The joy of getting to watch Mandalorian season 1 for the first time. Watched first four then first four again because that's my style. So far they got something good going 😎 Obviously has been received well by the masses.5 points

I got my package from Fedex but it almost turned into a disaster... see I left my garage open as I headed out to fill up the tank and get some gas for the lawn mower. In that 10 min span, Fedex came by. I saw the truck so figured he stopped by but when I pulled in, I saw nothing on the front stoop. Ok, odd, but whatever, maybe the next time he swings by the street will be my turn. An hour passes and I get the email that my package had been delivered. I was still in the front yard and he never came by again so now I was like... Son of a B, he got the wrong house. I checked all my neighbors, but nothing. Then I tell my wife and she just happens to see a box under the car that I used. The dummy of a guy, but the box in my GARAGE where we Park the vehicles. Not all the way up by the door in the garage but somewhere in between. Who does that? Turns out I hit the box and my front bumper just pushed it along as it was stuck underneath the vehicle and I had to back the car up to get the box out. Thankfully only the box had damage to it as the contents inside were saved but my oh my. If any Drivers read this.... Don't be Cute, just put the box at the front door as expected or anywhere else that vehicles don't go. I'm looking for children or other things, not a box that is super low to the ground, when pulling into my own garage.2 points

Why are you guys deleting posts about the Comic Con sets? If you got your hand slapped by Lego about them just say so instead of censoring your membership.2 points

I've worked in insurance for about 10 years as a software engineer. They will require proof of items in the warehouse. -Invoices for everything purchased (this includes prices paid). -Current value of all items in the warehouse -Outbound manifests for everything sold within 3 years. (Essentially outbound information as far back as your receipts are old). Once they have an "accurate" count of everything you have. An actuary will assess the "replacement value of your inventory" in the current market. Based on my understanding its usually (what you think you deserve) - 30% + -(desperation tax). You will not get (Amazon Price - Fee's) for your inventory. The actuary's cross check the information you provide and process them through their loss models. They are very complex models which take into account a lot of factors (including time to sell, effort to sell, the ability to sell something, etc).2 points

Also, how mad would you be if they sold out while you were playing your second order of one... it isn’t worth missing out on getting all three sets for a couple keychains... now, looking back, yes they remained in stock for a good while but there was no way of knowing that1 point

Sure. Just pointing out that if anyone missed out on maximizing their GWP on this one it's not a big deal.1 point

Don't worry about missing out on a couple of keychains. They are virtually worthless.1 point

no i just did the 3 in 1 shot. pretty surprised how nice they were as they were pretty tight in the box with one set of pillow packs on the side.1 point

Maybe... 🤣 But the sets are lower price in than what they cost in US and Cdn, so they have to spend more, that is true. 😊 But where VIP points don't accumulate on entire purchases in US/Can. They add tax onto the prices so points are only on subtotal. Where it accumulates on the vat in UK and likely EU too (if their entire country is same tax rate across the board), no additional taxes and the set price includes the taxes. UK makes out like bandits on the extra points.1 point

Its not weird because Lego abandoned the conversion in their most established markets over a year ago. The Asian market is still newer to the lego family, they follow the The number that US, Canada, UK and EU countries see is the same, onlt difference is the symbol in front $, £, €. Examples SW Carbonite keychain: $100/£100/€100 El Fuego's Stunt Cannon/Monkie/creator 3in1 Poly bag each was : $35/£35/€35 HP Brickheadz: $100/£100/€100 Xmas Tree (July) :$100/£100/€100 Hot Rod: $85/£85/€85 Xmas Tree BF19: $120/£120/€120 Red Brick BF19: $200/£200/€200 Mini Gingerbread house: $99/£99/€991 point

I ended up getting a policy through Collectinsure this Spring. It was very easy to get a policy and the guy I spoke with was really helpful. I was the second "LEGO guy" he'd talked to that week. Rates are really affordable. Haven't had to file a claim of course so can't speak to the level of proof required, but basically the agent I spoke with said keep good records and we will cover you.1 point

They're authorized to put this out by LEGO. Yeah, it's a bit nuanced. Certified stores aren't a thing in US.1 point

This is a modified store calendar from a LEGO Certified score. It is clear they changed some of the conditions. I doubt the "excludes sales items" is something LEGO LEGO Shop at Home will mention.1 point

Please excuse the cross-post, but what do people in this dedicated thread think about this underground extension and the general idea of not building something into/onto a Modular but putting a complete set beneath it? Do you think there is a demand for something like this among Modular collectors (or more likely one-time buyers?)? https://ideas.lego.com/content/project/link/d5c2a435-8082-40f6-a76c-697b14ae73171 point

So this was my project for the week. I wanted to turn the Hidden Side Shrimp Shack into a MOD. It's not as polished as many that I see but I worked with the pieces I had on hand. I only had two of those brown arches so I just used white till I find some. So if any of you guys have some in your store please send the link.1 point

So it turned out Amazon uses 2 types of bubble mailers to ship sets. A bigger one for $30 MSRP sets and smaller one for $15-$20 MSRP sets.. YAY!!0 points
