Check Amazon's Treasure Truck today guys....this set is available to order today!5 points

But, it's only $40. 😐 If it was $400 I'd probably be concerned. Low risk gamble with high upside.4 points

I honestly find this set to be boring, too. I’m no great arbiter of awesome vs not awesome sets, but this set is just “meh” to me.2 points
-
I don't like the potential performance for a set that everyone and their grandmother is buying one of, and trying to flip. All after what happened to Bespin... and the fabled Nebulon B incident. This could be a long hold on a 230 piece set that you drop $40 on.2 points

The limit of 1 seems to apply across Amazon - I ordered via Treasure Truck and could not order on main site2 points

Thank you for the heads up.. I guess they got their hand smacked for the frigate... boooo limit 12 points

Just a reminder to everyone - and this isn’t directed at any one in particular as we’ve all been guilty lately - this thread is for posting of deals. We’ve been lax with the cross talk lately, but as the holidays approach, and potential deals come around, let’s keep it to a minimum. Instead, I encourage you to check out all the other forums we have. There’s a topic for just about every set out there. And if there’s not, create one! We have topics on speculating what’s going to retire, investment strategies, clearance at individual stores. Please go check them out. Thank you!2 points

Feel free to move this to order status, but yes CS told me I shouldn't get double VIP because the promotional period ended right when Batwing went live. They did however give me the extra 1300 points retroactively as a gift. YMMV1 point

This is just a quick reminder to those that got a Batwing in the minutes before the double VIP points ended to check your orders (now that most have shipped) and ensure that you got your double VIP points. I understand that some did not. Note to admin: I understand that this is somewhat off topic but it was originally brought up in this thread when people were talking about the set being available. I wanted to make sure that I hit those posters. 1300 points is 1300 points!1 point

I was able to snag five before they set the limit. Wish I had bought more now. Then again, five is getter than zero.1 point

FBA sent in. Received next day. Items show as inbound in Seller Central. Product page shows late January delivery if a customer orders. So my question is, how long is it taking people to see their items go live with normal delivery times.1 point

I've received a lot of those Lego specific boxes for sets that I've ordered from Amazon. I believe that they're only when I choose frustration free though.1 point

Double wall all the time. Always. Standard boxes double up on the large flats of a set, but I feel its better to have the strength in the sides and corners.1 point

In my experience, Target is the worst of all the major retailers. They must have started to catch on a bit, however, as at least the giant sized boxes they send the sets now have air pillows in them. The latest set was packaged fairly well, but alas, once I got to the Lego it was smooshed nicely.1 point

On Ebay, the people with the connections to buy anything in bulk at dirt cheap prices are going to have much higher feedback, or most likely an Ebay store. Let's say they ARE legit and just starting out. Why wouldn't they price these at $115? They would still sell through in days. The reason, they want to sell out in minutes, like they did, so they can get their money and erase their tracks. Even if people do get these, they are getting them drop-shipped from someone who is using a stolen credit card. But, people aren't getting these.1 point
-
I get people jumping on these Ebay deals that look incredible. But at a minimum, it ultimately increases costs, at some level or some venue, for others. At worst, you are funding some $hitbag that is taking advantage of others or an organized crime ring.1 point

Two lego sets in huge quantities and at a ridiculously low price, two pairs of shoes and some rulers. One feedback on anti flea & tick collar for dogs. Hmmm, I don't know ? It is a tough one to decide.1 point

Your question has been answered 100x over on this site. Different people have different needs and different investing strategies. This forum is clearly aimed at deals that pop up on occasion. I'm a little pissed I'm posting THIS in THIS forum. Because it doesn't belong here.1 point

So, let me get this straight. You are arguing that a company that innovates, employs probably tens of thousands and has worked hard for nearly 80 years is to be chastised because some of their product is marketed at a higher end price range? That opportunistic resellers (of which I am proudly one) are somehow more virtuous or less worthy of scorn than the company that makes what they do even possible? Really? That's the line you're going with? There are in fact some things that don't need to be said.1 point

this forum is a "den of thieves"...and as much as we think there's some sort of "Pirate's Code"...every one of us here are competing w/ everyone else. I'm on here daily and actually enjoy the "community"...but I harbor no disillusion that anyone here wouldn't trample me on a bee-line for a 30% sale...I would only hope that the train of shopping carts would not roll over me as well1 point

Nah they move 15-20 per day first week. Probably 10 or so per day now. It does move they just made quite a few to meet demand which keeps secondary market declining. They are just very good at stock levels now.1 point
-
Personally think it is more than that. Just off the first 2 weeks shipments if you times it by 100 stores it comes out to about 15k and both those shipments were 24s. All the early shop at homes have been 24 too. Then Legoland were all 24 even though their initial numbers aren't very high. Next shipment should give a better idea.1 point
-
Still all 24. Was approx 11k 24 and 16k 25 in first batches. Which explains why they never stocked out.1 point
