Today was a sad day for me. Had to put our pet bunny to sleep. He was fine then all of a sudden stopped eating. Vet said rabbits are funny like that. We found him when the neighbor said a rabbit was running around their yard. He walked right up to us. He was blind in one eye and almost blind in the other. Took him home and fed and cleaned him up. Put ads out for a lost bunny but nobody claimed him. So he became our pet. We named him Stew. He was an awesome buddy and even litter box trained. The kids and me will miss him.5 points

Timmy upon seeing you hauling the displays out. “Man, 2020 is awful. They even cancelled Christmas. He’s taking the toys and displays, too!”3 points

Last night I built LEGO 30628 Monster book of Monsters. Really fun built with a large variety of pieces and building techniques considering the piece count. It has wheels and when you push it the mouth opens and the tongue can wiggle. Well worth the $20 and a great display piece. I posted a speed build on TikTok (same name) if that interests anyone.3 points

My Taskmaster Ambush came in bubble mailer. Had I sent my FBM items in these kinds of packaging I would have been AtoZ-ed up the wazoo. Bright side is I do not have to deal with the box divas when selling it on eBay2 points

Fred Meyer is running a 20% off sale (applies to all Lego sets) and is currently offering a $20 off of any $100 purchase (no restrictions). If you buy in batches of $125, it translates to a 36% discount. Again, this applies to any of the sets (including Ideas and new sets). Not sure if can be done online, but it can definitely be done in person.1 point

Also, builders/fans don’t just buy one, they buy many to build an army. So demand per customer is not simply 1:1.1 point

Yeah it is interesting that they wouldn't just leave it on the box. On the other hand, they do put the city and date so at least it has a little bit of significance compared to simply "made in China".1 point

I don't recall that post, but I started out in 2006 when my mom moved and brought all of my old Lego sets to my house. While figuring out what to do with them, I realized (1) I could sell the sets individually for a lot more than I could sell the lot, and (2) there were a lot of other people out there trying to figure out what to do with old Lego collections. I bought a used lot for $900 using money that I had built up doing Ebay arbitrage with used Maui Jim sunglasses. I broke that lot down into individual sets and doubled my money in a few months. I continued buying and selling used Lego until 2010 when I got more serious about things and started moving away from used lots towards new sets. I haven't reinvested 100% of my profits over the years, but I have reinvested the majority of them and grown that original $900 into far more than I could have ever imagined when I bought that first lot.1 point

I just counted back and I have 22 orders with Zavvi. Every single one have arrived unmolested. That's from the UK to rural Alabama. Not too bad.1 point
