective's Office with a half building each. A full floor bookstore would have been really cool. I am very thankful that they are full size buildings unlike the DO and BB. The best feature of both is that they don't have the stupid Diner staircase. Parisian Restaurant and Green Grocer still rank 1 and 1A for me. Bonus photo of the buildings around the tree this year with both Holiday trains (wall isn't done, but whatever). I hope to light them back up next year if my kid stops touches them .10 points

Sold through 4 17101 Boost sets (buy-in $40 at WM 2 years ago) at $250 shipped each via BrickOwl. I was the only US seller on that platform, and somehow a lot of newbie buyers found their way to my listing. Received 10 quote requests in the last 72 hrs, out of which 4 turned into sales. With $12.50 in total fees this was a nice money maker6 points

My wife told a Target cashier that once. She got scolded for it when we got out of the store. My wife looks at the sets on my shelves and asks which one she's giving me for Christmas. That's also the excuse I give when all the boxes arrive in the mail after black Friday - "I don't know which set you'll be giving me for Christmas, so I had to buy at least one of each before they go OOS."4 points

My kids would have told her my dad just sells his Lego.. Hint : never let your kid talk to the store cashier ...ever.4 points

Add me to the list of people getting their Walmart order delivered by Door Dash. Wife had the kids in the car on her way out , and the driver told her to hide it from them since it maybe a gift, if she only knew4 points

Lol, my kid just did this at Target last week. Cashier asked if they were gifts and my little girl (7) piped right up before I could say anything, "no, my dad sells Lego". The cashier gave me the stink eye haha. Gonna have to have a talk with her before our next shopping trip.3 points

Finally received one of my Nebulon-B from Disney. Perfect condition, well packed. A second will be delivered to my store tomorrow. You can't fault Disney on their packing.3 points

My approach is camouflage..the boy has no idea which set is his present when 100+ sets come in I actually don't know either until maybe the night before Christmas...when I start looking at the shelves2 points

Hayden was excellent in Episode 3. Best SW movie ever made, I don't care what the critics say. I think he did great.2 points

how does one subscribe to the no return plan? For those who you know, never get any return requests.2 points

Also, just FYI, if you set in-stock alerts via the app I've been able to nab most of these OOS sets. Most notably the 75243 Slave I. Redcard + $10 GC on that one. Definitely not as good a deal as BF and past few weeks, but still a good chance to nab one if you missed out especially as it will retire soon.2 points

Maybe somebody at TLG finally realised that the truly abysmal packaging was sinking the entire theme. Imagine sitting in a meeting where somebody suggested that the boxes should have cartoons on them, rather than pictures of the set. Instead of laughing that person out of the room, everybody else must have said 'yes, good idea!'. Baffling.2 points

The cashier gave me the stink eye haha. Gonna have to have a talk with her before our next shopping trip. I honestly have no problem telling a cashier that it is none of her business what I do with my items. Her job is to check me out, not screen for use. I miss the days when people minded their own business. Yes, I am fun at parties.1 point

The rules are more nuanced than this, but that's less than $800. Nothing to worry about.1 point

I was able to unload all of the VIP codes I redeemed for around Black Friday. I was worried nothing good would come back in stock before they expired. I called in right after and got someone within 15 minute, shockingly. She allowed me to apply the $20 phone code that was half off on BF, and I had already applied the $20 online one (total $40 off, not reflected in the email screenshot but updated in my order status page).1 point

Late night poor decision making. I hate fulfilling my own orders. HATE. I figured I could flip them pretty easily for 100$ profit around the holidays. They ship in cases and its a nice easy flip. (Terrible decision). A lot of other much larger sellers had the same idea and its been mostly a waste of time/money.1 point

You sell your items for well below going price. Don't flip sets that come back into stock. Sell low volume. Pray. Prayer. Worship. Beg. Bribery.1 point

The only Hidden Side set I bought was the Shrimp Boat, because (with a little modification) it fits perfectly with Old Fishing Store (and it has fishermen!).1 point

I never cared much for Hidden Side until my kid got one as a gift. There are really fun and unique sets, but the boxes don't do anything to show that. I've actually never used the app so can't comment on the function. The are some (ex. the light house and bus) that can add a lot of character to a LEGO city.1 point

Thankfully Diners did arrive in cardboard boxes. Plain boxes, no target red dots or tape. They must be running low.1 point

Yeah, almost everything in Canada maxes out at 15% now. I miss crossing the border for actual deals. I mostly posted it because those two have been in demand.1 point

Amazon gives itself a “100% positive” feedback on that one too - what a crock of $@&#. Meanwhile, I get one star reviews from Timmy’s grandma because “the LEGO minifigure I bought is very small”.1 point
