I often question if buying more LEGO is using the money wisely. But then I do it anyway.5 points

Longtime AFOL here, fan since age 6, new to brickpicker. No true dark ages but I definitely had a "dim age". Was tuned into AFOL community well enough as a teenager in the aughts to know that I better guard my at-my-parents-house collection with my life, even if I wasn't into it. That instinct definitely paid off. Reclaimed the whole ~40K bricks of them a few years ago and haven't looked back since. As another rare woman here it seems I find myself yet again in a male-dominated field, no surprise there (I'm in tech in the real world).4 points

pathetic really. still available at walmart: $19.99 - 50% off hp calendars. https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Harry-Potter-Advent-75981/666341901 i've been ordering multiple orders of 2x per day for instore pickup always waiting for the all clear that previous order is ready to pickup before placing an order for another 2. not having an issue though with multiple stores at one store waiting to be picked up. picked up the first tranche of 5 orders (10x) . i have 50x waiting for me at 6 stores. obviously there is no apparent banning of instore orders for pickup given the number i have outstanding at the moment.2 points

I feel like at this point I’m dumpster diving the lego site for any inkling of a gem. I’m not touching either of these personally. I’m just hoping for maybe a late miracle addition of the Christmas carousel promo from a couple years ago. Or maybe the nutcracker to go along with dickens.1 point

Exact problem i was having... ended up ordering two for the kids and a couple bricks to get free shipping... beware though... this set is selling for squat on ebay so not a good investment...1 point

What's the market for last year's calendars come November? I've never picked them up, figuring they trade at a discount to the new ones, making it hard to make a decent profit even at 50% off?1 point

Got a letter form Target yesterday and I am thinking oh oh what now since I just got my statement a day before. Open the letter and they are increasing my CC limit by another 5k... They don't know if they want you to leave or stay, such a toxic relationship . Now if they they pull out a whip it would just be like my ex is back .1 point

I had a funny thought for a chance meeting in the Mandalorian. Boba Fett has just pledged to help Mando get Grogu back. What if the Jedi to answer Grogu's call is actually Luke Skywalker. What made me think this could be a cool is when did Luke and Boba Fett last see each other? On Tatooine... over the Sarlacc pit. That could make for an interesting encounter, especially if they have to work together. One of those, "When this is over, I'm going to kill you" kind of things. However, by this time (The Mandalorian) Luke should be well on his way to being the Jedi Master we were all looking for in SW VIII. What if Favreau and Filoni will use the Mandalorian to give us the Luke we were all looking for in the sequel movies? It wouldn't be Mark Hamill but a younger person (should be late 20s / could be early 30s). Like someone else said, SW is not so good on keeping ages of people straight.1 point

Seems like it may have been harder on the Sarlacc Pit.1 point
-
Two things: 1) Those pieces are way too big to be the Razor Crest and 2) your set appears to be missing the lone DBG spear. Just saying... I guess it depends on how long Boba was in the Sarlacc stomach. That would make anyone age quickly.1 point

Found 5 of these in a Lego Harry Potter display in my local store. Bought all 5, also got a free journal with my purchase.1 point

It depends if you call Amazon a retailer.....most of the big stuff I get from Amazon comes Dropshipped directly from Lego. So basically Lego is selling it, just through another outlet. Thats different than placing inventory in a B&M store1 point
