  9. no. you need to be a little proactive and pack similar appearing boxes from different sets in the same theme into different boxes of the shipment to make it easier for the overworked warehouse worker to get their quota. if i have a high value smaller set, i will spread it across multiple boxes in the shipment in case one box gets lost. each shipment can have multiple sets and multiple boxes and you can put the same set in one box or all boxes. in the past when i did fba, i would send in 20-30 24x20x20 boxes at a time to 5-6 distribution centers and it would take 7-16 days for everything to show up as available to ship. this year i am prepacking 50 sets a day to keep up with current fbm demand and be ready to slap labels on prepacked sets across dozens of skus on bf->cm. this time of year i used to get angsty over the naked box returns via the oh so convenient 0ups store where they just slap a label on the box and put inside a giant burlap bag with all the other items going back to amazon land. and you get it back weeks later taped together pieces rattling around inside.

  10. Not in my experience for USPS, they round down. But, I think for FEDEX, and UPS you are correct. Just for education purposes. Same box size, 2 lb vs 1 lb 1 oz per USPS website:

  12. Exactly what I did. $500 sold, they paid shipping. Yoda lightsaber in reserve. Seems I'm in good company.

  13. Well, can’t be disappointed when you’re not expecting anything. If it’s a print, I’m sure it’ll look good, but I’ll pass until a good time to grab it with points and some other GWP.

  14. Got my two Taskmasters from Lego. FedEx actually wrapped the box in a bag since it's been raining all day. Both are dry and intact. Truly an excellent packing experience.

  16. I label all my inventory and they still receive things wrong on a regular basis. Just sent in 24 of a Spiderman figure and 24 of another character and they received 36 of one, and 12 of another. Then they print their own label for the wrongly received item and place it over top of your correctly labeled item. Has happened to me dozens of times. When I ask for a bin check/photos, they either admit the mistake and relabel it, or they send me photos where I can see their WRONG label put on top of my correctly labeled inventory.

  17. i came to realize that either way you will be f***d by amazon. you would think it would be safer to send one sku per box, but alas , at least for me, that never came to fruition .

  26. Slather the turkey in butter and spices Cook uncovered at 500° for an hour (this kills the bacteria that exists on the skin, and seals the bird) Remove turkey from the oven, cover in foil, put back in the oven at 225° until done (usually 12-16 hours) You won't have to baste the turkey, as the skin was sealed during the first hour. So outside of taking it out of the oven to foil it.... it's completely hands off. I make a turkey each month, and this is both the best and easiest way to cook it. The longer you leave it in, the more tender and juicy the meat is. Looking forward to going to Walmart the weekend after Thanksgiving and grabbing a cartfull of half priced turkeys to put in the deep freezer for the next year.

  31. Spatchcocking is taking the back bone out of a chicken, Predator style, then splaying the bird open so more skin gets crispy. I guess it could also be sexy. . . If perfectly crisped skin is your thing.

  39. This is my one respite from politics. Even my podcasts (none of which are political in nature) have seen it seep in. Today I’m cleaning up this thread. And I’ll be zero tolerance on it. This is a joyful place. Not a place to talk politics or poke jabs.

  40. Just a reminder to everyone - and this isn’t directed at any one in particular as we’ve all been guilty lately - this thread is for posting of deals. We’ve been lax with the cross talk lately, but as the holidays approach, and potential deals come around, let’s keep it to a minimum. Instead, I encourage you to check out all the other forums we have. There’s a topic for just about every set out there. And if there’s not, create one! We have topics on speculating what’s going to retire, investment strategies, clearance at individual stores. Please go check them out. Thank you!

  41. A Christmas themed Millennium Falcon from Reddit, likely the employee exclusive. It looks like it will be featured in the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special coming next month We shall dub it the Christmas MILF, based on a research video called "Ho Ho Ho's" I watched as a teenager.

  43. Just a data point that I placed some large orders last Friday during the $15 Kohl's cash for every $50 combined with the 30% off on LEGO and big discounts on some other toys. The orders all went through, and have been delivered. I received emails showing that I earned the associated Kohl's cash. However, when I went to use it the other day, it was not listed in my account and I couldn't manually add it either. Just went through a painful back and forth with Kohl's about why this is and they "revoked it due to exceeding quantity limits". There are no stated quantity limits and each order is manually reviewed and determined if it exceeds quantity limits. But, again, there are no actual limits. Just whatever the person who is reviewing feels the limits are at that time of review. It is interesting because in the past, I've ordered higher quantities in single orders than I just did last week without much issue. Occasionally, the orders were canceled due to exceeding these fictitious limits, but usually went through. This is the first time that I had the orders go through and be delivered to me and then have the Kohl's Cash clawed back retroactively. TLDR; I lost over $2k in Kohl's cash that I earned on orders that I paid for and have been delivered to me.
