  2. My wife recently helped me to organize my Lego sets and pieces/bricks. I can now quickly and efficiently realize I still cannot find anything.

  3. I have a sneaky suspicion that, those selling on eBay and AZ right now for $85-95, may regret their decision to quick-flip in a few months.

  4. Not suggesting anything here but just sharing a personal experience. 5-6 years ago, I had a rare experience of bad customer service with LEGO Shop at Home. The rep was pretty rude. I stayed on the line after the rep hung up and voiced my displeasure via the recorded survey at the end of a call. 3 days later, I receive a call from an odd Minnesota number. It was a LEGO supervisor that was very apologetic. I had called about a modular in which I had ordered and then got canceled. She said that she had located one and was going to send it to me free of charge. It blew me away. That's how I got a free Grand Emporium.

  6. Another tip with phoning Shop at Home (as a former employee, I was tipped off to this): when it asks up front if you will complete a survey at the end of your call, select Yes. It puts you on a faster track and usually a more knowledgeable rep too. Then at the end of the call its up to you if you actually take the survey you agreed to. I do especially if the rep was great, but sometimes I forget and hang up. No harm done regardless. Also call during normal business hours to get a more helpful rep. I'm basing this on past experiences and insider info so take it or leave it.

  7. We stress over being a tenth of an ounce too heavy, or a quarter of an inch to big, yet I regularly receive these large 15 lb boxes with a 6 ounce first class label smacked on them (delivered without issue). Something somewhere just ain't right.

  8. Disney Train and Apocalypseburg were great to get the GWP's. Train sets sold with 10% profit to get rid of it, Apocalypseburg sets sold with 80-100% profit I don't expect an Apocalypseburg equivalent this year...

  9. I just filled out a price match report at Amazon using LEGO Shop at Home. It may not get the $159.99 price but at least get it back to msrp.

  22. Got off the phone with a very nice Rep (super long hold): Nebulon Frigate is done folks. She told me the same thing that other people have been hearing, the website glitched and the "in stock" button should never have come back on that evening. I asked her if it was worthwhile to watch the website and refresh the item's page in the future, and she said it doesnt look like anymore will ever come back in stock. All cancelled orders have been completed and all inventory spoken for. She refunded my used voucher back in points so if I choose to purchase another voucher I can. She said no Lego stores will carry this, it was online only (I tried to go the "call a store and have them ship" route). The only other option is Amazon, which luckily I have an order pending, thanks to posts on Brickpicker and thanks to me being awake late that night that it first went up (prematurely) last month.

  23. Treehouse extension was bad. Ideas in general was a rough theme this year, I remember a guy with 1200 Apollos on BrickLink and a looot of 21313s. Ouch. Whenever I feel bad about these sets, I remember that guy on BrickLink.

  24. I ordered a Lego Boost for my son's Xmas gift off Amazon and noticed something on the order page that I never noticed before. Maybe you guys have seen it before, but it says "Item arrives in packaging that shows what's inside". In order to hide it, you have to click Ship in Amazon Packaging and then click the checkbox next to "Ship in Amazon Packaging". After checking this, under Gift Option, it says "Ships in Amazon Packaging". I'm guessing this may be a way to prevent a Lego set from being shipped with just a shipping label slapped on it. I'll post an update when I get the set on Thursday. Seems like a sneaky default setting that allows Amazon to ship products with shipping labels slapped on it. On a side note, some poor guy on Amazon had his Nebulon Frigate shipped with just a label on it. No box or bag.

  29. My take is its not mentioned as a possible retirement and there are tons of other good buying options right now. Why risk funds on a slow moving, big ticket item.

  37. Make sure to watch the prices of items you are sending in folks. Just ravaged a seller who sent in a bunch of items at 60% off going rate. Also set quantity limits on your items <-

  39. Well... I thought it was going to be hard to get rid of the 300 ship and a bottles I bought earlier this year off Amazon. Half of them arrived at Amazon today and evaporated. Made 30$ a set. I'll take it.

  40. Not in my experience for USPS, they round down. But, I think for FEDEX, and UPS you are correct. Just for education purposes. Same box size, 2 lb vs 1 lb 1 oz per USPS website:
    1 point
  41. For heavier than 1 lb, anything above exact pound needs to be rounded up though. So 2 lbs, 15 oz (or 2 lbs 1 oz) should be mailed as 3 lbs.
