Man, banner day around here, book of monsters, more Dickens, and most notably: my Disney castle from Zavvi showed up in a double box, with a free years supply of air pillows!5 points

Curious how in-store stocks are holding up since it seems that many online sources are drying up -- good for resellers and any of us LLQF's LEGO SAH makes it easy to breakdown by price and what's in stock (once you eliminate the items that are not buildable sets -- i.e. STEM kits, EV3 modules, etc... that still show in the list even though you specify "Sets" in the filter). Here's their status (US market) as I measured: Price Range, Sets Available, As a Percent >$100: 18, 23% $75 to $100: 13, 19% $50 to $75: 17, 26% $25 to $50: 27% (stopped screening buildable sets, and just divided available into avail+sold out+backordered) <$25: 36% (includes key chains, dots, etc...) So, looking at the serious sets >$50, that's less than 50 sets across all themes. If SAH is the canary in the coal mine, I would expect the other B&M retailers to sell out soon. I suppose on another positive note, it should be easy to identify the turds I'll add some of the B&M online stocks: Amazon ("LEGO", sold by Amazon.com, building sets, Prime eligible, LEGO Brand): 313 sets, 104 over $50*** Walmart ("LEGO", retailer Walmart.com, building sets and toys, Deliver to Home eligible): 281 sets, 77 over $50*** Target ("LEGO", building sets, shipping available): 334 sets, 93 over $50*** *** Note: doesn't include sets on sale <$50 that are RRP >$50 I'll try to update this list again every few days to see how the supply is holding up.4 points

If I buy something that turns out to be a dud, I just sell it at market and move on. Just like Stocks, can't be right 100% of the time. I would advise the person who posted that to suck it up, learn from it and move on.4 points

The volume is INSANE. I priced my stuff high like normal and even before black friday I was repricing higher. Small sets are hitting 50$ easy and some pushing 100$. I had about 50 extra large boxes of Lego's left. Figured the quantities I sent in would be too much. Super wrong. I'm digging deep on everything I have. I've started sending in next years investments. I'd send them all if i wasn't blocked on most of them 😕 I'm also really tired. 5th straight day of 200+ packages and I can't take off work. Considering a new career choice...3 points

Get used to this honestly. The only time you can guarantee a clean box is when you pick it off the shelf yourself. I had a $150 set the other day come in a perfect shipping box, but the actual Lego box looked like a forklift nailed it. I will just suck it up, verify contents inside, then either part it out or sell as an open box or list it as damaged. This is part of reselling stock that has passed through many hands before it ultimately gets to us. I haven't personally returned a set to a store in 3-4 years. Not worth my time or bringing any attention to my accounts. Like in another post, someone thought about returning 16 of the same Lego Set. Ya, good luck having that conversation with the store manager if he is around. Too much unnecessary risk.1 point

For reference, I have Oct 15 shipments that aren't yet live and ones from Nov 21 that are live.1 point

Cool down fellas. I do not want to ice the thread. It is not like the set is going to do triple axel in the next few months1 point

My hope is that this might be a hint at a new set/theme....kind of like Monkie Kid.1 point

Nice Job! Some have said their stores had put away the C.D. promo and wouldn't allow the double up with Rink. I was hoping for a small window for both last night on the SaH site but no go. And little tree of course store only.1 point

Hey, Jeff, Wanted to see if this feed is updating. At least on my end, it seems to have stagnated with many Target items displayed that have been OOS for awhile and Amazon prices that have since reverted back to higher prices or gone OOS as well. Thanks!1 point

Not sure how it resets, and it may change with different sets. I know I had purchased multiple Quidditch matches early in their life through Shop at Home when I think the limit was 5. This year, the limit decreased to 3 and I had purchased more during that time, and the order went through. Of course, now that it went to 40% off, I wish that order was cancelled, but that's beside the point.1 point

And if the rumor is true that there is no stock for a few months we may see another opportunity in the near term.1 point

most definitely not a qf opportunity like nebbie and tasky but will certainly be profitable a few years down the road. This will age like a fine wine so not for the short sighted;^)1 point

Been discounted for Cyber Monday since the start. Anyone know if b&M's are still $15? I bought a lot last year when Target discounted them to $10 but either they overproduced the set or it did not sell well. Still tons in the stores. Just like the Han Solo Keychain last week. See if it stays with the order and ships.1 point

I got couple sets in my cart from my saved sets page in which these were in.(On walmart at sale price) but then when try to check out they say Out of stock. Is strange is available in other areas apparently. They may not be mind blowing but they fit the yearly Comicon super hero displays and as such will be needed by those many completionist out there.1 point

it’s not worth it paying full price for the sets... especially since all that’s left on the lego site is a couple of bones after being ravaged by BF shoppers1 point
-
I tend to agree because it's the most appealing to me, but on the other hand it is Technic. The orange one really didn't do anything until Covid hit -- although the $150 price point helps.1 point

thanks guys for the advice what is amazing is the new Ferrari I think looks even superior to the Porsche and I think it looks very good for what it is worth amazon is down to about 700 of the beetle, moving quickly and target, Walmart, bn and lego are out on the fence if I want one but it is last call for the beetle I really would like a full size to put with my mini beetle as a set1 point
-
excellent not Star Wars thank you I can pass lol1 point

Yep, elves. Three brick built elves, old style with button noses and what looks like a 40th anniversary sticker. Also a wind up function1 point

This is odd, a few of the sets that were showing up on Target as Cyber Week Sales at 40% off are now showing full price. And this happened within the last hour.1 point

I have never received a damage set from LEGO and rarely get damaged sets from Amazon and Target, despite 8 to 10X the number of sets ordered. YMMV.1 point

And it's definitely a fight...They just beat you down until you say F' it. But, $1800 is worth fighting for. Ok, sorry I derailed us. Back to Deals. lol1 point

They sent my Bugatti’s in garbage bags. Refused the shipment. Still fighting to get my $1800 back![emoji35]1 point

Totall agree. I also stopped ordering from them. After 9 or 10 damaged sets I was done.1 point
-
I stopped ordering from them. Too many damaged boxes, too many orders that took weeks to ship. They lost my business and for a few bucks of savings, I'll go with customer service and reliability from target, walmart, amazon.1 point
