Good luck. I just crossed 1M for the 4th year in a row (no employees, no warehouse) and it is tough work. Profit margin per sale is definitely way up this year compared to the previous couple years. This will probably not be my highest sales year, but will be my highest profit year by a long shot. Hopefully the inventory limits will be more intelligently rolled out by next Q4. Some of this Mandalorian/Baby Yoda stuff is selling 200 units a day and they are not increasing the limits above 200 until it will be too late.3 points

we are getting into the time of year where delivery dates from many FBA sellers is into January - whether or not this is the case this is what the buyer sees. it is incumbent upon sellers desiring to maximize their profit to realize that they are not just competing on price but also on delivery date as we get into crunch time. don't be that guy or girl who matches the lowest price without noticing that the first 10 low priced sellers don't have delivery until January 17. now is the time for pricing power based on delivery date which for FBM seller should be golden since its all in your power to get it done.3 points

1M in sales, at this point i'm going to need some help from Amazon as some of my flips aren't panning out. If it doesn't happen this year it probably wont happen for a while down the road. I've come to the realization that the volume necessary is way more then I can handle given my current infrastructure and processes. I was looking at this year vs last years metrics and i've seen an 80% increase in average selling price per item. I'm curious if anyone else has noticed similar jumps in average selling price?2 points

A trick I've noticed that worked 4 times in the past 24 hrs. Came across this because of my pure laziness and not wanting to create so many ads and upload so many photos. So I've found posting 1 ad of 4 like sets in same theme or dollar amount rather than a separate ad for each listing is working wonders!!! 'These four sets, $20 ea. or all Minecraft, but $25,$30,$35,&$40. Once the interests start to trickle in, I wait until someone wants all 4 (which has been a 15 min wait) and have been firm on price no bundle offers accepted sorry Frankie Fritz demand is too high ;^) Maybe even throw in a free poly if easy transaction and nice buyer. That way I am not making 4 $20 transaction. One meet, 90 bucks. done. Not bad for $20 buy in with no fees. I agree, filtering out the crazies takes some practice/patience, but its not too bad. Becoming quite fluent in temperament analysis. Just need to ignore some and move on. But those Moms/Grandmas/even Grandpas are feeling the crunch and don't want to go into a store. Anything for the kiddos! This snip-it might be a no brainer for most, but figured it was worth a share even if one person is able to boost their listings/sales.2 points

Sold the LEGO friends advent calendar locally on FB on Nov 30th evening. Buy in $22 sold $32. My first official resale Split the profits 50:50 with my daughter who was responsible for me buying it in the first place 😇2 points

Wow, I reached 140 k$ in FBA sales this year and that’s a milestone for me. Honestly, I cannot do much more than that doing this as a side job and out of my home basement. May be I should consider quitting my main job and doing it full time out of a warehouse. But given how Amazon has been recently and how stores are locking up sourcing Legos for resellers I am okay with where I am.1 point

Some of my snowball orders got cancelled as well - after the gwp's had already been shipped out. Maybe I should be honorable, and send them back.1 point

A local store finally got these. Was able to get 6. (5 in store,1 online)1 point

Zulily has 10252 Volkswagen Beetle for $100. 10EMAIL154 gave me an extra 10% off. 10EMAIL653 might also work. $5.99 shipping. 75941 as well but probably too late for QFLL so I passed. In YMMV, I had a $15 of $75 statement credit from Amex.1 point

Ahh - there was one scenario I hadnt tried. Empty cart, sign out, THEN add enough SW sets to my cart (GWP Endor appeared), THEN log in. After logging in, Endor remained in the cart and Lego added in the additonal gift wrap junk. So that is the item that must have been screwing things up, you have to get the GWP promo to appear BEFORE any others, that did the trick.1 point

Yup. I bought like 5 earlier this year. Then just placed an order this morning at 8:30 am PST, and got one. And I just checked again right now, and I could still add one Don’t know why that’s happening on your end1 point

It didn't work for me yesterday afternoon or this morning. If it worked for someone today, it may have been a random cancellation flowing back into the system.1 point

I went to a few Barnes around the Bay area today. Some had them in the floor display and some only had them in the back and required me to buy online for store pick up. I netted 5 total and got to stop into a Lego Store, that was nice. Definitely a ymmv situation and who knows how many are still out in the wild.1 point

I think it may end up that retailers like Walmart and Target stop stocking them to clear shelf space but lego and online retailers may continue to sell until the rumored new retirement date. So it may be the last chance for clearance prices1 point

30628 Monster Book of Monsters x7 @ $23.73 each after Barnes discount and sales tax. I stopped in my local store this past Sunday night to check if they received any. The clerk looked up the set and it showed that my store had 9 on order. No other stores within 100 miles of my location (Green Bay) showed any on order. She printed a report for me showing other stores "nearby" that were getting some and suggested I call to see if they'd ship to me. Most are in Michigan. A few are further east in Pennsylvania, New York, and Kentucky. I don't plan on driving 10 hours one way around the bottom of Lake Michigan any time soon, so here is the report for any Pickers that are local to those areas and want to try to hunt them down. Data on the report is accurate as of 12/5. I stopped in again this afternoon and the nine they had on order showed up. I was able to get seven of the nine. I'm assuming the stores that were slated to receive some only got three cases of three? The Barnes in store product # for this set is 0673419333344. The item description in their computer is "LEGO Partner Driven Exclusives tbd-HP-Model 30628. Good luck out there!1 point

Good advice. Price from the product page, not your inventory page. The shortages on LEGO Shop at Home are incredible. Every Ideas set is oos. Only 2 mario sets. Just a couple Disney sets. Take full advantage. Timmy is counting on us.1 point

If I buy something that turns out to be a dud, I just sell it at market and move on. Just like Stocks, can't be right 100% of the time. I would advise the person who posted that to suck it up, learn from it and move on.1 point

The volume is INSANE. I priced my stuff high like normal and even before black friday I was repricing higher. Small sets are hitting 50$ easy and some pushing 100$. I had about 50 extra large boxes of Lego's left. Figured the quantities I sent in would be too much. Super wrong. I'm digging deep on everything I have. I've started sending in next years investments. I'd send them all if i wasn't blocked on most of them 😕 I'm also really tired. 5th straight day of 200+ packages and I can't take off work. Considering a new career choice...1 point

Just a reminder to everyone - and this isn’t directed at any one in particular as we’ve all been guilty lately - this thread is for posting of deals. We’ve been lax with the cross talk lately, but as the holidays approach, and potential deals come around, let’s keep it to a minimum. Instead, I encourage you to check out all the other forums we have. There’s a topic for just about every set out there. And if there’s not, create one! We have topics on speculating what’s going to retire, investment strategies, clearance at individual stores. Please go check them out. Thank you!1 point

Picked up a great lot today from Facebook marketplace. $100 for everything. Black pearl, western stuff, Atlantis stuff... lots of baseplates. Some instructions. I enjoy sorting this kind of lot and figuring out what goes to what set.1 point

Mario Lopez cast as Colonel Sanders . . . in a Lifetime movie . . . called A Recipe for Seduction. Honestly, I'm posting this here to complain that we didn't have this cultural gem of finger-licking goodness before. The trailer alone is filled with extra-crispy intrigue.0 points
